What a gem this place is! This family owned boutique resort was the BEST place we stayed at during our entire 3 week vacation in Thailand! We felt at home at the Sea Dance Resort in Koh Sumui. The outstanding accomodations and warm hospitality exceeded our expectations. At arrival, the staff greeted us by our names and during our entire stay, we were treated as friends not just patrons. The resort itself is reminiscent of a resort we stayed at in Bali. Each room is a free standing bungalow with a private pool in front. We felt particularly lucky to stay the bungalow closest to the beach with an ocean view. We stayed with our two young children and the staff set up mattress for each child. Even with the extra beds, the room was spacious and felt luxurious. The beds and pillows were comfortable and the room was very clean. The grounds and landscaping of the resort are amazing. The style and decor are beautiful and chic. We especially loved the main pool and restaurant. We enjoyed the breakfast including the fresh fruit and coffee every morning. Our favorite part of this incredible place is it's location on this very special beach. Being from Hawaii, it's hard to compete with our beaches, but this one is pretty wonderful! We spent hours walking and collecting shells along the shoreline. Our children enjoyed exploring the rocks and kayaking. We appreciated the kayaks and standup paddle boards the resort offered. We would gladly come stay again and recommend this place to our friends. Mahalo to Poy, Junior and the entire staff at the Sea Dance. The love and passion you have put into this place is apparent-what a magical place you have created! Value, location, cleanliness-all 5 STARS! Thank you and aloha, from Hawaii.…
I always try hard to be positive in my reviews, with Sea Dance I did not have to try hard at all. This is a wonderful, charming resort, a fabulous location, superb accommodation and amenities, great food and to top it all off delightful, friendly, professional staff. We stayed for five nights. The bungalow was roomy with a deck and splash pool. Sitting out there of an evening with drinks and tropical air was real paradise. Each bungalow is screened by bamboo plants or hedges. The dining area is an open-air round building with views over the beach out into the Gulf of Thailand. Breakfast was always enjoyable, a smorgasbord and a few plates of breakfast food and a bottomless cup of coffee. Service was always friendly, subtle and efficient. There is a large pool near the dinning area. I enjoyed an afternoon swim, a read and a snooze. The beach is very rocky and not suitable for swimming. I had a dip at high tide further up the beach. If you like, you could arrive at the resort and not leave for days and be content with eating in the restaurant lying around the pool or spend lazy days in the privacy of your own bungalow. We hired a bike which gave us the independence to visit interesting sites on the island, eat at different cafes and restaurants and sample Thai beer and cocktails at the various bars. Taxis are available and it is a short walk to the main road where there is a 7/11 and a couple of local eateries. Choeng Mon Beach is nearby, and it is an excellent and safe beach to go swimming. Poy and his staff are there to make your stay a total pleasure. For me it was a wonderful place to stay and I would recommend.…
Me and my wife had a great few days at this resort! It is in a beautiful part of Samui that we had never been to before and we loved it! The room was very nice, the restaurant had a lovely atmosphere, good food for a good price, and all of the staff and management were really friendly and attentive!
We ha a terrific brief stay at Sea Dance. From the start we were looked after like family in a relaxed, friendly way by the magement and super-competent staff that should be an example to every hotel. Our pol villa was lovely, comfortable, well furnished and designed. We really liked the circular dining area with the views out to sea, and enjoyed a lovely dinner and delightful breakfast. Proper espresso machine coffee was a big bonus. The hotel for us was the perfect quiet, chilled stopover. Next time we will stay longer!
Very friendly resort for higher demands. Breakfast very good. Paid dinner also excellent (mainly Thai cuisine). Staff very friendly and helpful. Lots of well-groomed nature in the resort. Quiet location.
Stayed here over the long weekend. Loved the place so much! + beach front + very peaceful part of Bophut + my villa had it own mini pool (make sure you get a villa with its own pool) + food options, although limited, I enjoyed all that I ordered including fresh fruit shakes + friendly staff + they even have their own organic garden I recommend this place + 7-11 is probably 600 meters away from the resort + friendly dogs visit the resort + internet is fast and they have their own netflix account for your tv needs Will definitely recommend this place! Thanks to Kate, John and the rest of the staff for making my stay seamless!
I did not stay here, but visited a few times to eat at there beautiful restaurant Very charming relaxing setting with a lovely nice breeze of wind from the sea to keep you nice & cool The staff are very polite & helpful, especially Helen who was very nice & went out of her way to make you feel welcome Food ordered was always very tasty & fulfilling, smoothies were so delicious Mango/Banana & Whipped Cream Looking forward to returning again for another visit
We had a room with a sea view, a private pool and relaxation area. We loved spending time in our pool and enjoying the peace and quiet due to the resort being so small! The staff were just great, especially Helen and Faith. Everyone here was friendly and talked to you everyday. The food at the restaurant was great and although it was more expensive than most local restaurants, you are paying for the good quality food and creative ways they presented it. Just outside the resort you can rent a scooter for only 200 baht a day and there is also a family that will wash your clothes for 50 baht per kg. It is a great location on the island and you can easily scooter around to Bo Phut, Chaweng and the fisherman’s market on Fridays. We enjoyed our experience overall and had so many wonderful moments but there were a few problems during our stay like cold water in the shower and one of the cleaning staff came into the room when I was almost naked and didn’t seem to care and didn’t speak hardly any English (I understand it is Thailand but it is a hotel resort and most staff spoke English or had a reasonable level to communicate). We also had a random drunk German guy wandering into our room in the middle of the night who was lost and came from the resort next door. When we called reception in a panic the night staff brought bug spray with him and we realised he misunderstood what we said as his English was really bad. We had to use translate on our phones at 3am. Not a fun experience. That was super unlucky and we are sure it has never happened before but it ruined a day of our holiday. The staff did deal with the situation within 48 hours and we were happy. If you are looking for a wonderful small resort to have some peace and quiet with great food, a nice atmosphere, lovely staff and cool cocktails then definitely book your holiday here!…
We just spent an amazing 6-day break in the Sea Dance Resort in Ko Samui. Everything about the resort was incredible and couldn't fault the hotel. Breakfast every morning was awesome and the staff were so attentive. We had the buffet one evening for dinner and this was also fantastic. The rooms were so clean and will definitely be back soon. Couldn't fault the resort and a big thanks to Helen and Faith who always greeted us every day with a smile.
Quiet, lovely place. Romantic location, amazingly friendly, helpful staff and fantastic food from the restaurant. The steamed sea bass was out of this world, had it twice. Rocky beach but a lovely beach 15 min away.
