The hotel has a variety of rooms (including bungalows) set in quite a large area of gardens, leading to the beach. The gardens were my favourite aspect of this hotel, in particular I enjoyed spotting the frogs in the various ponds around the resort. We had a Superior room, which was in a block. It was quite a walk to the restaurant/beach with a steep incline. This wasn't an issue for us, and there was always the option of golf buggies to get around. Our room was big and clean, and it had a balcony overlooking one of the pools. The furniture was a little dated, the beds were firm but comfortable. Breakfast was OK - there was a variety of rice/noodle dishes as well as an egg station. Not many options for vegans. The gym was well equipped for a for a hotel. Chaweng Noi is much quieter than the main Chaweng beach, or Lamai beach. There were a few restaurants and convenience stores on the street just outside the hotel. Our favourite restaurant was Phensiri Thai, which was a 10 minute walk away.…
We had a great time at Fair House Beach Resort. A really lovely hotel with the most friendly and helpful staff. Nothing was too much effort for Emmie and her team. Lovely big room for our family with a super comfy large double bed and two full size singles, and still plenty of room. The room was clean with pool/beach towels and free water available each day. Lovely shower and separate bath. Yes there is a hill, as many people mention but the cart will come and collect you within a few short minutes if you ask. We were the laziest tourists in town most days and got the cart from al over the hotel! Staff were always obliging and polite. Pools are both nice, with plenty of beds. We never struggled to get one. If anything, a little bit of music would be nice, just to liven things up for the children. Although that wasn’t an issue at all. Everywhere is so clean with garden maintenance happening all the time to keep the beautiful grounds tidy. It is a large, interesting site. The beach is beautiful with a lovely beach bar. The drinks are expensive which is to be expected but we often went to the very close 7-11 (there are two within 3-4 minutes walk of the hotel in either direction) and bought beers to drink on the beach. We walked along the beach in the evenings, which no one else seemed to do, no idea why, and visited other restaurants and hotel bars. A good selection can be found. Breakfast is good and lunch options nice, although expensive compared to surrounding places. Other than that the location is good for visiting the whole island. We paid between 200 and 300 baht (£5-7) for a taxi to the fisherman’s village which in our opinion had the nicer selection of restaurants etc for the family in the evening- lots of lovely meals on the beach. We also used either a tuktuk or taxi hailed from outside the hotel rather than the ones based in the hotel as they are much much cheaper. We did go to Chaweng but found it less appealing for the children. Not far for boat trips, Big Buddha or transfers by ferry to the mainland. We booked a trip to Kai Toh through Mr Tu trips which was great and good value. Hotel Staff were always super supportive and helpful with their advice. There is also a selection of restaurants along the main road on which the hotel is located but we didn’t go to many of those. The staff made a wonderful effort on Christmas Eve with a banquet meal, carolling and fire show. Food was delicious. All in all, a very lovely hotel with great staff in which our family felt safe and happy . Would highly recommend. …
We are currently spending a week in The Fair House Resort and I can say that from reception to the beach bar this resort is magnificently maintained with a very lush tropical feel. Rooms food and service are good good but the staff throughout are a joy to behold as they take glide around taking care of all en-sundae especially Mim at reception Mise Irish ☘️ Michael agus a cairdre
Hotel has a perfect beach with a lot of beds and a bar. Breakfast was good. the rooms where dark but had a lot of space. The cleaning was good and the beds comfortable. The staf was very frendly. The service was great.
Resort with many category of room... lush garden on the beach .. beach bar and restaurant direct on one of the best beach in samui. Staff helpful and friendly... improve dinner we think it is best to go out for dinner because not attractive menu. Bungalow in the beach nice but also in the main building with club car is it be ok and good value for money.
We are on our honeymoon travelling through Asia and stayed for 5 nights in the Fairhouse Beach Resort in a beachside cabin. On arrival, after a loooong travel day, a lot went wrong. First someone comes with all kinds of papers we had to sign and pay, which we already did through Booking.com so we show her the confirmations. The women dissapeared and never came back? I guess it was fine? Then the room was only available for 2 nights so, halfway through our stay, we had to go to another room, same type of room but not nice if you just want to relax. No sorry, no upgrade, no voucher or wat so ever just after 2 nights pack your stuff and move. We also never got contacted about all this what was said to our sleepy heads... so the day it had to happen we had no clue whatwhat to do. So we wait around the cabin.. this cost us a half day of our vacation packing/unpacking, waiting, waiting, waiting and moving. And last we had to do laundry after already traveling for more then 2 weeks. The hotel provides 24hr service, or so they say. It cost us 1800baht!!! And was not done in the 24hr they promised.. again no sorry or what so ever just deal with it. A very very dissapointing start of a further good stay. People on the bars and restaurants are very nice, food is good, rooms are ok and beach is great and Koh Samui definitely worth visiting! Not so sure if i would recommend this place, people are friendly as long things go right but for all our inconvenience we didnt even get a sorry.…
We came to koh samui for our honeymoon, from the image we saw the hotel looked amazing with a nice beachfront view the staff at the reception welcomed us in a nice way and then they took us to our room once entered the room smelled like sewers we told the staff who escorted us to the room she jst said keep the door open for awhile we waited for one hour and the smell was getting stronger we called the reception to change our room and they did the new room was bigger but unfortunately mosquitoes was infested in the bathroom and the room was very dark no bathroom robes beach towels were dirty and full of sand response from the staff was very slow im really disappointed because a hotel with these potentials could be one of the best hotels in koh samui if the took care of the small details …
This was our 9th visit to the Fairhouse beach hotel and we think it has improved. We had booked an ocean view beach bungalow. The bungalow was the last bungalow on the beach and was very good and quiet at night. The view was amazing. The house keeper cleaned our room everyday and provided clean towels. The beach is beautiful with soft sand and crystal blue warm water. The gardens are beautiful and well looked after. We loved watching the squirrels playing and running up and down the trees. There is a hill you need to climb if you want to go out of the hotel but, there are golf buggies to take you up to the main road. The beach staff are excellent and always very helpful. All the staff are hard working but, always take the time to say hello.
Absolutely highly recommended. We spent a whole week there. Good bungalows near the breach front, food, bar reasonable . Excellent beach part. Very close to town by motor bike. I would always come here. Very helpful staff. Clean. A real holiday feeling.
been there for a 3 weeks vacation in April 2018 and everything was fine. Had a nice, big room with a huge bathroom, shower and tub, Servive was excellent, all sunbeds included, poolside and on the beach. You can call the desk for driver service to the main entrance, for the buildings are spread on a hill facing the sea.
