Our sixth visit to Tongsai Bay had exceeded expectations. Recent renovations were upgraded an already excellent resort. The new Evil and Rhoy Rhoy restaurants are a "must have" for any visit. Evol was exceptional and Chef Joy and team made a few memorable meals. Christmas and New Year will never be the same after our experience in Tongsai Bay - every member of staff went over and beyond to make our stay exceptional. It was great to meet many familiar team members who, under the leadership of Mark and Manuel, make sure that every day is a personalised and unique experience. We will return later in the year and there are no words that would adequately give credit to all the staff who hold in the highest regard. We just finished a 5 night stay at the resort and have had the most incredible time! The villa was gorgeous and the view from our private pool was one of the best views we have ever had! We truly appreciated the attention to detail and the resort’s love and appreciation for nature - they’ve embraced it and truly are a green hotel. The food was amazing, as was the private beach. What we loved about this resort is that it wasn’t overly packed with tourists like many of the other beach side resorts - it had a beautiful serenity and calmness about it, and that’s largely due to the type of crowd it attracts. The best part hands down were the amazing staff who became our friends. The professionalism, helpfulness and friendliness of the staff is next level. We were greeted by familiar faces every day at breakfast, in the lobby and anywhere we went around the resort. A special shout out to Kaiki who checked us in and looked after us the entire stay. We loved the juice lady, and my 7 year old son really connected with Don and one of the guys who drove us to and from our room in the buggy (sorry can’t remember his name!). The general manager - a lovely German guy - was awesome too. He made it a point to come out and chat to the guests every morning at breakfast and check in to see how they were doing. When we checked out, he even made sure to come out to see us off with the other staff. We truly felt sad leaving - it was like leaving family. Exeptional tranquility and hospitality, the attention to every detail in interiors, in gardens and to any guests‘wish. We enjoed a privacy of the jungle forest and beautifull beach where you get everything you can imagine - enough beachbeds, a pair of big towels per person, sport beach equipment, water with ice for free. I personally very thankful that there were no music at the beach - only music of birds and waves. Rear possibility to escape from civilization and meet very friendly people and real aboundance.

An amazing resort! They have thought of everything .... fantastic food, great service and overall a wonderful experience. The staff were amazing, also making sure that you were comfortable and had everything you needed. The child play centre was a bonus. I was super impressed at how environmentally conscious this resort was. Special mention that they did not destroy the natural habitat to build this resort. Complete bliss! Highly recommended!

Just spent 4 nights at tongsai bay (wish I could have spent more)at the end of our family holiday in Thailand. What can I say the place is beautiful with the buildings blending into the tropical gardens and it's own private bay for a nice dip in the sea. The pool area is magnificent with a giant swimming pool. The room was fantastic and had everything we could need my wife and my two boys found it very spacious. The breakfast was out of this world with something for everyone,unfortunately we didn't get to have dinner but I'm sure it would have been fantastic. The real clincher for me was all the lovely staff nothing was too much trouble and they all went above and beyond to make our stay so special. So thank you tongsai bay and your wonderful staff can't wait to come back.

I don’t know where to begin… We booked a week in one of their pool villas for our honeymoon. The price was reasonable, pictures of the room looked stunning, and neither of us had ever been to Samui so the storied past of this place was a bonus. What we expected: Luxurious large suite with a Private pool and outdoor tub A 5-star breakfast Buffett A pretty ocean view for some sunrises or sunsets (we didn’t research which we’d get) Some decent on site restaurants and spa, which we’d maybe try out but mostly we’d explore the island for meals and massage. What we EXPERIENCED: Luxurious large suite with a Private pool and outdoor tub (it was breathtaking) A 5-star breakfast Buffett (excellent variety, everything was fresh, many locally sourced ingredients) A pretty ocean view for some sunrises (It’s on the sunrise side, though dusk is also beautiful, even though you can’t seen the sun set) Fantastic restaurants (we needed up eating most of our meals at the resort, it was so good and there were a ton of options. Including a street food themed night and a seafood bbq!) Excellent spa experiences (I got a massage every other day) A Nightly turndown service that became an event we both looked forward to all day. Those little fresh treats, mostly Thai snacks and sweets were such a great touch. The BEST 5-star experience we’ve ever had. The service was above and beyond, I could name a dozen names of staff members we met during our stay who were helpful, kind, generous, funny and exceptionally hospitable. They take pride in the grounds, their work, and the guest experience. It shows through in every smile, greeting, and response to a request. The manager of the spa found us during breakfast to check in after our massages the day before. Another manager chatted with us on our last night as we had our last mango sticky rice of the week, telling stories of the resort and island over the decades he’s been there. The servers offered excellent recommendations for the days we did go off onto the island and educated us on traditional Thai dishes both at the restaurant and at the markets we’d later attend. The sous chef hosted a cooking class for us which was so much fun. The restaurants were all fantastic, and short of a few stands at the local night markets I think Rhoy Rhoy must be the best Thai food on the island. I can go on for days. It was the trip and stay of a lifetime. We will certainly be back some day and look forward to seeing many familiar faces when we do.…

We stayed for 11 nights over Christmas/New Year. Thoroughly enjoyed every minute. From previous trips and after visiting other hotels, on Koh Samui, during this holiday I would say this is this is the best hotel on the island. Not overcrowded, plenty of staff, no queuing at breakfast, sun beds always available, not to mention the incredible friendly staff. We usually eat out locally when in Thailand but the standard of food was so good at the hotel we ate in the hotel restaurants nearby every night. Highly recommended,

Like most people, I heavily base my hotel choices on reviews and did heavy research on where to stay in Koh Samui I even had a spreadsheet comparing places! After reading the reviews on Tongsai I knew we had to spend our honeymoon here and we are loving every single second. I will leave a detailed review on everything at the end of our stay, but the key to this gorgeous place is how it’s run. I can’t imagine the work that must go in behind the scenes to make such an efficient hotel function so effortlessly but they make it appear easy. We arrived 2nd Jan very jet lagged after spending one night in Bangkok and instantly felt like we’d arrived in another world. Drinks, snacks, towels were brought to us on arrival as we sat and looked over the stunning view from the lobby of the pool and beach framed with greenery and wildlife. We didn’t think our room would be ready until normal check in time of 2pm but by 12 we were shown to our gorgeous room - we are in 119 which has a bathtub on the balcony (they’d already drawn us a bath!) with flowers everywhere, a bottle of sparkling wine on ice, fruits and chocolates not to mention the gorgeous swan with rose petals laid out on our bed. After a night you receive a survey asking how everything is, what a brilliant idea, we mentioned there being some tiny flies in our room, probably due to the fruit but it wasn’t a big deal and we didn’t think much of it. At breakfast the front of house manager Nok personally came to find us to ask us about this and said how they’re addressing it asap! Nok - thank you for your incredible hospitality! It’s clear the staff have experience with making everything perfect for guests. We’ve previously stayed all inclusive at beachside places and I was worried before about having breakfast only included, this feels like all inclusive!! Daily we have 4+ bottles of water in the room, complimentary tea and coffee and daily cookies to our room (morning AND afternoon!) The pool staff will place towels for you and bring glasses of water on arrival, they then continue top up water like clockwork! Last night there were complimentary cocktails on the beach and staff are always keen to chat to you and give advice of where to go and what to do on the island, it’s genuinely such a caring environment. We’ve met Mark the manager and the deputy they’re around daily making sure things are running smoothly. So we’d like to thank the all of the staff for this incredible experience so far and for making two tired NHS doctors feel completely pampered on our first holiday in 4 years!! A truly rest and relaxing 2 night stay here ! Usually there are many things to do when your in Samui but staying at Garrya Tongsai Bay was so comfortable that we rarely ventured out. Having the Pool Villa Suite gave us a beautiful view of the sea and a personal space to just relax, dip, read , do light work and nap ! The private beach had activities and the staff made you feel comfortable and at home ! Bed and pillows were great and the space of the room !
