The resort concept is beautiful. We stayed in a 2 bed villa with a massive pool and swim up bar/grill. Living area was completely open. A-mazing photos and relaxing stay. Because our pool was so big, we never went to the resort pool at all. Outside showers attached to the bedroom is also gorgeous but the shower water never got hot. Barely warm. And the entrance to the resort is very seedy. Down 2 dirty alleyways that were difficult to walk at night. That said, the food is outstanding and our experience with the staff was great! The villa was magical. Be careful of the different levels of bedroom floor when you get up at night. They also coordinated a special beachside dinner to celebrate a birthday. Wonderful time - even with cold showers!

We were a group of 6 adults family and friends, first time on Koh Samui. First impression was not good as the entrance to the resort was a narrow unmade track with no indication that a hotel was there. After that we had a warm welcome and very friendly reception crew. Our original villa booked was not available as not finished being made, but we were upgraded at no extra cost to the 3 bed beach front villa. Highly recommend booking this option as you get gorgeous views of the beach and sea. The whole place is very clean as it’s all quite new. It’s a great location on the beach, not too far from the airport and walking distance from the Fishermans Village for eating and drinks. We did eat at the Karma resort and the food was delicious. The reception arranged taxi minibuses for our group for short trips and days out. All very reasonable. Few teething issues but Charly was quick to respond. The only downside we found was the outside loo and bathrooms were a challenge as not air conditioned like the bedrooms and a fight with mosquitoes as you sit on the loo! The floor near the pool and the Lilly pad stepping stones were very slippery when wet. Some complimentary drinks in the villa was a nice touch too. Overall we would recommend it, but possibly not with small children.

If you’re in for tranquility and privacy in a stylish environment with excellent services, enjoy the hotel from dinner to breakfast. Choose the Signature Villa, it is spacious and beautifully designed, with a private pool, and marvelous outdoor waterfall shower as well as a roof terrace for privacy. If you want to be seen in many pictures in a stylish property and share a crowded and somewhat noisy public pool and restaurant with many other families, come here as a day visitor and don't forget to reserve a lounger for the pool (don't forget, it's pretty busy here). The capacity of the pool restaurant and sun loungers for pool and beach is designed way too large for the hotel capacity: The property is more of a (public outdoor pool) restaurant with hotel than a hotel with restaurant. And yes, next door is a sometimes noisy construction site. But the crowds around the pool are louder, and even the nearby Signature Villas don't protect against that noisy public outdoor pool and restaurant business. If you are looking for a hotel that offers peace and privacy during the day, look elsewhere or try for one night first. Don't expect to find tranquility just because visual design conveys serenity.

After I received average service on the arrival date. When I woke up, I wish to start my tranquil morning at the beach. Unfortunately I walked pass breakfast area with loud noise complaining their customer’s too early order from service crew during their preparation. I sat at the table for with no any attentions. Then a moody breakfast service attendent came to take my order offensively. She might not in a good mood this morning so she made me so.

The concept and design are nice with a lot beautiful plants. The location is convenient at a walking distance to fisherman’s village and a short ride from the airport or the Lomprayah pier to Ko Tao/Pangan. But overall the service is below from what is expected at this price point. Some of the staff were nice but mostly the atmosphere isn’t great and staff don’t seem very happy, not necessarily welcoming or friendly. Also although the design and ideas are nice, it is not very well constructed and is not aging nicely as it doesn’t seem to be getting the maintenance it would need. Taps and shower only half kind of work with some broken faucets, the outdoor shower even though very appealing as a concept, didn’t work properly. Everything is chipped, scratched or stained and mould is growing in many areas. Cleanliness wasn’t on point either, with stains left in many locations, in the bathroom, toilets, floors, furniture and curtains… Another unpleasant thing, was to be informed of construction noise occurring during the day as a new resort is being built next door at the moment (April 2023). I was informed only after the non refundable booking was fully processed, without being given the option for a refund. I suspect they made bookings to be non refundable only for this reason.

Just stayed at Karma Resort for a week (16/01/23 - 23/01/23) and the place is beautiful, room is lovely, breakfast is fine and staff very friendly. My only negative point is the beach is a bit dirty with lots of plastic, plastic bottles lids, etc. not only on the sand but on the beach edges. Would be a good idea for the management to organise for the staff first thing in morning to collect all the rubbishes around the resort beach and it would take just 10 minutes to do it, Also place a BIG notice for the guests/non guests to also collect their rubbish after leaving the beach and place in the bin that is provided. I was sad to see so many plastic on the beach and water.

Today, my partner and I went to the Karma Resort (hotel, Beach Club & Restaurant) to have lunch and swim in the sea and in the pool. The hotel and bar/restaurant premises and the pool are beautiful. Despite making a reservation, when we arrived at 11 am nobody knew about it or received us, and we spent more than 30 minutes lying on the pool beds without any attention or service. Then I decided to approach the manager/bar tender?, a very friendly Canadian citizen, and requested him towels and a drink list. There was a slim local waiter wandering around but he was of no help. I had to start opening the big umbrella, because this guy was good for nothing. Finally, after one hour a waitress came to take our drink order, and believe it or not the Resort had run out of tomato juice for the Bloody Maries, so I have to order a Mai Thai instead. For lunch, we ordered a Shrimp ceviche and Beach Flower scallops as appetizers, and a Pork chop and a Lab tuna for seconds, but the waitress brought all the dishes together!!! Adding two sodas, the billI came for 2,320 Bahts ($67.35), which was reasonable for the good food. Happily, they did not charge us the usual 10% of service, because this was the worst of the experience. I will return when they change the waiters.

First things first: We have travelled a fair bit and have seen quite a few hotels. I have to say that Karma is among the top when it comes to style. Be it the style of the villas, the ponds and plants or the interior design - somebody did invest a lot of thought (and likely money) into this. The room was big enough for us and our two children (one in an extra bed, the other one in our bed). It was nice to have our own little pool as the main pool area can get pretty busy, especially on weekends. This is also due to the fact that outside guests are allowed to the pool area. As a result, you need to book your spot a day in advance. In our opinion hotel guests should be given preference. We were there for six days and during the day there was noisy building work right next to the hotel (see picture). We presume that Karma will get an extension, but we do not know for sure. We found the noise to be quite loud at times and felt that this should have been communicated by the hotel before arrival in order to give guests the opportunity to cancel. The room included breakfast but we had to pay another 500BHT/day for the breakfast of our second child. Given that the choice of breakfasts is big enough yet limited (e.g. only one hot drink included), we think that breakfast is overpriced. Also, we felt rushed at times, as restaurant staff tried to take away our plates immediately after we had finished (or even before). Altogether, it‘s a great hotel with a lot of style. However, given the issues regarding noise, pool area and breakfast, we would probably not return.

Where do I begin... from the moment we arrived at this hotel we felt we were in complete paradise. The hotel is decorated beautifully, and the greenery and nature surrounding the rooms/walkway as you make your way to the pool create the most peaceful tranquil environment. We stayed at the hotel for a week and found it the perfect length to enjoy the hotel and everything Koh Samui has to offer. The staff were super attentive, and always made an effort in the mornings to say hello, and often remembered our orders which was a nice touch. One of the bar staff, I believe the manager was accommodating and would inform us of events happening over the coming days that we could attend in the evenings. The pool is beautiful, but be aware that during the day it can become very busy with guests visiting for the day - this was one of the slight downfalls, as the hotel claims to be a zen calming retreat but there were multiple days when there were groups celebrating birthdays, etc that would visit the hotel for the day which happened to be very loud. Unfortunately, the hotel doesn't limit the number of external guests that visit the resort so it can become crowded very easily. Overall we were very satisfied, the rooms are absolutely gorgeous and the outside showers are such a beautiful touch. We will definitely look to return to Karma Resort in the near future! Thank you all :)

Absolutely wonderful week spent here at this resort. It is beautifully decorated, comfortable, and worth of taking a million photos! Awesome air conditioning and seriously no bugs! I'm not sure how they pull that off! The staff is kind and never seems to stop smiling. A beach massage for $14 USD that is absolutely the best massage I've ever had (I paid double as the tip because I couldn't believe how amazing it was!) Excellent food and concierge service that set up amazing excursions to an elephant sanctuary and a trip around the incredible national marine park. Karma is incredible. The beach is beautiful and just a ten minute walk on the sand to more restaurants and night market. Please please tip well when you go because the staff here deserves it!
