We enjoyed our dinner so much that we went back a second night! There are lots of high-end restaurants in Bophut, charging over the odds for food (for Thailand), so The Lodge is a real hidden gem. It's overlooking the beach so a lovely location, is very reasonably priced and the serving staff are oh so sweet and polite. As well as really tasty meals, the meal presentation was so thoughtful and decorative - not just thrown together on a plate. They also understood the concept of starters before mains, which often wasn't the case in other places! We were upset that the restaurant wasn't busier, so I'm hoping my review will encourage more people to eat here.

A great little hotel in the heart of Fisherman’s Village with its own beach front. Well appointed rooms and those facing the beach benefit from great views to wake up to in the morning. All the staff were exceptionally helpful and eager to make your stay memorable but I would like to single out Lyn on reception for a special mention.

I had to spend one night in Samui before flying to Europe and a friend recommended me this hotel located in the heart of Fisherman village in Boh Phut. Once I arrived the welcome was warm and professional. The day after I had to go to immigration and to a clinic to have a Covid test done thus manager June Villa was super helpful in organizing a rental scooter for me for the next day. The staff too is very nice and speak good English.
The room was spacious and with a sea view and the sound of the gentle waves was the lullaby for the night. Continental breakfast was plenty and was served on the beach.
I would recommend it to anyone.

As soon as I arrived at The Lodge, I saw that it is far from being a 4-star hotel. We used some extremely steep and narrow stairs to carry our luggage up to the 3rd floor. The room was not clean enough, we cleaned it, and there was loud music from a beach bar in the room. We asked the manager about the noise and he assured us that it would be quiet after 10-11 p.m. But in the evening I could not sleep easily because of the noise. Breakfast is a joke, I said we don't go out for a transparent coffee, a croissant and a slice of toast with jam... In the evening, of course, unbearable loud music.... we didn't sleep at all, and at 24:30 we tried to tell the people at the bar to turn the music down! But they had a private party... the second sleepless night. I looked for another hotel, I found it with difficulty a day later, and I announced at the hotel that I was leaving, having one more night to endure, the third.

This hotel is by no mean a hotel to stay in if you want to rest the whole night, due to the big noise coming from the bar next to the hotel, playing loud music starting in the afternoon and ending sometimes only at about 1:00 am, when the rest of the village is really quiet.
We had to leave the hotel 4 days before the check out day, due to the loud music, and the 4 days were not paid back to us on the reason that it is normal to habmve noise in a night live spot.
The bathroom is also very rusty.
There is no elevator to go up to the third floor and the stairs are very steep, with not enough place to put your whole feet on. Ymthe stairs do not look safe to walk on, especiay for eldery people.
We were informed by email that the room will be charged on our credit card 2 days before the advertised 20 days in advance !! Big mistake from our side to have paid, but we recommend to anyone that do care of his/her sleep either not to book or to cancel the booking before it is too late.
The view from the bed on the 2nd floor is great, but if you go on the balcony, you might see first a ugly roof.
I am not sure why this hotel has 4 stars, as out of our experience it looks very similar with other 1, 2 or no stars hotels we have stayd in in Thailand.

Stayed in Penthouse Room nice room good location. However it's not worth the money it's actually a two star hotel. No pool, No Tea and Coffee facilities, Room Service bulldust you have to go down the 3 flights of stairs to order food. Breakfast included give me a break 2 pieces of toast and one croissant is not breakfast and it's the same every day. TV with cable channels doesn't work and tv is about the same size as my laptop display. House keeping is terrible didn't make up room some days and no water on other days. For $100 a night you expect a bit more. DO NOT stay here find another place in fisherman's village as it's definitely the nicest part of Koh Samui. Finally this sums up the puffery used in their advertising. Bathroom has a bidet, in what universe is a bum gun a bidet?

I first visited The Lodge in 2009 on the recommendation of some Thai Army Generals who've vacation their previously. Had a great stay in 2009 and was glad to see it was just as great when I went back in 2020.

Since my first visit they've renovated their kitchens and expanded their service to provide high quality thai and foreign food at reasonable prices.

The beachfront is still awesome with two great trees giving you shade (if you want) and the water is always warm and feet from your door.

I had a quick meal here, tried the burger and French fries. A really good price for the area, and the burger was really tasty… Chips fried to perfection! This is one of the restaurants that also serves all of the Standard European style condiments, Which you appreciate when most of the other restaurants hardly even offer ketchup at the table. A nice break from Thai food, but they offer Thai dishes if you fancy them.
Restaurant was very clean and the service very attentive. My server spoke very good English and attention to detail was on point. Nice view of the beach when you sit outside.
Also tried the rosé wine which was delicious. A lovely French Provence at a great price! Highly recommended and will be back!

Having stopped at this bar several times over the last week, we could not fault it. The staff were excellent and promoted the happy hour on cocktail’s which were very good. A great location and generally there was always a table free. On the last stop we tried the burgers which were excellent. Give it a try!

I can only comment about the restaurant. After eating Thai food for breakfast, lunch and dinner for a week straight, we were in search of a good burger. This place greatly exceeded our expectations. Beef burgers and chicken burgers were both excellent.
