this hotel is very convenient if travelling from the south of france forwards. Not far from the autoroute and in a very pretty village. The owners were welcoming and helpful. The rooms a good size. ours could have also accommodated a child and there was a connecting door if needed to the next-door double room so very flexible.Lovely view over... More

A delightful family-run logos with friendly and helpful staff. The rooms are spacious, clean and well-stocked with toiletries (even toothbrush & toothpaste for those of a forgetful disposition!) The breakfasts were generous - fruit salad, natural yoghurt, sausage, cheese to say nothing of the bread, croissants, and patisseries. Dinner was good value and of very good quality each evening. All... More

We stayed an overnight at this welcoming hotel, having booked the night before. They were accommodating, trusting and welcoming. The room was very comfortable and had little details and 'little' comforts, not only the regular soap and shampoo, but water and glasses for it, cotton make up remover pads, cotton swabs, towel heaters, etc. And a cute, humorous heart cushion... we chose the hotel due to its location near the autoroute. the hotel is simply but well furnished. the wifi in the rooms is much better than the norm. but the best bit is the restaurant. the food is purchased locally, prepared, presented and served as per a Michelin starred restaurant. the lady who served us is classically trained. we... Great place to stopover with the dogs, with the amazing Foret de Troncais just a couple of kilometres down the road. Room was fine although fairly basic, but worth stopping here just for the food. Dinner was amazing, and breakfast was delicious, including home made fruit compote and fromage frais, warm croissants and pain au chocolat, cheese, charcuterie and bread... More

This is a very good hotel for one night. The rooms very clean, airy and comfortable - meals were of a very high standard and good value for money. The menu displayed the local sources so that was evident in the quality of the food. The staff very friendly and helpful. However, on our booking form registering was from 4.00pm... More

Bed, breakfast and dinner for €130 plus wine etc is great value, especially when dinner was as good as this: four course menu with amuse bouches, extensive cheese board and nice wines for under €20 a bottle. The bedrooms are not of the highest quality but comfortable enough. The village itself is pretty and worth a stroll round. We'd stay... More

A very quiet hotel in a very w quiet French village about 80 miles south of Bourges, an excellent stop-over for those doing a Chunnel Spain/South of France journey. Very good food (a 29 Euro menu) and exceptional value rooms (a double-bedded room for 64 Euros). Good free Parking and very pleasant people

We stayed only one night on our way south. My husband was feeling unwell and because the restaurant does not open on Sundays we should have eaten at the Auberge de Ris 2 km away. We cancelled through the hotel....not a problem. There was a lovely family feel about the place with the owners 2 little boys chattering in the... More

We stayed here on the way to South of France. The village is very pretty with a river flowing through. We thought the dinner we had was excellent but the rooms were rather disappointing. They looked very shabby and outdated. My husband thought he was in danger from the loose toilet seat. I think I might stay again though just... More
