I had a wonderful time in this place. The guesthouse is on a remote place but that makes it extra special. It is a nice place in a beautiful location. The food was good, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the room was nice and practical. You can rent locally diverse gear to use for water sports. We hiked along the several trails, experienced the beautiful waterfalls, snorkeled the crystal waters, kayaked in the sea, and surfed the nice waves (my son did... I chose the body board…). In the evening guests and staff got together exchanging stories, accompanied by nice food and wine. I even put my rusty fingers to use, playing on the available guitar. It is an ideal place to contemplate and experience nature at its best. Zeca
Just the title it is enough to describe this place. Faja de Santo Cristo is one of the best spot in Azores, located in Sao Jorge Island. The Guest house provides for all the amenities, hot water, breakfast, meals if you ask. The internet connection is slow or absent, but it really doesn't care in a place like that. Ocean and mountain join together to gift you one of the best panorama I ever seen. Just go there and see! If you need a private transportation from near Faja, just ask to the owner or you can walk for 40 minutes along the oceanside. Another beautiful trail to arrive to the Guest House departs from Serra do Topo. It is two hours and half to arrive to the guesthouse, but it really worth the try (it is not so difficult, the trail is all downhill, and you can take a bath in the waterfall you'll find quite at the end of the trail).…
