The hotel is nice, very close to the beach. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is nice, you have a lot of choice of different food. There is also a pool and sunbeds with umbrellas around it and they are free for hotel guests. Beside the pool is a hotel bar. There is also a small playground for children.
Their family was visiting the owners. The spoiled children screamed all the time, even at 2 in the morning they screamed as if they were alone. If you want a peaceful holiday, I strongly advise against it.
We were greeted on arrival by Anastasia who was helpful, warm and friendly. Our apartment was modern, large, well-equipped and beautifully furnished. The pool is large and well maintained and is a great alternative to the beach on days when it is windy. The nearby St Nicolas Beach is is a good size sandy beach with a bar, sunbeds and shallow crystal-clear water. We were surprised how few British tourists visit this beautiful island due, we assume, to the lack of direct flights from the UK. It is well worth the ferry journey or short flight from Rhodes and is one of the only islands which we plan to re-visit. There are several excellent Tavernas in Arkasa village which is a pleasant 15 minute stroll from the hotel. Hiring a car is a must (we used United in the village who were excellent) in order to see the island and, in particular, Olympos in the north. We would not hesitate to return to The Royal Beach as our holiday there was wonderful and our thanks go to Andreas, Sofia, Anastasia and Lola (plus the cats & kittens) for making it even more memorable. Royal beach is a lovely hotel in Arkassa, next to the one of the most beautiful beach is Karpathos St. Nicolas. Room was big and clean, stuff was very friendly and polite. A lot of choice for breakfast (do not forget on the cats :D). Near by is very good restaurant Glaros with fresh Greek food with normal prices. I recommend that you rent a car to visit other places as well, but Arkassa and Royal beach hotel is the best place to stay.
highly recommended! we stayed for a week in August, the staff was great, very friendly and helpful. the room was big enough, and had all the kitchen supplies and fresh towels and sheets as much as we asked. arkassa is beautiful place to stay- but u will need a car.
Great location of the hotel just about 100 meters from a lovely beach. Most of the days the waves are fine for surfing (therefore, not good for swimming). Just one day of the week the sea was quiet as a lake. Hotel is clean, rooms are spacious. Food is not provided by this hotel except breakfasts that fine. You can walk to tavernas in Arkasa for dinners and have lunch on the beach in the beach bar or another restaurant at the beach. I loved our stay at this hotel and plan to return again. Owners are kind and friendly.
Great place for stay at Karpathos. The hotel is located in a very close proximity to the beach (approximately 100 meters) and that's the main reason why we chose this hotel for our vacation. We enjoyed very nice breakfasts (toasts, bread, bacon, sausage, beans, ham, cheese, butter, marmalade, cucumber, tomatoes, fresh orange juice, tea, coffee, watermelon, apples peaches, etc.) with sea view and pool view. The rooms are daily-cleaned, large, quiet and equipped with a free of charge air conditioner. The swimming pool is very nice and clean. We highly recommend this place for your stay at Karpathos!
Fantastic facilities and location. Literally walking distance from the beach. Nice and clean swimming pool Great accommodation bungalows and appartments. Owner and staff are very hepful and polite will meet all your needs. If i were to improve sth that would be the service at the pool bar but thats just a note
We had a great time in this nice hotel! Had a room with the sea view and it was amazing! Very clean, obviously underwent a reconstruction not long ago. Very friendly and caring staff, breakfast with variety of fresh fruit and oranges to squeeze your own fresh juice included! A/C was included but we never used it, opening the windows was just fine. Agios Nicolaos beach is just down from the hotel, very nice, shallow water, not too crowded, net for beach volleyball and sometimes waves big enough to surf! Arkasa village is just a short walk away, lots of tavernas, don't miss watching the sunset from Stema bar! The windsurfing paradise in Afiartis is just a 10 minute drive over the hill. Karpathos offers many beautifull beaches, mountain villages, friendly people and most of all isn't spoiled by massive crowds of tourists. It's also very clean, you won't see any garbage anywhere and you can even fill waterbottles with springwater from the tap by the road in many places.…
Great and excellent place to have some rest in Karpathos! Service and rooms are perfect. Lovely support from Despina, at the reception. Me, Martina & Elia were very happy and ready to come back for sure! Thanks for everything.
