Beautiful rooms, spectacular views, very, very welcoming staff. Compared to Funchal, which has its nice things, but is a bit of a tourist trap, this hotel and its environment are a haven of beauty. Weather on the northern side of the island obviously less sunny...More

The room was nice, the beds were a little bit too hard. There were fruits and chocolates before arrival. The staff was outstandind and the view from the hotel is amazing. Breakfast was really good (fresh fruits, bread, natas, eggs,...).

Would not call it a stroll as can remember one very steep hill. Mind you hills everywhere from the hotel which I thoroughly recommend.
