Situated in a small riverine forest, Caprivi Mutoya Lodge & Campsite lies on the banks of a tranquil backwater of the Zambezi River, approximately 24km east of Katima Mulilo. A variety of accommodation is available, which includes en-suite self-catering tents, self-catering chalets, and a campsite. For those not wishing to cater, delicious meals are available in the restaurant. Facilities on offer includes a bar and restaurant, small seating area with books & games; and access to WIFI. Surrounding the restaurant is a large wooden deck, with a fire pit, offering stunning lake views. There is also a small swimming pool for those wishing to cool off on sweltering hot days. On offer are a variety of water activities. Bicycles are available for guests wishing to explore the surrounding bush and forest areas. Guests can row out on canoes to view crocodiles, hippos and the myriad of birds the lake has to offer. For the more adventurous we can arrange a traditional Makoro (African canoe) ride for a bit of cultural experience. Boat outings are also on offer for fishing, sundowners and bird viewing. Fishing is done from either our boats on the lagoon, or organised for on the main Zambezi River through other lodges. The arrays of fish that can be caught include tiger fish, barbel, pike, a variety of bream and other lesser-known species. Caprivi Mutoya supports catch and release. For those only wanting to relax, nature watching can be done from the restaurant deck overlooking the water. Nature walks can also be taken around the lodge and within the surrounding forests. Trips to view Southern Africa’s largest Carmine Bee Eater’s colony can also be arranged. Day tours can be organised to either Bwabwata National Park in Namibia, Chobe National Park in Botswana or Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe.

We loved camping here. The sites had lush green grass, large trees, and the ablutions were clean. Terrific deck to watch the sunset. We didn't eat there but the dining/bar area looked nice. Staff was very friendly too. Would gladly stay here again!

The place is beautiful and secluded from main road. Lovely rooms and very friendly management and staff Dinner wasn’t so nice on check in day but a good breakfast compensated for that. I would stay there again

We stayed there last week for only one night. We liked the place. Very relaxed, calm spot near the water. The view is great, and so is the staff. The food was also delicious. Unfortunately we stayed here for a stop over only.
