I have just got back from (29.8.19) two weeks at this hotel. This has been the best hotel I have ever stayed at, beautiful large resort, four pools and a large aqua park, plus the beach, four restaurants and the main buffet restaurant. Nice large room cleaned daily. I really can't wait to go back next year, my son and I had a fantastic time 😍

11 night trip in a Sea View Bungalow, we arrived in the early hours to a very efficient check in service from Stelios on Reception. We were then taken to our room by buggy, One point I would note and this is not a criticism of the hotel, was that our holiday agent, JET2 Holidays list the transfer time from Chania as 90 minutes - in fact our transfer was a tortuous 3 hours, with 2 children late at night was far from ideal. To many drop offs in locations to far spread from each other - have to recommend a private transfer (100 euro each way but JET 2 quote £160 on their website). The hotel is huge but somehow manages not to feel that way, we stayed in a Sea View Bungalow which lived up to its name with a fantastic view over the sea and pool Staff are absolutely fantastic, very attentive and try their very best to cater for your every need. Some people are just never happy though and you can see some ridicolous complaints going on from guests which spoils everyones experience somewhat. Some staff are also very harsh on the trainee staff, and i witnessed several times senior staff shouting at young trainees, - i know they are striving for the best service but so unneeded. We tried every pool at the hotel, they are all spotlessly clean and are great for all the family, we were close to the salt water pool which we used the most but others were equally as good. The place overall is spotless. Food is excellent, other reviews state the main dining room is like a zoo, couldnt be further from the truth - it is really well run by amazing attentive staff who do an excellent job to get so many guests through the restaurant in such a short period of time. Drinks - Beer is awful (sorry) really need to upgrade to Mythos or something nicer - really is a poor tasting lager, Spirits are mostly branded and are all of good quality if not, good selection of non-alcoholic drinks also. Overall the hotel is excellent and I will definitely be returning at some point in the near future. The staff are a credit to the hotel and the management should be very proud

Family of five (children 7, 4 and 1) staying in a family room for a weeks holiday. Accomodation- The room included and double bed which was very comfortable and two single sofa beds along the side of the room with a travel cot. The beds we all comfortable and although there was not a separation from kids we knew that and it was very comfortable. There was loads of storage for the five of us. Food- We ate once at the Asian al a carte which was amazing- particularly if you love seafood- there is also a children menu that serve burgers and chips etc which is not obviously advertised through the booking portal. The main restaurant buffet was very nice and varied enough for the week we were there. Breakfast is served at a few restaurants particularly good is the Greek where you can breakfast with amazing sea views. Lunch was good as well- Italian really good with children. Crepes/hotdogs and other snacks were good to perk up tired children at the waterpark. Entertainment- We did not partake in any daytime exercise based entertainment but it all looked well organised. The kids disco was a big hit with our 7 year old, and the light show that was on a couple of nights down by the sea was amazing. All the entertainment was bi or trilingual (English German and French) but it was clear what was going on. On the language front a few people have mentioned high numbers of Germans and Russians and low numbers of English people. Whilst this would not have been an issue we actually found around 25% were English, with a lot of European guests speaking English to staff so I am not sure why this has been raised as a concern by other reviews. The pools and water park are all brilliant, there is a bit of a rush to get good loungers around the pool- we dropped towels and stuff off on the way to breakfast. The water park is great- not really anything for under 2's but our 1 year old went to the slides with one of us and loved it. Overall it is a lovely hotel that is perfect for keeping children entertained and parents sane

We had a “family suite” which was a small room with smallish twin beds, lots of storage, a bathroom, a good sized double room and a balcony. It’s fairly standard, nothing special. The double is actually two twins side by side and the mattresses are very soft. A more family friendly option would have been a separate toilet and sink and then shower room. The shower was very powerful. Daily maid service was good and cleaning standards around the hotel were generally very high. We had an upstairs suite, so our clothes drying rack hung off the outside wall over the downstairs room balcony, which led to an interesting level of risk whenever you pegged anything out. Beach towels are provided but can only be changed every other day at specific times, which was rather disappointing and meant we rarely bothered, which I suppose is the aim. There is a good choice of pools and the beach as well as the water park. Unfortunately we were there at peak season so you had to steak out your spot first thing in the morning and it meant there was little flex in using the other facilities later. The water park is great and makes the hotel really stand out, and the lifeguards there are excellent. The food there is, is very good, but we were disappointed by the lack of choice in seafood - we had hoped for more octopus (appeared from time to time) and prawns (only available one night). Mussels were available only as a garnish. Breakfast choices were excellent - anything you might want and great freshly cooked options. The cretan tables at the back of the main buffet always has baklava and generally the pastry based desserts were excellent. The kids also enjoyed the fresh crepes available in the afternoon at the water park and main pool. The service at the crepe stands could be very slow, I queued for 40 minutes one day! We had dinner at the Asian restaurant and while the service was good, the food wasn’t - I’d give it a miss. Service at all the restaurants and throughout the hotel is excellent, a real jewel in the crown. The welcome we had when we arrived (about 11pm) was very warm and the information was comprehensive and really set the tone for the whole holiday in a good way. We were made to feel that nothing was too much trouble. It’s a short walk (5-10 minutes) into Panormos where the supermarkets are cheaper than the ones next to the hotel. It’s a pretty village and worth visiting We did the Tui excursion to Knossos (we didn’t travel with them but just booked through the rep) which was very good. Overall it was very good and we would come back
