This could be a nice hotel if it weren't for it being so dominated by Club Lookea, TUI France's "holiday animators". Loud music by the pool throughout the day, various activities that meant you briefly couldn't use one or both of the pools (the worst being a diving competition, at a pool with "no diving" signs everywhere. The final insult was the last day of our holiday - at midday we were told both pools were now closed for the rest of the day, so that they could prepare for Bastille Day (in greece!). We paid for an 8 day holiday with a pool and only got 7. If the hotel is going to allow Club Lookea to dictate the use of the hotel facilities for all guests, they shouldn't allow independent bookings.
We arrived at this hotel with a last minute booking, and were delighted with everything - the location, the room, the helpfulness of the staff and the general ambience of this charming, small seaside town. The room was spacious, the beds comfortable, the bathroom clean and well appointed and the breakfast plentiful. The pool area was clean and well-managed, and the grounds, with luxuriant bougainvillea, were a haven of peace and tranquillity. We walked into the village each evening and ate st the excellent taverna. We will return!
We enjoyed our stay here even our room outside the main hotel building was VERY cold when we arrived as it had not been used for several weeks. It was rather spartan. However the dining room was spacious and could cope with large number of guests. The food was good and the service helpful and cheerful. The hotel was a good base for the area.
We checked into the hotel about 7pm. It is a lovely modern hotel. However, the room we were assigned did not have a double bed, it was 2 single beds pushed together - but not fastened together, so there was a small gap between them. It was very cold in the room and we could not get the heating to work the first night we were there. The sliding doors leading to the balcony were the answer. There were 2 sets of doors. When we arrived we didn't see the glass doors - only the slatted outer doors. We eventually found the glass doors (hidden behind curtains) and closed them - they had a sensor that triggered the heating. So the next couple of nights were OK. The hotel had a lovely gift shop, bar/coffee bar and lounge area. A lovely pool - although it was winter and a bit too cold to use! Our package included breakfast and dinner. The restaurant was really good with beautiful views of the sea. The buffet was really good. Dinner had a great selection of breads, salads, mains & veg, and really good sweets! Breakfast was really good as well, lots of fresh fruit, bread, bacon, eggs, cereals. Amazing food. We went on this trip as part of a bus tour and it was well worth the money.…
This hotel is located in the small fishing village of Bali overlooking the Mediterranean sea and Crete mountain range. The views are best enjoyed from the pool deck and restaurant. The design of the hotel is something like a maze with many steps, bent corridors and levels - easy to get get lost. Room are functional and no frills. Food in the large volume restaurant average.
