Very approachable friendly host. Excellent location with stunning sea views. Apartment was superb & spotlessly clean. Everything thing in the apartment you could possibly need. Bed was very comfortable & great quality bedding & towels. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay & would definitely recommend staying here. Will definitely stay here again when in the area. A beautifully well thought out apartment with attention to detail.

We loved our week at villa vasillis. Our apartment had a huge terrace which we really enjoyed sitting on and watching the world go by the view is amazing all over the tiny port and out to sea. Clean spacious lovely comfy beds ! Great air con which we needed 35' heat !
Bali as a resort is fantastic five beaches all within walking distance all different and all charming ! Plenty of great restaurants our favourite was mambo beach bar great music sun beds drinks and food ! The whole package !
Bali is a quieter resort the have been to before but that suited us very well I believe rethymon is a lot busier and accessible on the bus 10/10 very nice also for young families sea is crystal clear and shallow X

My husband and I stayed in apartment 108, and we loved it! Huge balcony with amazing views, a large table and 4 chairs. The bed is comfortable, plenty of storage in bedroom to put everything away. We stayed 2 weeks. Very quiet, you are away from the harbour bars so fell to sleep listening to the Sea. The family were very helpful and friendly. The price of peace and quiet is that there are a lot of steps up to the apartment. My husband has difficulty walking and I have arthritis and we managed, with a few stops on the way up. You are minutes away from the harbour and also Evita beach, so perfect location.

My friend and I stayed at the Villa Vasilis from the 21st-24th July, and in all honesty, it was one of the best hotel rooms we have stopped in!

Room: We stayed in room 110, in what I can only assume is the best room of the hotel, being situated at the top and overlooking the harbour so the view was spectacular. We arrived late at night so when we opened the curtains the next morning we were blown away by the view (see photos). The balcony was huge with two sun loungers, a dining table with four chairs and then plenty of extra room to move about. The room itself was modern, spotlessly clean, practical and had everything we needed and more.

Location: The hotel is located in the harbour village of Bali, between Rethimo and Heraklion. Bali is a lovely quaint village with three small but pleasant beaches, calm waters, and plenty of restaurants. All the food we ate in the area was delicious! The area itself isn't too lively, but there were still enough people to not feel too secluded. We stayed here for 3 nights and then moved on to a busier Chania, however we wished we stayed for longer! The transfer to the hotel was 2 hours but totally worth it! The hotel itself is situated on top of a hill, and Bali is quite hilly also- necessary for the beautiful views! The nearest beaches are 5 minutes away by foot.

Owners: The hotel owners were such a delight. Their English was lacking but we didn't mind this and found it charming! Previous to arriving, all of our queries were answered quickly and clearly by George (their grandson?) in perfect English. They were a pleasure to be around, they weren't pushy and didn't interrupt us at all! They have their own silver jewellery shop also with some lovely pieces in.

To summarise, I can't recommend this hotel enough!

Thank you for making our holiday so special :)

My wife and I both stayed here for 10 nights. Great value for money and great location a perfect holiday. The owners where fantastic and we managed to get by without speaking English, although all the communication on email was English. For us a perfect holiday clean rooms with everything we needed. We already miss having a glass of wine on the balcony with the special views.
