This holiday has been perfect. Beautiful quiet villas each with their own small pool looking out on to the sea. George the manager was so helpful and accommodating. Breakfasts were excellent. All other staff helpful as well. Traditional tavernas within an easy 10 minute walk. The IL Porte in Old Kiotari a family run taverna were so friendly with excellent home cooked greek cuisine.

It's difficult to describe how spot on the Al Mare Villas are for a quiet peaceful break in the sun. The place is perfect with excellent food, perfectly clean and maintained rooms, a private pool serviced every morning and the loveliest private beach just one minutes stroll from the villa. The staff are lovely, friendly without being in any way intrusive and George is George, the kinda guy who's always there and yet never there at the same time. The only downside of Al Mare was having to go home and the way we felt sorry for other people who had to stay in the stuffy, noisy, all inclusive places 3 or 4 minutes away. The ideal idyll for someone who enjoys peace and quiet and never wants to do all the crowded holidaymaker stuff. We'll be back at the start of the season next year when everything's lovely, fresh, quiet and uncrowded again.

We’ve been here twice now, and it is absolutely lovely. Would heartily recommend. The location is ideal - it is a 10-15 minute walk from about 10 restaurants either way along the coast that all serve excellent food. Despite that, it is unsurrounded by other resorts which mean you have peace and quiet all day and night. (The flip side: if you are looking for a party capital, this is not it.) The resort also has step access to a small beach, with private sun loungers - there was always one free since there are so few rooms at the resort. It is only a 5 minute walk to larger beaches with proper sand and crystal clear seas. We survived without a car, staying local, but other guests had rental cars and there was always ample parking. The rooms are perfectly clean and incredibly spacious. The first time we stayed we had the apartment, which was very spacious. It had air conditioning, a very serviceable kitchenette and a lovely terrace. It was cleaned to a very high standard daily. The bathroom was functional and spacious (which is not a given in Greece!) The second time we had the traditional villa: this had all the same features but the extra space, the fancy sun loungers and the pool were an absolute delight. The highlight is definitely the breakfast which is included. The breakfast buffet is delicious and well stocked with sweet and savoury continental items. There is also an a la carte menu with excellent choice. It was always fresh, well cooked, and had enough variety we ate there every day. The staff (from the management, to the service, to the housekeeping) are all incredibly friendly, professional and eager to help. They remember your breakfast order, sort out taxis, and add beautiful touches like rose petals in your room. If you are after a lovely, relaxing holiday, I cannot recommend Al Mare strongly enough.

The best place You can ever imagine. Beautiful fully equipped sea view apartment. Clean, cosy tidy. Beautiful, very polite and professional crew. Great acces to the beach just a few meters away! We have arrived at the Al Mare 2:00AM in the night. George (the owner) welcomed us himself with big smile on his face and two cold beers which we dreamt of after such a long trip from Poland. He is the best host we have ever encountered and we couldn’t think of a better place for our wedding anniversary. Well maybe except taking next time villa with private pool, which looking at every day is making us extremely wishing to get one ;) Well definitely next time!

We spent a week there and we were very impressed. Large units, very clean, well equipped and the private pool, well, it's just great. The management is doing everything to make your stay pleasant. The restaurant has very good breakfast and lunch. The area is quiet yet a pleasant walk to several good restaurants. Definitely would recommend!

This place is amazing: calm and beautiful, with the sea view and the sound of waves that you can hear in the room or enjoy sitting on the terrace while staring at the stars and the moon; minimalist but tasteful decorations, comfort; attentive, helpful and smiling personnel; delicious breakfast with excellent greek coffee and magnificent views from the open terrace of the café; a beach just next to it to enjoy the morning swim in sparkling clear blue waters of the sea before exploring the beauty of the island - just perfect to relax and live an easy enjoyable life during vacations. I really didn't need a swimming pool and was happy that there are studios without it. It's a pity that there are no dinners at the place anymore and café closes at 3pm. A car is a must, of course. Thanks to the recommendations of the manager I could discover a popular tourist attraction town of Lindos avoiding crowds and was charmed by its roof top bars and the beauty of St. Paul's bay, which otherwise I probably wouldn't visit. He also recommended a few restaurants in the area and I loved the friendliness of Stefano's fish restaurant just 1 km away. Thank you, George, for helping me fall in love with Rhodes :)

We arrived in April, Easter time, when the season just began. First days were little chilly but it was getting warmer and warmer every day, there wasn't also many guests at that time. We got an Easter present on our room waiting for us :) We received a very warm welcome and surprises we didn't expect - we booked an apartment without pool as we didnt think it will be a good idea to swim at that time of a year as water was supposed to be still cold, and we got a room with pool in same price as a room without it and a voucher for breakfast for a week of our stay! The place is quiet and beautiful, perfect for relax and feels like home, has a well equipped kitchen where you can make your favourite food. Very close to the sea beach. Really felt like staying there forever! I recommend to come begginning of May when season fully starts and its perfectly warm, we came for a week in the end of April, it was slowly getting warm and not all of the tourists attractions were open yet (or were open very shortly), i.e. attractions in Rodos city. Wish to come again here!

A brilliant place to stay. Quiet, clean and with very attentive staff. Lovely villa with pool and right next to very quiet beach with great snorkelling. Breakfasts are amazing and it's just a short walk in either direction to shops and restaurants. Well worth a visit.
