We booked this hotel for our Anniversary, with it having a five star rating we thought it would at least meet our expectations, sadly it hasn’t, I say hasn’t as we are still here at the moment. We have experienced five star luxury hotels and expected the same from this. Ok it has its pros and cons. From the outside and reception area it is lovely, clean and pleasing to the eye, it looks the part, but unfortunately that’s were it ends. Rooms - we have room 4102, it has a side view of the pool, the room itself is average, we were very disappointed that it’s a twin room, we specifically asked for double and not twin beds!! After all we booked for our anniversary! A lot of reviews said that it’s ultra clean, we find it to be average, yes clean, but shouldn’t it be anyway! The fridge in your room is filled every other day, so one small bottle of water each to last two days, I think this needs to be reviewed, there is a shop on site so luckily we were able to buy some! We did ask for a pool room as an upgrade (which we were willing to pay for, but unfortunately the hotel is full, so we understand that it’s not always available). The air conditioning in the room is very poor, we did ask reception for a fan, but they said this is not possible. They do provide toiletries that are nice, clean towels each day if needed. Reception staff - professional, but not friendly or helpful. On the two occasions we needed help they could not provide it. Firstly no fans, ok but could have pointed us in the direction of how we could obtain one, but just shrugged her shoulder. Secondly and more important. My husband has limited mobility, we asked our holiday rep re mobility scooter, who informed us that reception would help, well again they just shrugged their shoulders, with the hotel being vast this is something that needs to addressed, we will try and source one ourselves, but the hotel is very remote so not hopeful. Food it mediocre, buffet style, plenty of choices but normally not very warm. Very busy feels stressful trying to navigate the crowds. There are all day snack bars and Coral bar by beach, these serve a small selection of buffet foods without the crowds, so we tend to do that for lunch. There are other restaurants which you can pay to go too. Drinks - you can have as much as you want, but you may not want too! Very weak, watered down and tasteless Staff - seem professional, not over friendly and just get on with their job, the odd person may offer you a smile Pool area - fantastic pool, busy but you will normally be able to get sunbed Entertainment- erm, this is hard as they try their best, the show we went to last night should have been about music from 60s, 70s, 80, 90s, it was but was like watching a comedy sketch, so yes we enjoyed it as it made us laugh, even though it wasn’t meant too. Also doing a male strip show in the middle of it a bit inappropriate as children were still there, think that’s when most people began to leave! Spa - is relaxing and seems an area that you do feel on holiday, the only criticism is repair the bits in pool that aren’t working. The hotel grounds are well cared for, it is a pretty place One evening we were woken up around 1am from people being very disruptive around pool area, no one from security or reception intervened so this went on for a few hours I always ask myself would I come back to a hotel, unfortunately the answer would be no. It has got the groundwork to be an outstanding place, I would say the majority of staff need to be friendlier, improve food and definitely drinks. Then it may rate better. We are just going to enjoy our last few days, I think in future I will source hotels that make customers their priority…
The best hotel where we stayed in Greece, so far. Everything was great, from room to food. We had a room with a private pool and we enjoy it. There was also a big pool in resort centre. The beach was large enough and well maintained. A special mention for the animation team which was amazing.
We stayed here for our honeymoon and loved every second. The resort is beautful, the staff are wonderful and the food is amazing. We had a room with a private pool, the room was stunning and the bed was so comfortable. The pool was also gorgeous. We loved Rhodes and would definitely return to this hotel.
Currently here, starting with the positives. The reception area is clean, the buffet in the main restaurant is of good quality and our room / family suite is modern and secluded with our own pool. The white wine is good always a plus when in Greece for us brits! The BBQ on the beach is nice but at an extra charge of 20 euros for adults and 10 for kids. I’ve stayed in many 5 star greek hotels and this doesn’t come close for these reasons: Your mini bar is replenished only every other day meaning once you’ve drunk your two waters you need to go the shop ( not all inclusive). Twice since we have been here we have had to clear and clean our own tables at lunch and go and get our own drinks and cutlery from the staff stations (wine and water). There is a distinct lack of any management presence which has been one thing that has been abundantly clear at other resorts. The other members of our party are staying in the ‘honeymoon suites’, on arrival there were no welcoming drinks at reception or in their room, the block is in a very busy area of the hotel with very little privacy and is of a much lower standard than our family suite, so disappointing. There is only one waitress at the pool bar at night and the cues are long for drinks when you go to the bar. When in Greece the one thing always stands out is the friendliness of the staff, with the exception of 2 or 3 most of the staff seem down beat and generally miserable, there is no warm smile and a general lack of customer focus. …
High expectations due to the online score of the hotel. We’ve stayed from mid ‘till end june 2022, 9 days. During the stay we had positive and negative experiences. PROS: - check in: easy and smooth. The staff at the reception was kind and friendly. - room: superior suite - large room and elegant with a big balcony. All the amenities were there (coffee, tea, towels, bathrobes, slippers,…) BUT REMEMBER THERE IS NO IRON!! - Localisation: nearby a busstop and a local market. Also a nice beachclub (MOSA) and a great restaurant (IL PONTO) in the neighborhood. - Agora Supermarket: A great shop with normal prices (some things are even cheaper in the shop than in the cities). The lady from the shop is amazing: helpfull, kind and friendly! - Fitness: Well-equipped and with airco. - Showerroom: Great idea for those who want to enjoy their last day and have a shower after the check-out. However there is no airco in those showerrooms…so beware of the warmth! - Toilets: a lot of them + clean - Beach: clean and very spacious. NEGATIVES: - Food: although there is plenty of food and the possibility to eat all day, the food is cold with no taste, and the buffet offers really a poor variation. The land has so much to offer, but still there is a choice to go with (mostly) mainstream choices as fries, cold pasta, and meat in sauce. Poorly or even no choice of seafood. People with allergies will not know what to eat because there is none information about the ingredients and often even no information about the dish itself. However there is plenty of vegetarian and vegan options, besides yoghurt (there is no plant yoghurt, but there is a choice of plant milk in the morning ). It’s also enormously loud inside and it looks like a cantine. Sitting outside is nice, but it’s very warm. Due to the poor variation of food, we went to a great and tasteful restaurant IL PONTO in the neighborhood. - cocktails: disgusting! Syrup and fake alcohol served in plastic cups (pool area). The Aperol or even the mojito are far from the realistic version. You can get a serious headache of that kind of fake drinks… It’s crazy that, if you want a great cocktail, you have to go to the city or a beachclub in the neighborhood… - Buffet: crowded, staff is FAR from a 5-star staff. It looks more like a workplace for disabled help. The coffee is only served in de morning, the machines for cappuccino are closed after that. So if you want a coffee with your desert at lunchtime or dinner, you have to drink it in the bar upstairs, without ofcourse the desert. - Theme restaurants: you can only go once depending of the duration of your stay. They are ok, but nothing special. In the moonlight restaurant you will get really nice and tasteful food, but….beside the water, you have to pay for all other drinks (yes, even for the wine or the softdrinks you will get all over the hotel for free). Mindblowing! - Hygiene: the room (and it floors) is not cleaned properly. The area around the pool looked like it’s being cleaned, but in the morning we already saw a lot of sticky stains next to the sunbeds. - Poolbar: plastic cups and selfservice. - Staff: Some staff at the hotel is really unfriendly and busy chatting with other staffmembers (the man at the bar in the all day restaurant at the pool). The little old lady in the buffet restaurant (some kind of chief I guess) is grumpy and far from helpful with the guests. As I said earlier, the most part of the staff, lack the knowledge of a 5-star service. *** The hotel is great for families, but in my opinion, not great for couples. If you want to enjoy a 5-star all-in hotel, look for an other option because this is worth max. 4 stars compared to our previous experiences.…
We have just spent a week at the resort as a family of 4. Pros: Very good family room, cannot fault the room, was large and had a divider between adults and children. Very clean and modern. Hotel itself is very clean modern Pool area very large and plenty of chairs and parasols Staff excellent, especially the animation team. They do a brilliant job and we thoroughly enjoyed the evening entertainment and the children loved the mini disco! The moonlight restaurant is nice and gives a welcome change from the buffet. Main restaurant buffet food is varied and plenty of choice. Great for kids as there is also a kids buffet table which is lower for them to help themselves. Cons: Al a carte restaurants (Italian and burger) both are outdoors and seem to be in a position that is favourable to wasps. You cannot enjoy a meal and even if I wasn’t with my children (who were jumping all over every time a wasp came near which was constantly) I wouldn’t have been able to sit and relax either. There wasn’t just one or two wasps there was loads. I wish they could do something about this and move the restaurants inside or something or have some kind of screening come down in the evening as I think having the option of a few nights away from the buffet would of made this holiday 5*. As it stands I have to give 4* because I got really bored with the buffet midway through. There isn’t much outside the hotel, Lindos is about 20 mins by taxi and costs €50 return so quite expensive if you want to eat out away from the hotel regularly. We did Lindos one evening and I would recommend it. It’s a lovely place with lots of authentic Greek restaurants. Over all this is a brilliant all inclusive and I would definitely return. Next time I think I would maybe hire a car so we have options for dinner outside the hotel. I think all inclusive where you are at the hotel for breakfast, lunch and dinner in a buffet style restaurant is maybe just not for me and therefore doesn’t reflect on the hotel as the buffet itself is fine, plenty of choice etc it’s just I wanted different culinary experiences which I couldn’t get in an all inclusive. The children loved it and for our first family holiday post covid it couldn’t have been better really, it was about spending time together which we did and the children experiencing going on an aeroplane and visiting a different country, trying different foods etc. they did all of that and more! They didn’t want to go home!…
At arrival to the resort, no greeting was made we had to struggle into the hotel with all bags, baby’s, baby pram Etc while the receptionists just watched us… I’ll start with our first night, we have a 7 month old baby. On the first night we needed to complain about the noise from next door both sides and above it felt like we had booked at a party resort due to the noise. 12pm noise finally stopped. Nothing was offered by reception apart from See if the noise improves after we have spoken to the other guests. Next I’ll move in to the room. We booked a Junior sweet with pool, on arrival to the room had left of toys in the pool, the bathroom needed modernisation, decoration, the shower was a bath with basic wall shower, the tiles all dirty. The door had a child safety lock hanging off, the pool has tiles missing falling off, not what I expected from the pictures when I booked. Food, we mainly used the buffet as this was easier, staff were average, coffee in mornings sometimes offered other times not. One very bad experience, the main section where you can ask for meat cut or omelettes etc. don’t ask the staff serving for anymore as all you will be greeted with is NO MORE… I could not believe how rude they were. Hotel resort, lacked any imagination in design or character. It’s very well marketed but don’t be fooled like we were on booking this. I would rate this hotel no more than a basic 3 star resort.…
Stayed here for a week with my partner and our baby after booking through American Express. It’s advertised very differently to what it actually was, it seems very exclusive and luxurious however it’s rather tacky, boring to look at with no character or gardens, basically loads of concrete buildings with concrete tunnels that feel like you’re in an underground carpark? rooms are average at best (and we had a junior suite, bathroom was no better than a travel lodge nothing special at all). staff were polite but not 5 star service, we asked them not to knock on our door at night for turn down as we had a sleeping baby but still got our door knocked on loudly every night by housekeeping at 9pm?! Really gutted as it’s made to look different online. I have noticed that reviews have gone down hill since we booked. I would definitely take notice of the bad reviews. This isn’t an exaggeration, just honest review. It’s not a luxury hotel - in my opinion! …
I am here for the 3rd time. I thought it will be great experience but as I can see pandemic has changed a lot. Generally the hotel is nice and quite new. Rooms are comfortable. Unfortunatelly not enough stuff at the meals. Waiter was setting up our table and then he forgot to bring glasses… Another thing the bartenders at the pool in the morning. They dont know the basics drinks… different aperols. You can get some ready mix or apropriate prossecco with rousalie… The young bartenders in the morning like to have tet a tet with young girls not looki g around the people in the que.. And the last thing strictly to the hotel. When we areived second time we received a gift as returning customer. This time we didnt even get „thank you”… so there wont be the fourth time in andriana and I was recommending it…. Not anymore. …
My daughter and I spent a week here and had a fabulous holiday. The hotel is spotless and the staff are just lovely in every department. Our room was beautiful and so clean. The pool area gets quite busy but we went to the private beach each day and swam in the sea, it was heaven. The beach is not the prettiest of beaches but the sea is beautiful. The boat trip that runs to Lindos from the hotel beach is a must. You get to swim in the most beautiful coloured water I have ever seen. Why haven’t I given it five stars, well the food did let it down a little. There was plenty of choice and it was all fresh but it was a bit repetitive and it was never really hot, it didn’t feel like a five star experience. The food in the Moonlight restaurant however was really good, likewise the Italian Restaurant. The drinks were ok, typical all inclusive drinks, never quite what you would get back home but then you would be paying a fortune to drink the amount most people drink on a weeks holiday. The lifts were very confusing. Some signs inside them saying what was on each floor would be useful. Would I go back, yes in a heartbeat, do I wish I was still there faced with work tomorrow, yes definitely.…
