We visited Rhodes in October and stayed at the beautiful Maria Resort and Spa. We stayed in room 4005 which is a swim up pool facing the sea. The room was fantastic, the pool connected to the room is amazing (heated), we didn’t really like the main pool as it was cold and the weather wasn’t exactly red hot at the time of year. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The food was very good but although we were all inclusive we did take taxis into Lindos to enjoy the restaurants and limited night life. The drinks are okay with branded spirits. The staff are very friendly and work hard. The staff at the pool bar however are one paced, so expect to be served quickly, to say they take their time is an understatement and they have very little conversation while your waiting. I queued every time I went to the bar. The benefit of being in a swim up room at the front of the hotel is if you want to you can literally walk 200 yards to the beach and sea which was very clean, with a great selection of water sports. The problem with that room is that if you aren’t very fit, there’s some stairs to tackle and a decent walk up to the restaurant, although I’m sure the hotel would send the concierge to collect you if you needed that help. We will definitely stay at this hotel again, it is adult only and ideal for young or older couples.

Like many people our holiday at Ikos Oceania was cancelled and we had to find a quick replacement. Tbh I was a little reticent as Ikos is wonderful what can I say we had a fabulous time so good I returned 2 weeks later with myy daughter. The staff are lovely and accommodating rooms beautiful very spacious and comfortable the sea view is relaxing. Food and drinks amazing and you can eat a la carte every night. A champagne bar!!! For heavens sake. We are returning next summer with all our adult children and their partners thank you Mayia we had a ball.

Nice people, very tasty food, very clean. The Bedroom with Swimup was very nice. The only small Minus: - The Cocktails were too sweet for our taste. - Too much boxes spent in the Take-Away (Streetfood)

Nice hotel. Rooms are good and spacious with fab views. Very clean and bedding and towels cleaned regularly. The bed was huge! Great TV, can play music through it into the bathroom, can also get ITV and BBC1 as well as 24 hour news channels. Mini bar refilled everyday. Contained 2 beers (local), 1 coke, 1 coke zero, 2 small bottles of wine, two still water, 1 sparkling, 2 fruit juice, 1 fizzy lemon. Once we got Haribo teddies and a few times a bag of crisps or nuts. White company toiletries in the bathroom. Balcony had a table and 2 chairs and a lounger. Nespresso machine and tea and coffee in rooms. 4 Nespresso capsules were left daily. The Greek restaurant is excellent. Good food in the evening, the BBQ octopus was amazing. The lunch was meze and was so good. The staff in this restaurant were so, so friendly and helpful, a special mention to Pavlos. They went above and beyond to make things right. The buffet restaurant is OK. The staff are lovely and the food is good, not excellent and not 5 star. Breakfast is pretty good, nice fruit, bread and juice selections. Omlettes are made to order and were very good. Evening meals were average buffet fare, sometimes not very warm and quality 2as mediocre. The Italian restaurant serves pizza at lunch that were very nice, evening meal was pretty good too. The Asian restaurant was amazing, the seafood curry was to die for. It's not easy to book into the restaurants though, you have to go to reception to book, our favourite hotel does all the booking via What's App and it's so much better. We could only book 4 out of 7 nights. The champagne bar serves unlimited Moet and Chandon. The main bar is very nice with beautiful views and nice seating. Great cocktails, cocktail of the day didn't change for the whole week though! The pool bar is nice to sit it, but service around the pool was pretty non existent. The pools are beautiful to look at, but are so cold! I mean really uncomfortably cold and this was the end of the October when it had all summer to warm up. The beach is OK, it's rocky and slippy. There is a tiny beach bar and the guy that works there is lovely, but it's just a very small trailer, it's not a proper bar. All in all the hotel is good and we would visit again if the price was reasonable. It wouldn't be our first choice though. There aren't enough public toilets, if you're in a restaurant you have to leave the restaurant and go either up or down stairs to use the loo. And there are no toilets on the pool level or at the gym, which just seems ridiculous. To me it falls short of 5 star compared to other places that we've visited. Drinks service around the pool was poor, food was good, not really extraordinary, service was pretty good, some members of the staff were outstanding, others were pretty ambivalent. Beds around the pool we're just Ok, no double beds or pads on the loungers. Pool towels were limited to one per person and had to be picked up from the spa. There were only 2 lagers available and both were local, anything else carried a supplement. Hendricks gin was an extra €11 per shot!! To sum up, we would visit again at a much lower price to what we ended up paying

Before reviewing the hotel, I would like to mention the staff. In what are unique and difficult times for all, their attitude was excellent across the board and they could not do more to help. In fact at times in the buffet restaurants they were so keen to serve that it did not allow you the chance to browse what was on offer. So a well done to everyone. The food was of a good quality but not outstanding and the Asian was our favourite by far. The room was great and well maintained., with a massive and very comfortable bed. The public areas of the hotel were spotless and whilst we were encouraged to use our own bathrooms due to COVID, every time we used a public toilet, they were always super clean. The great thing about this hotel is it’s size and ability to have pretty much everything outside, thus making you feel very COVID safe. We would literally only be inside to sleep and shower as well as when using the gym but of course that is optional. The entertainment was fine and held outside, and it was great to see people able to dance and enjoy themselves again. The bars were a bit odd as you could get well known brands in some but, you had to pay for the same in others, for instance by the pool. So drink in the bars outside reception if you want branded spirits and better cocktails, The hotel is, modern, large and the pools are great but, freezing at this time of year. All in all I found the hotel good value for money, and I would recommend it. It was just great to get away from the COVID nightmare and enjoy the sun.
