When we arrived which was about three hours from the airport we were shocked as we had expected a five star hotel when in fact it was just a con to get you into believing your staying in a five star when all the difference is there are two main buffet restaurants. And the food was Cold disgusting the manager in the restaurant was rude to people including us it was just a very poorly run hotel in the middle of nowhere. You had to pay for top brand spirits which if you are paying for five star all inclusive you should not have to pay for this it was just appalling. Don't waste your money here. We had to go out the complex and eat out which meant getting the bus to the next town which was amazing and a sense of freedom and lovely hot beautiful food and friendly people oh how we looked forward to getting out of that dump . And they run out of vodka every single night because everyone we spoke to complained about the spirits. The room was small dirty and smelt musky like damp. Good ridden.

This may potentially be the longest review I ever write, but after my experience there I need to put the record straight about this place. So many reviews are Completely misrepresentative and it would be wrong to not talk about my experience. Myself and my partner stayed here for a week in late September and had a Really Lovely Stay. Having read some of the other reviews here, I am going to be completely honest. My partner and myself, quite frankly, were embarrassed by some of the attitudes displayed by visitors at this hotel - I should note that it was only the English people who were a problem, as the friends we made - German, Russian etc. were all very satisfied. This Hotel is advertised as five stars in many places, however, it should be noted that this is five stars for the residents of Rhodes, and not the English standard of five stars. This should really be obvious, seeing as the economic state of Greece is well known. Furthermore, everyone we spoke to had paid a similar (and very low) price for the holiday - all of which were all inclusive for a week. Sadly, many English visitors felt let down and entitled to an English five star standard, despite the incredible price. The staff were attentive and accommodating throughout the stay and remained professional and patient with the rudest of visitors. I would suggest that many parts of the stay were to a very high English standard to - the masseuse was excellent and the spa was spotless, ambient and calming. The food was excellent - but be aware that, as in Greece, they serve greek food (duh!). The amount of (again English) who kicked off everyday because of the 'awful food' genuinely baffled me. If you want English food why go to Greece? There was a huge range of delicious fresh fruit and salad, various extremely tasty greek mains, and a vast selection of amazing desserts (the cinnamon baclava is still one of the nicest desserts I've ever eaten). The accommodation was simple and clean (daily cleaner) and very spacious, with all the bare necessities, and a lovely balcony. The location was quite remote if you're on foot - quite far to walk to the nearest village and bar in the heat, but had great bus links. We visited Lindos which is an absolute must if you go to Rhodes - a 'white city' with a castle and spotless sandy beaches. The beach at the resort was pebbled but lovely all the same. Another must is the beautiful Old Town, also easily accessible from a bus just outside the hotel. The entertainment was exactly that - whilst not usually my sort of thing, the evening events were a good laugh, and the Beach Party was an Incredible night - the food, cocktails, fire show, music and bonfire did not disappoint. My partner and I both played tennis a few times (best before 7am to avoid the sun and the heat) and whilst the court was decent, the tennis racquets had lost their grip tape. Overall it was an excellent holiday that was great value and didn't break the bank. Ironically the only thing that tainted it was the behaviours of other guests. Ignorant English expecting a home away from home would really have been better off in Benidorm.

Waited a long time to go to Rhodes, but sorry to say wont be back. Rhodes old town and the new town are very nice, and there is also the odd nice sandy beach in some coves, if you can find them. We had two weeks of glorious sunshine, and the Miraluna complex was nice, with lovely swimming pools, but the food was a disaster and because the complex is remote to any nearby pubs and restaurants, it was a restriction on having a choice. Our flight landed just before 9pm on time, but the coach waited for other flights to come in, and that resulted in us not arriving at the complex till 12.45am. Far too long a journey, and unfortunately when you decide to go and visit Rhodes old & new town, the local bus will take approximately 2hrs, so you can see the distance from the airport is quite considerable anyway. The island is very barren, and most of the beaches are pebble, sorry to say I personally do not have much to say which would compliment this holiday. Having been to so many lovely resorts and had lovely food, this was a big let down. This is not a Hotel and should not be classed as one. It is a complex and is more suited for families with children.

I'll make this brief. This is possibly the worst hotel I've ever visited. If you look at my other reviews you can see I am honest and fair but mostly very positive, I've never given less than 4 stars - I'm on holiday so I'm always some variation of happy! But not this time. The negative reviews you are seeing are all true. Main points listed below: - rooms were dirty, bugs everywhere, bedding never got changed, floors were disgusting. Cleaner didn't even bother to wipe down the surfaces. - food was actually slop and totally inedible! The snack bar on block 6 was the only place where you could get food that wasn't a food poisoning risk! Spent a fortune eating out. - staff were so rude and unhelpful. I get by this point of the season they are probably sick to death of hearing complaints but they didn't even try to be empathetic or helpful. We were willing to pay for an upgrade so we were speaking in friendly and reasonable tones but the front desk girls were totally dismissive. Our own jet2 resort rep couldn't care less either. - extras. Seriously, this is not all inclusive! You pay for the beach bar and the main bar where the entertainment was, sunbeds on the beach cost extra. WiFi cost extra. Bottled water cost extra. The pool area was ok but a lot of broken sunbeds and the pool was dirty! The only good thing was the sun shone every day and antonius in the beach bar was pleasant and totally understanding of everyone's woes. In short, unless you get this holiday for next to nothing, don't go. In fact, just don't go near it! Also - there appears to be two listings for this hotel on trip advisor (2 for miraluna village and spa and also one for miraluna kiotari) so I intend to put this review on each of those listings because I think the hotel is trying hide from its failings.

Visited Miraluna village from 17th to 28th September. On arrival after a 2 hour journey from airport which made it 12.30 at night, we found cockroaches in our room. We immediately went to reception and requested a different room but the guy told us there were none. My husband refused to move till the guy rang his manager but when he returned he said there were still no rooms. As my husband became increasingly angry the security guard who was standing nearby suggested someone could fumigate the room, we were told to wait in the bar area and they would inform us when this had been done then to leave it at least an hour before we went back. When we finally got to the room it was 2.15 am and we were exhausted , but I couldn't sleep as I imagined noises all night and was concerned the cockroaches had returned.. The whole hotel complex is run down, fences broken, sunbeds broken tiles cracked toilets filthy in all public areas. Our room, which was supposed to be an upgraded one was shabby with flooring missing architrave falling off, dirty lampshades etc cracked sink basin shower fitting kept falling off. Food in restaurants was repetitive, always cold and flies and wasps were seen landing on food regularly as nothing was covered and there was no appliance to keep them at bay. Every time you passed reception there was a queue of people complaining shouting and swearing, everyone you spoke to was unhappy angry and dissatisfied. They gave everyone who complained upgraded status to V I P wristbands which supposedly gave you a few more priorities, ie.. Free beach towels tea and coffee facilities in your room and access to the al le carte restaurant, our V I P wristband gave us nothing as we realised that practically every person you saw had one on anyway !!! This is by far the worst hotel we have ever stayed in if I could have got a flight home any earlier I'd have done so,, It is badly managed, very run down and dirty it spoilt our holiday and was a complex and utter waste of money,. I only hope no one has to endure the horror s we had To!!!!!!

How to start maybe in points first. 1) No porters on arrival at 2.30am after a 2 hour bus ride stopping at 12 other hotels . Given keys told to go find our room. Eventually found after 40 minutes of walking here there and everywhere. 2) fridge empty no water until what was classed as restaurant opened at 07.30. 3) Air con blowing warm air. Excrement on inside of bed cover that was on the 2 single beds pushed together as double bed.... Gross. 4) Picture of cover with excrement taken and stood in queue to show staff. One member just laughed at me with another staff member then proceeded to talk over me to the lady behind. I asked to speak to the manager only to be told he wasn't there. She didn't know when he would be there and refused to make me an appointment with him. 5) Decided to go eat and drink. OMG sprouts , runner beans , cold rice pudding what more can I say. This was breakfast. 6) Back to reception to ask to speak to manager once again with another refusal. So I got the number of the meeting point rep and called her . She said she would come at 7 pm that night . Wonder of wonders she never turned up and when I called her at least 7 times from 1905hrs onwards her telephone remained switched of. 8) Decided to try enjoy our holiday so went for a walk . Broken sunbeds with no cushions, no available towels to use on said broken sunbeds, missing tiles . Dirty smelly toilets with no soap or paper towels to wash hands with. Watered down drinks at the pool bar with a grumpy bar man ( who could blame him working alone) 9) Tried lunch not much better than breakfast deep fried potato slices, salads with an array of weird ingredients , soup that looked like dishwater, raw slimy fish meatballs ( these were ok) very repetitive food throughout the whole 2 week stay. 10) Letter under room door for room change hahaha. Moved to what was meant to be a vip room . Shower hooked over Taps as no where to hang it, often causing the bathroom to flood . Broken fridge ( no one could fix it so we were left with it) . Faulty air conditioning . Cleaners did minimal when they came to clean room apart from emptying bin and taking towels. They never had towels to replace the ones taken so you had to practically beg at reception for clean towels. Cockroaches in bathroom and found also in pool. Definitely not 5*. No use complaining as they just laugh at you anyway. 11) One couple who complained were removed from hotel by general manager . 12) A group of 2 couples we met were complaining after being put in a family room bur they had booked 2 separate rooms. They tried to explain the problem to the general manager who proceeded to scream and shout at them in the reception area. I have this on video. 13) 5* customers are not allowed to eat in 4* restaurant even though the food is slightly better though still very repetitive. Although sold as all inclusive many hidden extras . Sunbeds on beach to be paid for, beach bar which is only decent place about this Fawlty Towers type of hotel. All drinks and food to be paid for . Staff here very nice and friendly we spent most of time when in complex here or we went out to eat . 14) Pizza place was good but only one poor woman making them so long queues. Also little place next making wraps was good very tasty much better than food in restaurants. Staff in 4*restaurant very pleasant and helpful ( we were allowed in this on as we had been changed to vip) On the whole this is the worst place I have ever been on holiday. I do not understand how holiday companies can sell this place as 5*. They are selling a low rate holiday for high rate prices. Very very disappointed and upset that we booked this place . Please if you want to enjoy your holiday DO NOT waste your hard earned money on this place . Even local taxi drivers laugh when you say your going back to this hotel and say 2* hotel not 5*

Please do not book this hotel !!! Unless you are wanting a holiday from hell experience. It was a last minute booking so I did not review it fully big mistake !!! Myself and my partner booked for a 7 night ......... 5* all inclusive hotel and spa. We arrived around 5am on 1/8/16 Under the darkness of night the hotel look very nice. There was only one staff member on reception so after booking in and getting our room key we were told to sit and wait until everyone else had been booked in after a 2 hour transfer we were all very tried and thirsty no one was offered any refreshments on arrival. After another half hour or more wait we were taken to our rooms one at a time because there was no one else to show us where to go. On entering the 5*..... Room what a shock we got it was more like 1* accommodation we located the fridge to find it empty. My partner had to go back to reception to ask for water we were so dehydrated and tired we just got into bed only to be woken up by what we thought was the sound of a Diesel engine !!!! No such luck it was the air conditioning unit after a few hours sleep we were looking forward to a dip in our private pool only to find we had to shear it with a family in the next room and it was covered in green slime !!! Another trip up to reception to report it. It took another day before anyone came to clean it "well attempt to clean it" it was given a quick wipe around the edges all the filters were full of black and green mould ... Let's go to breakfast I said another mistake ! After waiting to be shown to a table we were told OH you can't eat in here your 5* and this is the 4* restaurant another trip through reception to find the 5* restaurant what was on offer would not of been served to prisoners doing life. Vegetables, uncooked fried eggs, cold kidney beans, steal bread, fruit and yogurt that the flies were feeding off, no standard fly zappers fitted anywhere in the restaurant. It gets better big qu.. Waiting for hot water to make tea and coffee also no proper table settings you had to go looking for teaspoons, salt & pepper and what can I say about the fruit juice !!!! Warm coloured water. We decided to give lunch a miss so we went to the on site shop. 6 litres of water,2 cans of ice tea, 2 cans of lemonade, 2 cans of Fanta 4 cans of local beer 4 cans of Hen..... 35 euros just as well I had crisps and biscuits from home. We complained along with others about the room, air con, food, service and pools hoping things would change. We are not hard to please or fussy eaters so decided to give the restaurant another go that night and thought we would just have to put up with the substandard room and pool after all the guy did try his best to clean it, and we could always use the complex pools or beach. With all that had been going on we did not fully examine the room when we came back from beach which you had to pay for sun beds, drinks, snacks and towels we found one unkept towel 2 mini soaps one glass, black mould on Windows, shower curtain broken toilet that made as much nose as the air conditioning damp peeling paint and a rotten door. Filthy dirty lamp shades. "Clean sheets and pillow case" However the mattress pillows and throw were stained and smelt of old sweat. Adjoining room had no air conditioning , pullout sofa, camp bed and dated TV I could not imagine How a family of 4 could put there children or other adults in this extra sleeping area. Shower and time to get dressed up for Dinner !!!!!! we rang reception for an extra towel it never arrived so we had to share and use our clean clothing to dry ourselves off. We had to wait in a queue for half an hour just to get a dirty table with no proper table settings again. The food was shocking but managed to pick some we could eat dried pork beef stew and cold veg......we gave the fried sliced potatoes a miss as they were floating in fat and tried to enjoy what we had I will not comment on the watered down drinks just read the other bad reviews they are all 100% truthful we drank at the beach bar where you paid for branded drinks. DAY TWO: We just had to make a joke of it by saying what would the big bad wolf have to offer today we skipped breakfast. We had heard the pizza was good from the outdoor stand by the kids pool .However you had to wait for up to an hour or more in the heat with no cover but everyone said it was worth it and it was the hottest tastiest pizza you could get served by the nicest woman you could meet. However it just closed whenever they wanted to it never ran to its opening hours. We thought if they could serve this standard of pizza why on earth could they not put it in the restaurant even for the children as there was never anything for them to eat apart from steal bread and an odd cake. We returned to room for a shower before dinner "We had towels even though they were past they sale by date" at least we had one each Another wait for a clean table there was plenty of empty tables with discarded food on them the restaurant was under staffed with very untidy staff no one had the same uniform on or know what they were doing the front of house would just disappear when the queue got longer or they would start shouting at the very young inexperienced staff. We were eventually giving a table out side next to the so called A la carte it was a joke there was a few plants that separated the two eating areas. I got up to get water "NO GLASSES" we felt like walking out but we were so hungry and know if we did it would be a long wait at the bus stop to the next village as there was nowhere within walking distance to eat out so off we went to see what was on offer you could not even distinguish what was being served they had a sign above one dish which said beef and it was chopped up frankfurters swimming in grease another one saying meat stew which was the night before left over food all mixed together and the daily sliced fried potatoes floating in grease, a stinking fish dish, cold rice and another with over cooked dry pasta. How I now wish that we had walk out !!!! But no we thought give it a go it might taste better then it looks my partner choose frankfurters I choose meat stew we both waited for fresh fried sliced potatoes to be brought out and went back to our seats to tuck into it by this we thought we were going to pass out with hunger my partner said his was eatable. I took a couple of mouthfuls of the freezing cold sour stew I should of spate it out but I did not want to make a scene in front of others we just got up and left. Having owned a restaurant and outside catering company in the past with my sister for over ten years. I know this restaurant would have major issues on there hands if it was not sorted I went straight down to reception and asked if I could speak to the manager only to be told he was not there so I waited until the customer after me was finished before I explained my issues as I did not want to alarm anyone by ranting and Raving about the risks of food poisoning or even worse events that could affect customers health. I was rudely told it would be passed on to the food and beverage manager. We said that's it no more for us we would see the rep the next day and ask to be moved. We went off to the beach bar to pay for our drinks instead of waiting at the mile long queue at the pool bar that only had one barman serving watered down drinks in tiny cheap cups you would not give to a child as they split as soon as you held them. So off we went to the beach bar to pay for our drinks and listen to the sea and watch the sun set This was the only thing at this hotel that was guaranteed you got without having to pay for it Within 2 hours I felt unwell and had to go back to our room then the sickness and diarrhoea started and went on all night My partner went up to report it to reception and try and find our rep from Meeting Point Youtravel Tourism LLC only to find she did not speak good English. She understood and called the English speaking rep however she did not answer but reassured my partner that as soon as the seen the missed call she would ring her back and she would tell her to come straight away to see us or she would call our room. I could not move out of the room but know the best thing I could do was stay in bed and drink plenty of water. My partner went off to the next village to get something to settle my stomach. I thought it would pass after 24 hours how wrong was I by the next morning I was screaming in pain I had had food poisoning in the past but nothing like this it should of cleared by now with the tablets and fluids it got so bad my partner had to run to reception and asked them to call a doctor I had to wait hours before he arrived I was put straight on a drip and given some sort of injection, antibiotics and other medications The doctor diagnosed acute gastroenteritis and asked my partner to go with him up to reception. He said the doctor was shouting at them in Greek he explained to him that he had told them they had serious health & safety issues in their restaurant I was in bed for 4 days until I felt well enough for us to check out before we should our holiday was due to end The hotel management or the representative did not once get in touch with us to ask if they could do anything or ask how I was the only person that showed any care was our lovely cleaner. My partner was still refused access to the the 4* restaurant when he tried to go in for some bananas and plain biscuits which the doctor had told him was the only safe thing for me to eat. He had to go out for food for himself If only this hotel had taken notice of all the complaints they were reserving and done something about it. I would not be writing this review because to be fair the grounds and pool areas were lovely. They also had lots of hard working staff that must off been so feed up with all the complaints. Everyone my partner spoke too were having to eat out or were trying to move somewhere else. The positive 2016 remarks on here are very surreptitious. As their sentences do not use correct basic English grammar. When we arrived at the airport we meet up with another couple who were also staying at the hotel when we were there, they also had to eat out every night due to substandard food and drink. They booked out due to all their cash getting stolen from their safe when they complained and asked for the police to be called they were threatened to be put out by the management. We are very easy going people and would never complain unnecessary about trivial things beyond a hotels control. However these were very serious issues which were solely down to bad management. This hotel should be closed down until they can offer guest a true 5* stay or make it ungraded. Please don't waste your hard earned cash on this SUBSTANDARD ROBBING HEALTH RISK HOTEL

Went with my husband and two girls, It was a good stay, and the hotel staff especially were helpful. Emily from the restaurant, and Antonius from the snack bar. To all the people also in the spa, thank you. The only problem would be the air conditioning in the rooms which didn't work very well. But it was a wonderful experience which we all enjoyed.

We stayed in this hotel for one week arriving on 17th May. I had booked for my daughter, granddaughter (who is 20). We had booked for Sunrise hotel, but the day before we were about to leave our travel agent rang us saying they couldn't get us in, because it was full, but we had booked 2 months earlier and when we went past to Lindos there were people staying there, so I don't know what that was about!! They said they could get us in Maraluna, what choice did we have, but to accept! The hotel was beautiful and all the staff were so friendly, the down side was it was a bit too far out with nothing for my granddaughter to do only to keep paying out for taxis and buses to get us to any kind of shops, tavernas and little hard. The food was cold, not much choice for the English guests, unless you want sprouts for breakfast!! My granddaughter is vegetarian and quite honestly I don't know how she managed to find anything to eat especially at breakfast. The snack bar was terrible, sometimes no food at all and when we did ask for cheese rolls without ham they told us just to take meat out! The pizza lady was wonderful, working all day and pizzas were delicious. Hotel spotless, clean towels everyday and best part of holiday is that we got an upgrade to room with jacuzzi pool, smiles all round. We found the Greek people so very friendly, nothing too much trouble for them

This hotel wants shutting down an revamping,it's filthy, rooms not cleaned, dining areas chairs covered in food, food was a big let down,no variety, meat full of gristle, everything was bland an tasted the same, always running out of bread an had no intention of replacing it,staff very rude, uniforms could do with a good ironing, hairnets should be warn when around food instead of standing there playing with it.pools dirty full of debris, very slippy. All inclusive is a joke!!! Can't use the only descent bar they had in there unless u paid, can't use sun beds by beach unless u upgraded I will never return here, staff an management need to spend time at the mitsis rodos village an learn a good few tips from them!!!
