Stayed here 16th September 2013 for one week. Rather out of the way location 20 minute walk to nearest town. We hired a car for one day and used the local buses which were good and came on time. Quite a few pools which were clean and enough sun beds. Food was good as well as the usual all inclusive package there was always a traditional Greek dish and as the evenings became darker they put candles on the outside balcony tables. Our room was not 5 star but comfortable with air con. Some of the staff were really nice others not so helpful. Weather perfect. On the whole a happy relaxing holiday but not 5 star.

We stayed for 7 nights this July/August. We'd booked this hotel, as we wanted a seperate room for our 12 year old, and payed more opting for a "family room" with a seperate bedroom.,
On arrival we were given 1 room, having twin beds and a camp bed. When we showed our booking form to reception. The junior staff were very helpful, only to be over-ruled by a Senior Receptionist, who tried to tell us that as our party was only 3 we could not have a family room. When we argued the point, that regardless of the party size we wanted what we'd paid for, we were fobbed off--told to go back later, then told to go back the following A.M.
We were then moved, and told as a good will gesture we'd have tea/coffee making facilities in the room. (However, this never happened, and we gave up asking on day 4)
In the family room, you do get what it says, 2 rooms, however as there's no air-con in the 2nd room, and nights were stifling- the room was impossible to sleep in....(so we all ended up sleeping in 1 room anyway!!!)
But apart from that this is a lovely village. Lots of choices of pools, and we never struggled to get a bed (but we did chose one of the quieter pools).
Animation team excellent....(and normally we've sat and cringed in other hotels)
Food good, and with the extra option of eating at the Taverna's,(which we did most lunch times.)
However the beach bar is NOT All Inclusive..only for guests of one of the Italian tour operators. There is a Tavern though just before the beach that you can take a drink down from. The beach is shingle. The water was crystal clear and great for seeing fish in. We went in the afternoon, and I sat on the beds, and never asked to pay, but apparantly other guests were charged.
Drinks fine, but watch out as some of the plastic beakers they serve them in have quite sharp edges, and can cut your lips.
You can use the gym, and spa treatments extra, a little expensive, but they always are in hotel spa's.
We hired a car from the airport, as it's a good hours drive down, and the roads were fine...you just have to watch out for the "crazy" over taking!!!
The Water park is worth visiting. As is Lindos and the Castle
Maybe not a UK 5*, but overall 3/4, with the main complaints being the family rooms lack of air-con

Rooms are spacious and cleaned daily. The pools are cleaned daily, but not correctly (sides need green algae scrubbing off). Some missing tiles off the pool sides, beautiful to swim in and look at though. There are no mattresses for sun loungers and the chairs around the bars to sit on, which would make the experience much more pleasurable. The food is varied and edible, a bit bland and certainly no where near five star standard, but we managed to find food we liked for each meal none the less. The resort on the whole I would consider three star plus and no more. We enjoyed our stay for the first three days, lovely and peaceful, until we had an invasion ( over 300 estimate) family's from a country where the ladies dress clad in black from head to foot and the whole family shouts a lot. Their children were feral running in packs of 20, no exaggeration, around the pools whilst the parent, grandparents, aunts etc set up "camps" around the pools en mass! Their dining habits were disgusting, piling food up in the middle of the tables and leaving it all, ladies toilets in the public areas became mountains of used toilet paper left at the sides of disposal bins (disgusting!) their kids would put food on plates and pick it off and throw it back in the serving trays. We moved rooms after having three families at the sides of us running amok on the balconies and corridors. Everyone was complaining and moving to quieter rooms. These people were rude, arrogant, ignorant and total pigs! They should never have been allowed to a hotel of this standard with civilised people. I think the hotel has shot itself in the foot as many who have been before said they would never return again in case these types were there again, us included! I really don't know what to say about this one other than in all my travels this one has left me with very mixed feelings and I really do not feel I could recommend this for a peaceful holiday.

At first when we finally arrived at 2 am gentleman working at the reception was loud and smelled of alcohol. After I complain that Air Conditioning doesn't work I get as an answer that this is not his hotel and he can not do anything with this. Also what surprised me much he informed me that if I don’t like something I can get out or paid for upgrade. I never been treated like that in any hotel.

The main gate to the “Aquis Miraluna Village and Spa” was open all day and night so anyone could enter to the resort. No security at all.

Cockroaches in bathroom and all around must be a standard thing. We been told that rooms are cleaned every day. Rooms were cleaned only twice during our holiday. And also I had to bother myself to the reception desk to beg for a toilet paper three times which I received kindly after 4 hours.

Dining room - I never seen such a bad food in my life. This what wasn’t consumed been served on another meal with new dressing or mixed with pasta or salad, just reheated. So we had to go out to eat something which is great disappointment especially if you paid for food all ready. Food was disgusting.

The restaurant on the 5* bit has good views and food was OK. This hotel was booked on a very tight budget. For the money £2000 for 14 nights in August for a family 2 adults and children aged 13, 11 and 7 it was a good choice. Some negative reviews read before going. Not all true to my experience. Its not a £1000 a night so....The two parts of the hotel are Mirulana Village and Spa (*****) and the Mirulana Seaside(or Kiotari Seaside) (****). All use plastic cups for the drinks, share the beach. The 5* Miraluna has better food and a nicer restaurant with real glasses. There are lots of pools and they appear to be shared by both complexes. The beach and all entertainment is shared. £2000/5/14= £28.58 per person per night. At that price we had food from early morning until late at night. Ice creams and soft (BUT VERY SUGARY) drinks for the kids. Childrens clubs are there you join in with any club except the Russian one as they dont have English speaking reps. Teenagers have a sports rep who kept them running about and swimming. I thought the 5 aside in 35 degree heat was funny, teenage beetroot heads!! Followed by a pool game or two. Entertianment was basic shows like a Butlins holiday camp but great to be in the ampitheathre late at night drink in hand watching hidie hi, then off to the children's park and bar for a while. Beach parties were a laugh as well. Not a good resort if you want clubbing, not a good resort for older teenagers. There are movies outside as well, but we didn't bother. Beach was a bit pebbly but a lovely sandy bay was only 5 minutes walk away. Hotel next door has a waterpark. This can be used on a day pass and includes food and drink. Not as big as the main one on the island but only next door. In summary it did not feel like a top 5 star hotel, as a budget option it is ok. All was clean, lots of fun, no tummy troubles, plenty of food but got repetitave after first week, The main dining room in the 4* part that's a cattle market at meal times, plenty of food and you can come in from the pool. Be warned its about 2 hour coach transfer!! Its also remote from towns or villages. On the other hand you visit Lindos by bus or boat with no long coach trip.

This is the third time we have visited this resort. The staff are all friendly alway have a smile to greet you with and are all hardworking and nothing is too much trouble, agreed that the Greek 5* may not be English 5* but the rooms are clean, spacious and well furnished. There are numerous swimming pools to choose from and there is not the usual scrum each morning to acquire a sun bed. The food was excellent both the Restaurant and Taverna Presented a tasty selection even the most picky eater should not be disappointed. Vanessa the customer relation manager was alway on hand to help alway with a smile to greet you, The staff in Taverna kept every one supplied with drinks and always on hand to teach you the odd word in Greek unfortunately I was not the best pupil but did keep trying! If you want a relaxing holiday this is an ideal spot the public buses are frequent and reliable. Alternatively there is car hire. Looking forward to meeting old friends next year

I was in complete shock when I arrived. It was nothing compared to was advertised by Teletext or on the Miraluna website.

The room which they tried to allocate to me was filthy and I shocked beyond belief. I refused to accept the room and demand another room I wanted a room as described in the advert which influenced my decision to book into this hotel. I was offered another room which was in a worse condition. I was so furious that I said I would consider legal action.

I was then given a room in the Miraluna complex and the room was one of those shown in the hotel gallery, although missing a few items it was better than the previous rooms.

What is not made clear is you have two sections to the complex The Miraluna this section is maintained slightly better than the Kiatoria Resort which is on the same site and totally run down. It was filthy with bird droppings food stains on the walls and God knows what else.

It is such a shame that more effort and essential maintenance are not in place other wise this could really be a good resort. No way a 5 or 4* would just about make a 2*.

Holiday companies selling these holidays under false advertising could be miss selling and miss leading customers. I will be taking this up with the tour operator.

This experience is such a shame as I enjoy coming and spending time on the Greek Islands and have enjoyed staying at other hotels across the Islands.

If you book make sure it's the Miraluna you are being booked into.

We did not book to stay in this hotel and thank goodness we didn't.
We were shipped off here when the Mitsis Rodas Village Hotel had overbooked their rooms.
Food is terrible, drinks are worse and swimming pool water smells funny and layout is very strange.
The beds were thin mattresses and pancake pillows, very uncomfortable.
Unless there are offering for you to stay here for free DO NOT PAY TO STAY HERE.
PS: You have to pay for mineral water

Having checked in here for 3 days to be with my son, having previously been staying up the road at mitsis rodos village for ten nights, what a dreadful mistake!!! This hotel wants shutting down an revamping,it's filthy, rooms not cleaned, dining areas chairs covered in food, food was a big let down,no variety, meat full of gristle, everything was bland an tasted the same, always running out of bread an had no intention of replacing it,staff very rude, uniforms could do with a good ironing, hairnets should be warn when around food instead of standing there playing with it.pools dirty full of debris, very slippy. All inclusive is a joke!!! Can't use the only descent bar they had in there unless u paid, can't use sun beds by beach unless u upgraded I will never return here, staff an management need to spend time at the mitsis rodos village an learn a good few tips from them!!!

I've just returned from a week in Rhodes and the holiday was incredible. It was my first time away with my boyfriend. We got a cheap deal and didnt expect much but it really exceeded my expectations. We had silly flight times arriving at 3am so all we wanted to go sleep. On arrival the hotel we were taken to a hotel which didnt look five star however we were soon moved to the new hotel which was the five star one.

Our room was beautiful, nicely decorated and very clean. The TV had only 2 english channels but the german mtv channel did have alot of english music and programs on too. The bathrooms were really good not like usual greek plumming.

The weather was extremely hot some days reaching high 30's and even at night reaching high 20's!! It was some days too warm for me but im a softy ha. There were many pools to choose from, for us we stayed at the activity pool where we joined in the games and water sports but there were several to choose from and there are always sunbeds to claim. The animation team were awesome, they were very friendly and always having a laugh, they spoke all languages so there was never any wrong translations.

We went to lindos (cost 2.10 euro on the local bus) to see the Acropolis which was brilliant, a bit of a walk but not anything extreme. Please don't use the donkeys, it is cruel on them to be made to walk up the heat with clearly too big tourists. it cost 6 euros to get in to the acropolis itself but really worth it. We also went to Rhodes city again using the bus costing 5.70 euros and was a really nice trip out, very beautiful.
