All inclusive up to 11pm. Food is pretty good food choices for all meals. Only downfall wine on all inclusive terrible.Everywhere very clean and staff very helpful. Pools good for adults and children.lovely beach on resort .Entertainment variety at night. Very safe
Great location Nice room Drinks OK Food awful No taste You could always find something but you never looked forward to your meals Staff miserable The quiet pool let everyone play their own music Not interested when numerous people complained to the lifeguards Constant banging music at beach bar Not a place for peaceful read in the sun Dont go there if you want a relaxing, peaceful time
This was my first time in Greece and travelled with my friend. He booked the hotel about 5 weeks before we went. Being end of season and on a budget of £800 there wasn't too many places, and I know I wanted to visit a new country so we landed here. The photos and reviews seemed to make it out like it's a lovely resort. However, the food was very very average at best. The choices every single lunch and dinner were the same, I don't mind going out of my comfort zone, but most of it didn't look appealing, the chicken and fish were pink on the inside which was a massive out off. I am not sure if it mentioned that you had to pay for WiFi, being 2022, you assume most places in the world, especially when paying £800 for 10 nights would have free WiFi, this was not the case.... I paid about €15 for a week of WiFi, and the WiFi didn't even reach our hotel room..... This was very annoying and disappointing. The all inclusive drinks were absolutely disgusting, I am a person who enjoys spirits and not a huge beer fan, however, there was only one beer available, and the vodka they had was vile, the coke tasted something like a 10p bottle you'd get from an off license. I felt poorly most of the holiday, so I stopped eating and drinking at this all inclusive hotel and ate elsewhere every night, this did help in the last 3 days with my illness. As the resort is on the beach, we decided to instead of lounge by the pool, to lounge by the beach, and as a huge shock it was €6 to use the lounges, this was about 40 feet away from the pool where it was free, I felt very disgraced by this. What I can say though, the entertainment team were fantastic and very inclusive, they were friendly and you were always entertained. Of course with Greece the views and sights are amazing, but the hotel and experience lowered my overall enjoyment due to its lack of everything..... Overall; Hotel: 3/10 Food: 1/10 Cleanliness: 7/10 Staff: 8/10 Entertainment: 9/10 I will definitely not return, as everywhere else in a similar budget is a lot better.…
Arrived around 11pm and was checked in by a member of staff who was at best disinterested, we were not made to feel welcome, rather more of an inconvenience to be honest. We were pointed in the direction of our room and weren't really sure where we were going so I went back to reception to double check and the guy sighed, rolled his eyes and pointed again. On the plus side our room was nice, on the ground floor so no view but that can't be helped, it was clean and nicely furnished, the aircon was great and overall the room was better than other 3 star rooms I've stayed in in Greece. It was cleaned daily with fresh towels and bedding. The food was great with a great selection of breakfasts, lunch and dinner had various tasty mains, salads and deserts. However, the dining experience wasn't good, this was mainly a result of some of the guests behaviour though, they behaved like pigs at a trough, pushing and snatching as though the food would disappear and they'd starve! The staff were great at replenishing the food and brought replacements out when each dish was around 3/4 gone. Personally, I think that part of the issue is that the dining room is not big enough to accommodate the amount of guests, we were quite often wandering around with a plate trying to find and empty table to sit at. We went the week after the children returned to school so I can only imagine how bad it was when there was more families instead of mainly couples. We tried going at different times hoping it was less busy but there didn't seem to be much of a difference. We didn't feel like we could have a leisurely evening meal with drinks, more like shovel your food in and leave, the best comparison would probably be a school canteen. We ate out 3 out of the 7 nights just so we could enjoy our meal and evening not because of the food. The grounds were well kept and the beach bar was handy, it would have been nice if they had kept the beach bar open into the evenings to provide somewhere to sit which was quieter and less well lit overlooking the sea and away from the main bar. I had no issue with paying for the sunbeds on the beach and preferred to do so rather than sit around the pool where beds did seem to be at a premium with people reserving the beds even the night before, didn't bother me just an observation. Overall it was ok, it's 3 star not 5 star and that's reflected in the price. Some of the staff could have been friendlier, they were probably sick to death of tourists at the end of the summer but they shouldn't look or act like it, if you can't fake it don't work in customer facing roles. Would I go again? Personally, no but I have recommended it to family and friends with children.…
This is a 3 star very budget hotel. It is catering for lower income tourists and has older facilities. This area has sewage plants which smell horrendous. People were consuming drugs in the bar area which was very worrying. Stay in the north of Corfu where beaches are stunning and there is so much more to do.
We came here end of september and arrived just in time as the last day or two everything was closing for the season so we were glad to have arrived when we did! The hotel is really big and spotless, rooms cleaned daily with fresh towels. I dont understand people who are saying the food isnt edible, the food is delicious if your not fussy. My son is 2 and there was not much options for him which I do think isnt fair but me and my partner ate well over the week, night time we gave a miss most nights as its the same as lunch but breakfast was the best for us. All inclusive drinks were fine you get what you pay for, beach is beautiful and if you go across the river there's a great selection of shops places to eat etc. We wouldnt return only because we like to explore different places but for a cheap family holiday we could not complain at all.…
This was our 5th time holiday in the resort. Fantastic for family and couples. The grounds beautiful with olive trees, flowers. Nice and clean, food amazing. Staff very helpful and hard working. Can't wait to be back next year ❤️
We arrived late at 1.40am due to airline delays we were checked in quickly and efficiently and were taken to our rooms and as everything was closed provided with a bottle of water each. The room was clean and had a nice view and were cleaned everyday with the bedding changed every couple of days, can't fault the cleaning staff they work hard. Our 1st morning in the restaurant we were very happy with the selection as we had our son who is fussy we were able to eat a hot breakfast while he enjoyed the Nutella and many pastries on offer. a lovely lady named Jacqueline who worked in the restaurant helped my son and was very chatty and would always ask us how our stay so far was and it was nice that she seemed to seek us out for a chat its was very welcoming. The food in the afternoon was hit and miss in both the beach restaurant and the main restaurant, for myself who likes to try new dishes I ate well each meal time except twice which we decided to order a pizza, however my children mainly ate chips the whole 2 weeks as there were not many child friendly dishes and in the beach restaurant the snacks were not the greatest either, nevertheless they didn't starve just lacked choice of food. Every single member of staff we came across could not have been more helpful and pleasant to deal with, the entertainment staff were fantastic and work incredibly hard day and night and made the holiday extremely eventful. Before we booked I had researched hotels within our budget and messonghi beach seemed the best option yes you pay 6 euros per person for the water slides for your whole stay but I think that was reasonable enough, you also have to pay 6 euros per day for 2 beach loungers with a little table but again we didn't think that was too bad and children were free. Also you do have to pay for WiFi which is 15 euros for 2 devices for 1 week again not an issue as all of these extra charges were clearly stated on the website when we booked so we were aware of these charges before we arrived. The hotel is stated as a 3* hotel so what other reviewers were expecting is beyond me as I think the hotel is as advertised at a 3* rating it's extremely clean and comfortable all across the hotel. We came near the end of the season so I'm not sure about the divide people mentioned we were able to use 2 pools and the splash park and also the water slide pool and the beach so we didn't experience a divde or any pools we could not use but as I said we were near the end of the season so could be different at high season. There are car and bike rental facilities on site and there is a mini market and a souvenir shop as well as a home made shop with soaps and bags etc and a jewellery store too. We didn't use the shops on site as there are many shops a short walk off site offering everything that is on site for a much cheaper price. We did hire a car 2 days and travelled into corfu town to enjoy the local shopping experience which cost 45 euros for the day. On our 10th day there was heavy rain and the site was partially flooded our rooms were to the left from the main hotel and were flooded from the door but there was a lady driving people to and from the main building for breakfast and lunch so you didn't get wet, the staff worked extremely hard to get rid of the excess water and everything was back to normal the next day. Our last day check out was at 11am but our pick up for our flights were not until 7.40pm so I phoned reception for a later check out they asked me to go to the front desk and when I did they just took our room numbers and allowed us to keep hold of the rooms until 6pm without charge, again end of season so probably were able to accommodate us easier but we were very grateful regardless. All in all we had a fantastic holiday and the only real let down was the lack of food choices for children so we've given a 4 out of 5. I would definitely recommend as a budget friendly hotel for families and we would go back again. I will definitely be going back with my girlfriends and this time try out the on site nightclub. Thankyou again to all of messonghi beach staff for a great holiday.…
Great location. The room was a stones throw from the beach. Staff all very friendly. Rooms serviced daily to a good standard. My 4 year old loved the daily mini disco and the team were great with her. We ventured out after that so can't comment on the rest of the entertainment. Not a place to come and relax, the grounds are very loud until about 1am. The food was shocking. We ate on the first night and it's probably the worse food we have ever encountered. We gave it another chance later in the week but was not edible. A little boat ride over the river (1eur) takes you to lots of lovely restaurants and bars. Return visit to corfu = definitely Return visit to hotel = probably not
Well after reading the reviews on here I was a little apprehensive. Do not believe everything you read. The hotel was amazing from start to finish. The staff are the hardest working staff I've ever seen at a hotel. Always friendly and never stop working. The grounds were always spotless even after a day of flooding, they worked so hard to make it right for the guests. The maids did a fantastic job looking after our room . Always clean and tidy. The food - well if you cannot find something to eat then there is something wrong with you. Always a good selection , its all inclusive food its mass produced and we did not go hungry. The drinks - again all inclusive, you have the option to pay for alternative drinks . But the drinks were fine , sometimes strong but it did the job. The entertainment - this was fantastic, had a great time. They work so hard to keep everyone entertained and it was fun not boring like some hotels I have been to. The team did a great job. Never a dull night!! The little town outside is lovely, lots of nice restaurants and bars and when we fancied a change of food we visited a couple of these and had some lovely food . Well worth visiting Rani's for a gyro. Huge and delicious. Had a fantastic holiday even with a bad storm and floods on 1 day . Would we visit again? Absolutely. Booking again for next year! …
