Tsambika is the owner who was very friendly and helpful. We stayed here for 2 nights as part of a cycling holiday, The room facilities are extremely basic. Dogs barking all night long, Everything was very tired and worn, could do with a bit of attention. Archengelous is a very friendly Greek town with a nice beach about 3km away.

We stayed here with some friends and it was okey. It’s kind of simple, more like a B&B than a hotel, but we almost liked it. The owner was nice, everything was clean, the WiFi as okey but didn’t work in some of the rooms but the beds (as always in Greece?) were hard. And there was no remote to the A/C so we couldn’t use it. The best was the nice terass on the 1st floor, and the worst was the breakfast. Poor selection and no real coffee. So I don’t know, I don’t think we will be back next time we’re in the neighbourhood.

We've just finished a week in Rhodes as part of a biking tour and we've spent two nights in Archangelos in Hotel Rosmari. Initially, I was apprehensive because of the latest review and was dreading getting there. So when we arrived there and were met by a friendly Tsambika (the Owner of the hotel), our minds were put at ease fairly quickly. She did everything to make us comfortable and to ensure that we had everything we needed. There were no cockroaches, no ants and no mosquitoes at all. The rooms were very clean and while our covers might have been slightly worn out, there were no holes in them or in our towels. The food was fine and similar to other hotels we've seen and based on our experience of the 4 different family run hotels in Rhodes, it is probably middle of the pack. Rosmari is a cute little hotel outside of the main town and is run by Tsambika and her daughter. It would be truly sad if these small owners are pushed out by the big chains as they support not just the local economy but also the niche demand for a small hotel in a beautiful town. Having these family run hotels that are embedded in the community allows you to experience the small town feel up close and personal. My husband and I were very satisfied with the service and the location and we would go back. Tsambika, thank you for your hospitality and the recommendation of the Hellas Restaurant; the food was outstanding.

We stayed in Hotel Rosmari for 7 nights and were totally unsatisfied! We knew that it´s a cheap hotel and we therefore didn´t expect that much. But the facilities are in very bad conditions and the simple breakfast was, as we think, disgusting. You hear every movement in this hotel so that you think the walls are made of paper. We heard our neighbors puking the whole night. Further, we did not have a curtain. The brightness came by the first sunbeams. So, we fall late asleep because of the loudness and get up very early ´cause of the sun. No relaxing time in the hotel. Everything would not been that negative, if the owner, who is an old woman, would not been that weird. Firstly, we thought she is very honest and helpful. After some days we realized that she is giving us wrong information. For example: she pushed us renting a car. Otherwise it would not been possible to visit the beaches (but it is definitely possible by bus). As we did, there was a different price than before arranged. The most barefaced situation, by far, was on the leaving day. As we booked a transfer bus in advance, it should arrive at 5pm to pick us up. We already checked out in the noon so that we could go enjoy our last afternoon. We left our luggage in the hotel´s lobby, and came back before 5. Then, we realized that the owner forgot to give us our IDs back. As I noted that point, she gave us our passports back and demand and extra fee for the AC we have used. She has never (!) informed us before about that. At the airport I talked with other hotel guests, who stayed also at Rosmari, and the had the same situation. We then had to wait for another 10-15 minutes to finalize the payment because the owner was not capable of succeeding a credit card payment. All the time the bus had to wait for us. It was embarrassing and a very greedy behavior of the woman. Thus, I will never stay again at this "hotel" and cannot recommend it.
