We loved our stay here in May. Within 15 mins walk of village….great to be in quiet area but so easy to get to local restaurants. Very clean and staff charming and super attentive. Special place with local beach good for children. Hotel has great pool and also separately, a large play pool for kids. Great place for family holiday or just wanting to explore north coast of Crete by car.

We booked this relatively last minute never having been to Crete before and wondering how Covid safe everything would be. It was lovely. The owner helped us with an airport pick up from Chania and the driver even took us to Anna’s house, waited while we unloaded and then dropped us back in to nearby Georgioupolis as we’d arrived late and wanted to eat quickly. We stayed in a villa at the main site which have two bedrooms and a sofa bed, with balconies from each bedroom overlooking the pool, mountains and a glimpse of the sea from one. All clean and modern. The pool and facilities are good. Anna’s house is a 5-10 min walk from two beaches and shops, tavernas and so on, which meant we didn’t need a car. Overall a lovely stay.

We have just returned from a weeks stay, family of 2 adults 1 teenager, b&b, and we were blown away by the accommodation and staff of this hotel. We have holidayed in the village about 6/7 times, but this was our first time “across the river”! It is literally a 5 min walk to the main square, and is a lovely, quiet hotel at every time of day. We had room 39 in the main building, and although a bit unsure at first of having a ground floor room, it turned into a real blessing, only having to nip across the wall that separated us and the pool area! The room was lovely, having 2 balcony areas a real surprise, the air con worked really well, all the cooking facilities needed to rustle up a meal! Really good sized front balcony that didn’t feel as though you were too close to next door, and so close to the pool to literally throw your towels on in the morning ( although finding sun beds was never an issue, we were normally the first towels out at about 9ish!). The bathroom was lovely too, water pressure was occasionally weak, but all depends on time of day and no different to anywhere else in Greece! Breakfast was always no problem, always lots of fresh produce and a place to sit! There was only one day when it felt busy, but still everyone had a seat and no issues with food availability! Big thank you to Ana who always worked so hard and was super friendly, and the lovely lady who greeted us every morning when cleaning our room! WiFi was fine, it was stronger in the bar and pool area, but if it was fine for our 14 yr old, it must be ok! Really pretty garden areas, didn’t feel too close to anyone else and a handy bar to grab drinks and ice creams from, and also serves snacks if you want a lazy pool day! Definitely, definitely will return again!

We staid there 1 week in half board. Positive - staff very friendly and dedicated. Special thanks to the breakfast cook Argyro and in the main room, to Anna. Both are able to do multitasking and serve several customers at the same time - overall the resort is clean and quiet during the evening and night - good quality of beds - rooms are large enough Negative - very busy time at the breakfast : not enough staff for the quantity of guests generating bottlenecks, queues, lack of free table, plates from former guests remaining on the tables, or even dirty cutlery proposed for use (like this Sunday morning) - too humble breakfast : limited choice (ex.: fruits) and average quality of products proposed (ex.: slop coffee). Questionable taste - lots of mosquitos in the area which is normal, but no anti-bugs shades mounted on the windows (curtains are not enough) - low water pressure in the shower during the peak times (morning and late afternoon) - bad wifi coverage in the rooms away from the reception - stinking smell from plumbing in the bathroom - payable beach towels 3 € / towel (never seen in a 4-stars hotel) - refill of shower gel and shampoo not made everyday (should be standard for a 4-stars hotel) - only 1 bottle of water and 1 bottle of juice complementary for the whole stay. Rest is chargeable - wild cats everywhere : at the breakfast begging for food, at the pool, in the garden where one can find cats pooh (!). Even for people loving animals like us, it is disturbing

Anna's House is expanding every year and the interior designs are stylish and luxury. The location is perfect especially for those travelling around the island. Try the sharing pool villas... The location is excellent in that its a 4-6 minute walk to the beach and town. This means that its nice and quiet where it is but close enough to the amenities. The quality of the accommodation, pool, sun loungers, bar and restaurant met all our expectations and facilitated a happy and relaxing holiday. Lying around the pool with easy access to loungers, unimposing background music from the bar and general quiet was a pleasure. All the above could have been spoilt by unfriendly or unhelpful staff but Chrisa, Manolis, Katerina were fantastic. They smiled, they were helpful and went the extra mile when I had a few requests about issues outside our accommodation at Anna's. The young lady and young man who ran the bar and the breakfast buffet were also polite, helpful and smiled. Miserable people serving me on my holiday kills me. The rooms were cleaned every day and this was done well. The staff were an asset to the establishment. Thank you to the staff! We would return and probably will. We had room 40 overlooking the pool which was very pleasant. There are rooms across the other side of the road and another complex 100m or so towards town and so discuss where you want to be if you are bothered by such. Room 40 as a superior apartment over looking the pool in the main facility was well priced in my opinion. Self catering facility is light but adequate. Scrambled eggs, pasta etc not a full roast dinner.

This holiday we wanted luxury rather than the typical studios staying with Greek family which also like . You will NOT be disappointed with ANNAS HOUSE. Set over two sites ( 20 metres apart) these apartments are stunning . We chose on arrival the quieter block just 20 metres down road ( ground floor room 86 ) this had large private garden with two patios one off lounge and one off bedroom . Everything about ANNAS HOUSE exudes stylish design both exterior and interior decor.with a eye for detail. Our apartment had space well laid out design soft lighting high end feel. Views of both the ( white mountains / fields with sheep which every morning you had the jingle of there bells to wake you up when the farmer came to feed his flock very quaint. The maids were very thorough clean fluffy towels / crisp white quality sheets daily changed. The TEAM on site deliver high level service and any request will be dealt with. Georgioupolis is just stunning , a small traditional village square where the locals and tourist gather in the evening and off square the are little streets with very very good quality Tavernas . From ANNAS HOUSE a short walk over the bridge brings you to the Village and running down to the beach which again being beach lovers is just lovely. Pure sand and crystal clear waters with a view of the river flowing into the sea and the church out to sea separating the river estuary and the two beaches lined with boats waterfowl . This small resort is naturally stunning and has an air of chic natural beauty. Returning each evening to ANNAS HOUSE knowing you are about to experience luxury both the outside setting and very very comfortable interior of your apartment. THANK YOU your standards and delivery of service compliment a great holiday experience.

A stunning hotel. Set just a 6 minute walk from the river bridge into Georgioupolis, this Hotel is miles apart when it comes to style. Anna's House consists of a main area and then some outlying buildings along the lane and offers Apartments or Maisonettes (Villas). We stayed on the main site in a Villa (more on this later). It was very clean, very spacious and offered fantastic views of the pool area, it was superbly equipped with a full kitchen including Dish Washer, Full size Fridge Freezer and Cooker with all necessary utensils, crockery etc you would need if wanting to prepare meals for yourself. It also had a Washing machine, Iron & Ironing board the complete package for self catering. It was however looking dated and was let down by having only one Bath/Shower although the second downstairs toilet was a godsend for two couples sharing (more on this later) ! We were informed that they are to be refurbished over the coming closed season 2017/2018. This is not the case with the Villas situated along the road, these are new build, furnished with a Boutique/Modern interior but are priced as such! Outside we enjoyed our own little Patio area with sizable table and chairs over looking the pool. The Bar area is well equipped and is great for a cooling Beer during the day or a relaxing drink in the evening. The Breakfast area was excellent with a good selection all self service plus Omelettes/Eggs cooked to order. Plenty of seating but it doesn't take long to work out the busy times if you want to avoid a little hustle/bustle. The Pool is simply stunning, has a small fenced off kids area and is circled by large plush sunbeds. We never failed to get a bed no matter what time we turned up although a large stack of extra beds are located by the shower that you could place anywhere on the vast grassy areas around the grounds for more peace/privacy. Peace & Privacy sums the place up rather well, its so quiet. Maybe it is because the complex is spread out with some having they're own pool or simply the fact that the (Apokoronas) area has so much to offer (the many hire cars parked outside at night & missing during the day would suggest this). The staff are all friendly and welcoming, from the cleaners who take care of your rooms every day, to the bar man, kitchen staff and reception. So why the ONE SLIP? Well there was confusion on our arrival. We had booked months earlier for two apartments via bookgreece.com , as two couples. The hotel had us down for one shared accommodation, two adults 3 kids !!!!!!!! When the dust had settled and as the hotel was otherwise fully booked, we were offered a choice, Stay in the shared Villa and a refund equal to the difference in price of the rooms would be given, Stay in the new style more expensive villa (still sharing) with no adjustment to price or the hotel would find us suitable alternative accommodation (not sharing) in another hotel in the area. We wanted to be at Anna's House and opted for the (more practical) on site Villa (sharing) with the agreed refund and a sizable credit behind the bar (that took some wrangling but we got there in the end)! I would add that the Management did all they could to accommodate us in a way that was available to them and acceptable for us and although we had to forgo a little privacy, we enjoyed a wonderful stay and had it not been for the "one slip" then Anna's House would get top marks.
