The resort is well organised and laid out. The beach was very accessible. The children’s play area was tucked away further back as not to disturb the central pool areas. We went in September, no kids anyway! Courtesy caddies were readily available to take you to and from your room or to the beach or back.

Hotel's Favorite
We traveled Greece extensively over the last few years and stayed at Lindos Blu on Rhodes, the Marriott Blue Palace and the St. Nicolas Bay on Crete. This time we decided to go for the Anemos Luxury Resort. We booked for two weeks and were upgraded from a deluxe room with shared pool to a private pool which was fantastic. Overall, we had a wonderful time and would not hesitate to return but choose a date outside the holiday season as we had expected less families with children and a more relaxing experience. The hotel is located about 100 kms from Heraklion and 45 kms from Chania so fly into Chania if you can; the nearest village is Georgioupolis (about 25 mins along the beach). The location is rather remote, so you may wish to hire a car to get around. The hotel is built on a slightly sloping plot and consists of six lines of accommodation blocks, all with two floors. It is north facing so most patios and the majority of private pools are in the shade and tend to get cold. While we had lovely views, some of the rooms do not provide a clear view over the block in front. Also, the road at the front of the hotel is rather noisy so we recommend avoiding rooms in the first two rows. The beach is fantastic, with crystal clear waters, nice sunbeds and good service; it is located on the other side of the road which you cross via a tunnel. Pending on the location of your room it’s an easy 5-10 mins walk. The resort is architecturally very nice, the pool landscape is beautiful as well, but rather shallow (max 1,20 m). Unfortunately, the pools were occupied by kids most of the time, so we preferred the beach instead. Our room was lovely, very spacious and overall well-appointed with a really comfortable king size bed. We would have preferred a walk-in shower instead of a bathtub and were disappointed by the poor quality of the towels (worn out, paper thin and not what you would expect in a five-star resort). The room was kept immaculate at all times. Anemos offers very good buffets with a variety of local and international food as well as four specialty restaurants. We loved the fish restaurant at the beach, and also the Greek one (Levantes). Unfortunately, breakfasts were a bit hectic and rushed, as it is often the case in big family resorts. While rather pricey, the variety of wines on the menu was outstanding. The sommelier was very knowledgeable and helped us combining our wines with the food. Most of the staff in the restaurants were amazing, especially Katherina, Eleni, Kosta and Nikolaos. COVID regulations were adhered to all times. The shows in the evening were not to our taste, and due to the volume of the music there was no way to escape – so we missed the relaxing and quiet evenings on our terrace which was a bit sad. We had also expected less families with kids, and especially during our second week things became less relaxing as a result. Overall, and with some minor adjustments, we would be happy to give Anemos the full five stars; for now, we think it is a very good 4,5-star hotel. Recommended especially for families, and for a largely German clientele. Thank you for a great stay.

A really excellent hotel, with everything you could want, fabulous beach with abundance of beds, bar, restaurant and very good showers and toilet facilities. There is a dedicated children’s area with own pools flumes etc crazy golf, tennis badminton, table tennis and outdoor gym and a great cafe adjacent. All the main restaurants offer a superb selection of food cooked to perfection, with large portion size means you will definitely not go hungry. Lots of pools and sun beds in main complex, never a problem finding one. Evening entertainment each day along with plenty of indoor or out bars to choose. If you want to be active there are plenty of free activities to join in with each day. Can’t praise the staff enough always polite and attentive with nothing too much trouble. Hotel has a well deserved 5 star rating, I won’t hesitate to stay again.

What a fabulous hotel, this hotel really lives up yo its name. From the moment you step in and are greeted with a refreshing drink and given details of the hotel, dinner times etc. to being transported br golf buggy to your room, which are available to guests 24 hrs. Deluxe room with sea view was spacious. spotlessly clean with a well stocked mini fridge. 2 balconies. this was cleaned every day to a very high standard by our lovely lady who was very friendly. in fact all the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Pool area was stunning with lots of sunbeds and a poolside bar, pool was very clean and at 1.2m deep excellent to havea swim. There is even a little greek Chapel there. The main restaurant always had a good selection of dishes to suit every taste and there were always greek traditional dishes to chose. This was for breakfast lunch and dinner. we were all inclusive and i would recommend that as drinks can add up very quickly. Service in the three a la carte restaurants was excellent, scirocco (seafood beach restaurant) the evening meal was very generous portions 5 courses. very good, lunchtime snacks good variety to chose from. Great cocktails. the Asian restaurant service again excellent but food a little disappointing 4 courses and small portions. wish i had chosen something different the sushi looked very good coming out i chose the pancake rolls and they were ok. Ostria meat and grill again fantastic service, food was good i had the lamb souvlaki again very small amount of lamb and should have been served with pitta bread but didnt have any lovely location overlooking the pool. my husband opted for the special which was extra but you get a discount for all inclusive. he had the pork chop and that was excellent, very tasty. lovely starter and dessert. a lovely evening. Entertainment each evening was excellent with very good acts each evening. Bars were good, very good choice of drinks and cocktails. Espresso martini very strong coffee taste and not very palatable. the other cocktails we tried were good. service was good but sometimes had to wait a, while to be served. one point i would say for improvement and this is a minor point is when you are greeted initially to provide details of the bus timetables and also the excursions the hotel offers as we would have definitely booked more excursions we only found out about this halfway through the holiday and it was too late to book anything. we managed 1 excursion to lake kournas on the land train but would have definitely booked the excursion to chania as the local bus service was unreliable waited over 2 hours and bus did not come. would definitely recommend this hotel and will return again. all in all superb

An excellent modern hotel, close to the beach. We travelled on an all inclusive package and we we’re not disappointed. The food and drink was of a good quality and we were able to eat at each of the specialist restaurants as part of the package. The beach is accessible via a tunnel which avoids the main coast road. This is a short walk from the hotel but there are plenty of buggies to take you to and from the beach. The hotel’s beach facilities are excellent with plenty of sun beds available. Our room was large and it shared a reasonably sized swimming pool with four other rooms. We found our whole deal is excellent value for money, with the staff making our stay even more memorable.

We stayed at the Anemos Luxury resort in September 2022 for a week. We had a deluxe double room with a shared pool. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. The food was excellent in the buffet restaurant and in the 3 a la carte restaurants that we ate in. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to visit Crete. The private airport transfers were worth the extra money.

We stayed at the Anemos Luxury resort in August for 10 nights. This was our first holiday in two years so was very much looking forward to the holiday as well as celebrating our 22 year anniversary. Upon arrival we were greeted warmly and taken to our room in a golf buggy. We were located near the kids water park, which was a little further from the main pool but we didn't mind. The room was large with two separate rooms - one for the kids with two sofa beds which they found very comfy and another bedroom with a super king bed. We were a little disappointed with the garden view, as it was more of a dried out garden with not much to look at. I did raise this with the reception and they were kind enough to offer us an extra night to dine in one of the al la carte restaurants, which we were pleased with. The pool, beach and water park are all excellent. The resort is spacious but we were still able to walk to most places without relying on the buggies - we even welcomed the walk after our meals! The staff are so nice and welcoming - we would like to say a huge thanks to Najah and Julia in Guest relations, both were super friendly, helpful and approachable. The restaurant staff were also very friendly and helpful, always working hard for quite long hours each day - a special call out to Mohammed and Manu for her super tasty omelettes each morning. We hired a car from the local town and explored Rethymno, Chania old town, Elafonisi, Matala beach and Lake Kournas - all wonderful places. Would definitely recommend getting out and about to explore as it is a beautiful island.

We are just back from two wonderful weeks in Anemos. We had an amazing two bedroom family suite with a large private pool. We were situated near the childrens animation area which was perfect for us. Every morning we spent time enjoying the water slides there supervised by the excellent George. Our two children also spent an hour or two in the kids club most days and loved it. They were disappointed when we collected them because they were having so much fun. Special thanks to Sophia who was so kind to them. The staff throughout the resort were so friendly and efficient. We had bad weather for a couple of days of our stay which caused some issues with the pools but these issues were resolved very speedily. The hotel is architecturally very beautiful. There are no sunbed wars at this resort - there are more than enough incredibly comfortable beds for everyone. We would regard ourselves as foodies and the food at the buffet was fantastic. We are in the three al a carte restaurants too and they were all wonderful especially the seafood restaurant. Also really enjoyed the classes on offer, particularly the aqua aerobics and the yoga classes. I couldn’t recommend this resort enough. Thank you Anemos for a truly amazing stay.
