We moved to Vantaris Palace after a terrible stay in another hotel. They were incredible and so helpful throughout our stay! would stay here again and again. We were upgraded to the seafront room too! Also the spa was amazing...booked ourselves a deep tissue massage before we left. In particular Soula (restaurant manager) was the loveliest person we met in Crete! She was so loving and caring and I can't praise her enough! We, as a family, miss her already!

We have just returned from a very relaxing week at the Vantalis palace hotel and what I can I say , we are blown away by the service and standard that this hotel offers and with the COVID situation the cleaning and covid procedures adopted by the hotel are second to none so you always feel very safe . The hotel is situated 40 minutes from Chania airport on a long Sandy beach of which the hotel has its own sun beds and beach bar. When I say beach bar this is a lovely quality setting overlooking the beautiful sea with views of the surrounding hills ,just superb. Rooms are beautifully appointed and furnished with quality fittings all round including walk in 2 person showers and whisper quiet air conditioning. There are 3 pools , a large dining room and two bars and all seating arranged outside around the pool area giving it a lovely al fresco feel to breakfast and dinner. Food choices were very varied and exceptional quality with freshly squeezed juice and abundant fresh brewed quality coffee. In addition the weekly barbecue on Greek night was great with many varieties of meats on offer. Maybe what stands this hotel apart though is the quality of the service received from every member of staff we encountered , it was just outstanding and friendly and helpful in every way. Staff are happy and take pride in their work with a smile on their face. The hotel has a relaxed professional feel and you will not be interrupted by any animation teams so you can enjoy the peace and quiet of the beautiful surroundings and sumptuous food and drink available, and note that the drinks were all of good quality including a large glass of wine or large draft bear for 3 euros , what value. This hotel comes highly recommended a real gem ..

For us one of the best hotels ever. We have been here several times and will definitely be back: spacious, always clean and quiet, even when it is full. To come here is a little like coming home, just not so cold :-) A little tip: AI is definitely recommended with children, but not absolutely necessary, there are alternatives both inside and outside the hotel. The direct beach location is (especially with a sea view) a pleasure. But if you are looking for animation and a place to park your children all day, you are wrong here. For us, an argument in favor of the hotel: noisy party animation that would rob you of peace and quiet does not exist. Activities are certainly offered, but they are subtle. The same applies to the evening program: unobtrusive and cozy. The only exception: the Greek evening with folk dances, fireworks and live music. Quite a highlight, we always had a lot of fun here. Rooms: good, clean, properly equipped and adequately sized. If you don't want to stay here for the whole holiday, the rooms are absolutely fine. Small downer: the safe costs extra, as does WiFi. In my opinion, something like that is unnecessary in this price category. Staff: almost without exception friendly and accommodating. Here you don't feel like a necessary evil or a tip machine, but actually as a welcome guest. Even if some of them seemed a bit overwhelmed at peak times, the tone is always friendly and courteous and whatever was necessary and possible was made possible. Our special thanks go to Soula, whose open and warm manner has meanwhile become the most important argument for us to keep coming back. In addition to Panos, who is not only a great person, but also a great bartender who understood his job and knows that a cocktail has to taste good even if it is not paid for separately (in many hotels, AI guests like to be filled off with inedible mixtures, that is definitely different here). Good mood, hospitality and an almost family atmosphere, what more could you want? Beach: fantastic! The long sandy beach is ideal for sun worshipers and invites you to relax, swim and take long walks, for example to the sleepy Georgioupolis, which you simply have to see here. The only drawback: the beach chairs and parasols cost extra (which is common here), even for all-inclusive guests. 12, - € for a family of four per day, even if you are only here for a few hours in the afternoon ... whether it really has to be in this price range (and all inclusive) is questionable. Food: delicious! We ate well here every day ... from a rich breakfast to a good lunch, snacks on the beach or the buffet in the evening: tasty, fresh products and something for everyone (including authentic local cuisine, from salads to desserts). The selection is not quite as extensive, but for us that is a quality feature: Anyone who knows a little bit about cooking knows that it is hardly possible to offer a completely overloaded buffet with fresh and regional products. Here, on the other hand, value is placed on quality, not on quantity. That's how it should be. Particularly noteworthy is the Greek evening: delicious grilled food and the finest Greek delicacies that fall right on your hips and are simply great. In short: Normally you have to leave the hotel to get away from the tourist monotony, but here you can also endure culinary delights. Very small downer: if you have a lunch box packed for the day, you are confronted with a dry sandwich (the topping hardly deserves the name, you could at least use some butter so you can choke it down). Cake and olive bread are ok, the rest is a touch of fruit and vegetables. Generally ok, but I bet that, for example, 90% of the tomatoes that are stuffed into the paper bag end up mashed in the backpack, the rest in the trash. You could invest a little more effort here.

Luxury Hotel directly located on wonderful sandy beach site of Kavros close to Georgioupolis. Very clean and spacy rooms. Perfect services. Staff is very gentle. Very good bar services. We felt very welcome in this hotel. Perfect also for day-trips to mountains or to the beautiful cities of Chania and Rethimnon.

Well I should say it was mixed feeling with this hotel in short. Checkin: The feel at reception seemed more like checking into a business hotel than a beach side resort. They were of course friendly and professional, but lacked something that should cheer up visitor. It took sometime to cleanup some issues with the booking system were it was showing my prepaid rooms as unpaid. Those were cleared out and checkedin. Along with checkin, it did gave some surprises, probably somethings which were never unheard of or not popular especially with such kind of resort which falls in luxury segment. Beach chairs are charged, Internet is charged (per hour)!!!! and the worst part was even safe inside room is charged 3euro per day! These charges looks so weird to me, especially the safe part which ought to be part of the facility of the room. I was not able to understand if the room costs 100s of euros, why these has to be charged again? Even sports facilities are also charged! Room: We had room with pool. Both well maintained and had all amenities required. Toiletries are limited to soap and shampoo. So bring anything else that is required. If anything extra is required, wonderful staff is always there to help. Food: Breakfast has quite elaborate options. So is lunch and dinner option. If someone is planning to have all meals from hotel, highly recommend to go full board or half board. Its really nice food and the staff as well. Staff: Anyone who had stayed here would be really impressed with staff (reception maybe exception) be it house keeping or room service or restaurant, it was really warm. Beach was sandy with very less pepples and stones. Overall resort is on silent side. Other than beach area, it may feel bit mundane though. Probably due to the design and colors. At entrance of resort there is parking area, and highway is walkable. There are plenty of shops and restaurants near the highway. There is also a mini market inside the hotel if you are lazy to walk out. Overall its a mix feel. Didnt meet the expectations for such kind of hotel. But indeed staff, food and nice beach made it wonderful.
