We had a great time at the Pilot Beach Resort. Our room was on the upper floor of the beachfront bungalow and it could not have been better. The room was modern with all amenities for a relaxing stay. The unobstructed view of the beach and mountains was the best. Every night we slept with open windows listening to the waves. Our bungalow had the best location of all the resort: right on the beach, close to the beach restaurant and pool and far enough from the main road. The food was great. Good quality and many healthy choices, great salads, fish (even for breakfast). We booked half board and it was perfect. There are three different restaurants to dine in. We did not have the feeling that the resort was understaffed. All staff members were friendly. There is nothing to complain about. The resort is in walking distance to Georgioupolis. There is a beautiful lake nearby and it is worth renting a car to discover the western part of the island. …
As always, we have spent the most amazing holiday. Staff are extremely friendly and pay attention to any details. Tue quality of the food is also very good. The massages at the spa were outstanding and the kids loved there massage! See you next year!
The hotel itself is lovely and well spaced out so that it never felt over-crowded. We had a ground floor room that looked out onto one of the smaller swimming pools, which was well located close to all the amenities. Even though the resort looks very big, it only took around 5 minutes to walk to the beach from where we were staying at the back of the resort, which was a pleasant surprise. The room itself was very clean and big enough for a family of 4. The mini fridge was nice to have as we were able to buy our own drinks from the mini-market in the hotel and keep them cool. We tried all the restaurants and they were all very good. There was a wide variety of food and it was really great to have a lot of greek food on the menu as well. We didn't get to enjoy the beach and outdoor pools as much as we would have liked because the weather was bad but the one day we did have out there was lovely and we took full advantage of water sports on the beach. Given the weather we had, we did make use of the indoor pool in the spa, which was a real blessing. The hotel is very family friendly. Although we didn't make use of the kids club, the children felt welcome everywhere, including in the indoor pool in the spa, which is not the case in many hotels. The children eat free policy is a really nice touch. We were half board and the option for the children to have a snack during the afternoon when the adults were not hungry, was really great. The biggest plus for this hotel is undoubtably the staff. I can't even name names because every single member of staff that we interacted with was so friendly and helpful and always greeted you with a smile. They have a WhatsApp channel for reception enquiries and this was a fantastic resource - no standing in a queue at reception. They always responded very quickly to queries submitted this way and we felt that they went above and beyond to help. I enquired about somewhere to buy a birthday cake for my husband and they offered to make one for him. We also asked about getting extra duvets, as the children found their beds a little hard, and straight away they came and put mattress toppers on their beds. The responsiveness from all staff was excellent and always so friendly! Even on the day when a big storm hit, causing flooding around and about, and when the hotel must have been under a lot of pressure trying to deal with flooding and accommodate everyone for breakfast at the same time, while not having use of any outdoor areas, the staff dealt with it all fantastically well and still maintained their constant friendly and helpful approach. All in all, we had a great holiday at this hotel, despite the bad weather, and would love to return one day.…
We fully enjoyed our stay at PBR. We checked in with our 3 year old daughter. There are several pools and a wonderful beach savely accessible through an undercrossing. Our child loved the the kids club and the possibility to eat at any time. Everybody was welcoming and friendly. The waiters are attentive and the food was delicious. There are sports facilities, a mini market, a wellness area, etc. We could not wish for more and will definitely come back!
A great hotel with many extras. Beautiful beach, great pool landscape, great service and delicious food. Clean rooms and very tasty food. We were completely satisfied and would come back at any time.
Very nice days with kind service especially in the restaurants, bars and room services. The location itself is directly placed to the beach. The greeks themselves are very open and friendly. We have been to this location several times and always love to come back.
Very clean. Spacious suite. Well laid out resort, pools & lovely gardens. I didn't know about the underpass to get to beach but even the underpass is clean (no graffiti, stinky smells etc) and very brief walk. Pools all lovely, well maintained. Loads of sunbeds by pools and beach. We were end Sept into Oct so that may be different in July/Aug. Reception very pleasant and knowledgeable. Buffets lots of healthy food, fresh fruits, lean means, vegetarian options. I dont eat cooked breakfast but my husband didn't think it was great but then he only prefers "the full Irish/English". Really only faults I have, which is very little to worry about! no freshly squeezed orange juice and jams not great. The main reason I've not given a 5 star is because I feel their prices are on the high side. Yes I definitely recommend and we will be going again!…
We spent our family summer vacation at the Pilot Beach Resort. Turned out to be the best choice we could possibly make. We arrived late at night after a huge flight delay, tired and hungry. They kept some food at the kitchen for us and served us around midnight kindly and with a smile. Then took us to our room which seemed very plain and basic. Just before falling asleep I remember myself asking myself what was right behind the back door of the room, would it turn out to be a porch? The next day right ufter wake up the magic door was opened to a beautiful amaazing beach strip only 100-150 meters away that you could just run through barefoot into the water in seconds. No road, no steps, no nothing between you (in your hotel bed) and the ocean. The hotel could be better or worse, it just wouldn't matter... But it was superb. Three different reastaurants for dinner, two options for breakfast, one of which a step away from our room right by one of the three external swimming pool areas (didn't get to check the inside one from within) and the beach (did I already mention the beach? )... The spa was also a great experience and the staff (spa and hotels) friendly, professional and most important, always with a smile. Public areas are clean and nurtured and lots of accommodations especially for kids, including "tasty corner" where they could eat happily from 12 to 5 right between breakfast and dinner. After two hours you feel right at home and after a week you wish this was your home. Don't miss horseback riding and the archery activity. We are coming back next summer or even before right after reopening at the end of off-season closing. …
This resort is ideal for families specially toddlers! It took a bit of getting used to with restaurants opening at the earliest at 18:30 for dinner (my family tend to have dinner at 17:00). There is so much different food offered during buffets for breakfast and dinner, would highly recommend making a reservation Almyra; wonderful experience. The hotel are helpful in arranging taxis, however the company overcharged me by nearly double on all 3 occasions.
service and staff were welcoming and helpful always with a smile. pool are clean and well taking care off the Bongalo's were close to sea. we toke full board and enjoyed the restaurants. good location and very quaint.
