I accidently stumbled across the Ardeer farm Steading quite by accident- and we were so glad we did! It is immaculate inside, you could eat your dinner off the floor literally! The kitchen is so well equipped and the whole farmhouse is furnished to a very high standard! Alan and his family made us feel very welcome- but were non intrusive- but we knew if we had a problem that they would be o hand to remedy it! My only critisms were that it didn't have coat rack to hang up your coats, and the bed in room 1 was very very firm- even for me who likes a firm bed- it was just a bit too firm! But other than that the Ardeer Farm Steading is perfect! It's handy for the "3 toons" and also for bigger towns like Irvine and Ayr. Great place to use as a base for exploring Ayrshire. I would have gave it 10 stars but only allowed to give 5 !

We stopped over at Ardeer Steading for three nights as a party of 7 in July 2019. Alan was very helpful before, during and after our stay. The accommodation was spotlessly clean and spacious which made it very comfortable for a large group. Lots of living space as well the en suite bedrooms. The location is great for anyone visiting the three towns or staying overnight before catching the ferry across to Arran. We will definitely come back next time we're up.

Alan was lovely and so was his Mum. Alan was really quick responding to emails before we arrived and texts once we were there. Ardeer Steading was everything we hoped for and more. Nice little touches like milk, tea and coffee were appreciated after a 4 hour drive. Peaceful and scenic but still close to local amenities and places to visit. We would love to stay again.

We stayed a few nights last week while visiting family in the area. This is our first choice and has been for many years now. I would actually move my visit dates if Alan was fully booked. We always get the same warm and friendly welcome, a lovely spotlessly clean spacious and well decorated room, and a great selection for breakfast I always enjoy Alan's cooked breakfast, very tasty and virtually no grease on the plate (5 stars for that alone) So if you've tried the rest - next time. "Try the Best" you won't be disappointed. Thanks again Alan

Ardeer Steading is a breath of fresh air (literally), only a few moments from the questionable delights of Saltcoats. Alan and his mother could not be more helpful - indeed, they go far beyond the norm in making one feel welcome and ensuring one’s comfort, even if holidays and hospital appointments make it hard for them (both of which occurred during our stay, but one wouldn’t have known it!). The rooms at Ardeer are comfortable, airy and quiet - this is a work farm and is a haven of rural tranquillity. The prices are very reasonable, and yet it is very well-placed for the Ayrshire coast (Troon and Prestwick are just down the road) or even for the egutrain service to Glasgow. We have relatives in Saltcoats, and Ardeer Steading is now our place of choice for family visits.

Hi Christopher, Thank you for choosing us on your recent stay in the area, I am glad you had an enjoyable stay, and I am sorry I missed you on your trip here. I also thank you for your communication before your stay, your emails gave me all the details I needed whilst i was travelling to Vietnam to keep my mum updated on your travel arrangements, this helped her a lot in my absence. Thank you once again for your review. PS mums eye is coming along just great now, she is very happy with the result :)
