The hotel is located in a small, quiet village (Mathon) about a km away from Ischgl. The staff was very helpful, everything was clean and new/renovated, breakfast/dinner were tasty and it's less than 50 m away from the (Mathon West) bus station - from where you get to the Ischgl slopes in about 5 minutes with the frequent schibus. The manager was more than helpful, allowed an early check-in, let me leave my luggage at the reception so I could enjoy an extra ski day before leaving. You can buy the skipass (with the Ischgl VIP card discount) directly from the reception. You also get a voucher for a free ski/snowboard waxing at Intersport Bründl. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience.

Hotel is in Mathon, a 5 minute free bus ride from Ischgl, one of the top ski resorts in Austria. We have been to this hotel most years for the past 20 years. It has always been a great stop, with large comfortable rooms and comfortable beds. We always drive and there is ample parking at the front of the hotel. Briggita, the owner, is an excellent hostess and runs a very well organised establishment. Staff are very polite and efficient. Food superb, and plenty of it, small bar area with a full wine list. Sauna in the basement, German rules apply (no clothes). Hotel has very modern ski lockers at the lift station, so no need to keep carting skis and boots about. Great area for skiing and Summer walking. This hotel gets our top recommendation. Great value for money

Stayed for 3 days skiing in Ischgl. This is very much a hotel of 2 halves. First the good. The hotel is spotless, the staff helpful and friendly and the rooms comfortable and plenty spacious enough for all your ski gear and luggage. Good boot room and storage area. Getting to Ischgl is a breeze as the bus stop is a 1 minute walk and the service very regular. So why the low score? I felt continually unwelcome in the hotel thanks to the surly and patronising manner of the owner/manager. She was openly hostile at checkout when I wanted to pay my modest extras bill by credit card. How I pay is my choice. Likewise she seemed offended that we ate in Ischgl most nights. We told her in advance but she took it as an insult. We were good, polite guests yet she treated us like naughty children, not adults. This was such a stark contrast to the wonderful Christiania from the Chalet Angel in St Anton where I stayed beforehand. I won't be returning to a hotel that makes me feel unwelcome which is a shame as otherwise this would be a 4 star review.

Hotel is very close to Ischgl and offers a warm family like atmosphere. The room and service are excellent! The Wellness area is also very good. On top of this we had every day such a tasty and good food beyond our expectation. We are sure to come back to this place.

The hotel is made in modern style, which I really liked (especially the fireplace next to the stairs). My room 301 was close to elevator, but I didn't hear any noise. Room is also modern, but in good way. If you want to go for ski you just have to take one bus. It takes about 10 minutes. For comfort take the locker for your skies and other stuff. About the breakfast I'm pretty pleased. A large selection of teas (not only tea bags, but also 3 kind of tea in tins). The honey was a nice surprise, I mean the way of serving. Lots to choose so you won't be disappointed. I would add fresh orange juice only. About the dinner... Well, the salads were way to sour. In my opinion they put too much vinegar in everything. Only beans were without vinegar. Lots to choose, but if you don't like vinegar, you should skip salads during dinner. Other stuff was great, but I would add some green decorations: some chives, parsley or basil leaf. It would be nice to get a meal with some eatable decorations. It would raise the elegance of the dinner. To summarize: Modern hotel, close to Ischgl, great breakfast, good dinner, vinegar salads.
