We booked to stay at this B&B over the Gate to Southwell festival weekend. We booked directly with the Bramley Apple and gave card details over the phone so that the owner could take a deposit. Instead he took the whole amount! The confirmation of booking I asked for never arrived, the phone was never answered. To our horror, when... More

When your looking for an easy competitive option to get your head down in Southwell try the Bramley apple. No problems, quick and easy book in system, reasonable room rate and a decent bar with some nice real ale served. There are plenty of other real ale houses in the area that are worth trying and stopping over for.

My family and I were due to stay at the Bramley Apple Inn after my cousins wedding. We had spoken to them on the Wednesday to arrange to drop our bags on the Saturday before the wedding started. The landlord had said this would be fine and all was good. When we arrived on the Saturday no-one was there. No... More

Recently stayed at the Bramley Apple Inn for 2 nights as we were attending a wedding at Norwood Park. The owner makes the place, he is welcoming, helpful and cooks a fantastic breakfast. He attended to the needs of all his guests with ease. It was our first time in Southwell and the owner recommended some lovely pubs and places... More

We stayed for one night when we attended a wedding. Lovely clean and comfortable room. Breakfast was very nice. The manager was very friendly and made us welcome. Only negative is we didn't have any tea bags in our tea tray basket which was disappointing when we got back around midnight but that's because we are tea lovers.

Surroundings and ambience is quite nice but the food was disgraceful , undercooked meat and poultry servings. With a hefty price tag to match. I'm afraid I won't be setting foot in there again, the landlord was totally ignorant and probably used to serving tourists that pass through. The barmaid was dim and very unhelpful finding her phone mor interesting Waiting... We arrived at the Bramley Apple inn at around 9pm, we were greeted by the wonderful and cheerful Esme. We had a few two many drinks and went off to bed. Then next morning we were greeted by Paddy and his exquisite breakfast! The rooms were fairly large and the bed was very comfortable... We enjoyed our stay and would... More

A long overdue visit back to Southwell and I remember the pubs that were around twenty years ago. The Bramley Apple therefore springs to mind as one that was always a great place for a beer. Twenty years later........ The beer choices are very good and we decided to have the Sunday lunch too. Our party of four were very... More

I stayed here for one night in February 2015, i was attending a wedding of two close friends. We had a warm welcome from the owner who to be fair to him was manning a busy bar. Room was a little basic but comfortable, and as previous reviews have said, it could do with a bit of love in certain... More
