If you want to relax and get off of the grid this is the place to go. We were in cabin 8 and had a fantastic view of the lake. Very friendly staff. I understand that you do have to book as far in advance as possible. I rate this 4.5

My family and I camped at Beaver Lake last week. We got in on a last minute cancellation in site 41, which was a pull through site, right by the washrooms and the big grassy field. The showers were free and hot and the washroom was always clean. I was able to get cell service

Due to the fires in BC my partner and I had to cancel our original cabin on a lake so I did a bit of last minute research online and came across this place: Beaver Lake Mountain Resort. Luckily one of their rustic cabins (Fox) was available so I agreed to it. The photos on their

Thanks very much for your honest response, really sorry you had to leave early. The unusual heat and no rain make it sometimes hard to control smells, but thats no excuse, we worked on it and it got better. July and August are really busy month with a lot of children running around, it all depends on the families we have and how exited the kids get, sometimes it can get out of hands, we apologize for that. For the Wifi: we explain to our customers that we are on satellite and we pay for the bandwidth, this can get really expensive. We had free Wifi in 2015 and the monthly charges were beyond what we can justify to set up a free Wifi. But we are really happy you liked the lake, the coffees...haha, the general setting and our staff, much appreciated.

Wide variety of rentals such as boats, mountain bikes and paddle boards. The cabins come in all sizes and are clean and cozy. Kitchens are equipped with basic cooking utensils. There was no hot water in the cabin so taking a shower was quite challenging. Kids gonna like the

Thanks very much for the great review, much appreciated, there is hot water in all the indoor plumbing cabins, we could have fixed it in 2 minutes if we would have known about that issue. But we are glad you had still a great time. Hope seeing you all soon again, have a great summer

Thanks for the constructive criticism Kevin, due to feedbacks we can improve Beaver Lake Resort to make every individual stay more pleasant. Just a few answers to your remarks: We would love to be responsible for the road, that way we could maintain it better, but the Municipality of Lake Country is responsible for the bottom part of the road and Regional District of Kelowna for the top part. We had a big wash out this spring due to heavy rain and all Road Maintenance Crews were really busy this spring. This is no excuse for a bad road we know, but we try to encourage both offices to improve the road which will happen in the next few days we got promised. Boats: As stated on our website the Motor boats are 45.00 for 2 hours, which is in our opinion pretty reasonable after comparing to other resorts. Butter: We charge 7.90 for 1 lb. of butter (Lactancia My Country) we buy that very same butter in Superstore for 6.77, so our profit is 1.13, that pays for gas and car maintenance..... Bugs: As much as we wanted to control the Horseflies and mosquitos, we can't. But we still give it a shot with big mosquito magnets that we spread out throughout the resort to get rid of the majority of mosquitoes. If there would be a trap for Horse flies we would give it a try as well.... Limited power: Due to the fact that we are on a watershed and even if we would not be, we would want to preserve our environment, so we invested in solar panels, batteries and inverters to cut the generator run time substantially. Every cabin has at least one plug in that can be used to charge computers, tablets ect. or for breathing machines. No TV, No cell reception: Some people see that as a plus. We installed a Wifi system 3 years ago that covers 90% of the resort, today there are so many apps out there that can be used to make- or receive calls. Cold Water: Our altitude is 4400ft, our lake is considered a mountain lake and lakes up here are just cooler than down in the valley, lots of kids seem to enjoy our little beach and quite a few adults jump in to cool down when it gets too hot, once again the lake water temperature is out of our control. (The cooler the water the better the fishing, sometimes we have to see things positive) Outhouse: We have just 2 rustic cabins, they share that outhouse, we try to keep that outhouse as clean as we can and try to keep the odour down as much as we can, we build that outhouse new 2 years ago and like the look of it but it is still an outhouse.... Community bathroom 1/2km away: Our shower building is approx. 200 meters away from the 2 rustic cabins 4 and 14 which was never an issue so far. Was still great having all your families up here at Beaver Lake Resort and we are really happy that all the children had an awesome time up here, just to finish that comment with a positive note.
