The hotel is very well situated nearby the ski pistes. Personel is ok. The barkeeper is top! Diner is very overall, deserts are really bad. It’s like a big cantine. The hotel in general is old fashioned and rooms are not ok. Eg showercel is completely broken and nobody cares. The hotel is very noisy. At 2 am people are making a lot of noice in front the hotel and nobody from the hotel management staff is reacting. It’s a real shame! Sorry, but I will never come back here!

Service was great and very friendly. Rooms are very huge and clean. We booked with breakfast and dinner for a very fair price. Breakfast has various choices and dinner was great with different dishes. You also can get bikes for free for rides through the fresh air (lots of cows) land side, which is of great sights. Overall very to recommend place to stay and lots of fun even for kids.

We stayed here for a week with friends (12 in total) and must say the Hotel and friendly waitron staff lived up to expectations. We had a regular table booked so no need to wait like other resorts, choice for week pretty good and rooms comfortable and clean. Our group ski'ed so helped to rent in hotel and lessons plus transport all on site or very close by. Great holiday all in all enjoyed by us all

We loved the Hotel, fantastic facilities, playroom for children and a tremendous SPA but yet the hotel is lacking in Austrian etiquette (almost the entirety of the guests are from the neighbouring country) The waitress in the keggelbahn (also from neighbouring country) thought its ok for her to tell us that its too late for our kids. It was our last night on holiday (we made concessions with our children till 10pm). Educate your staff how to treat guests and since they know when people are leaving perhaps more understanding is needed. 10EUR for a tip of a bill of 30+ down the drain

We stayed at an 'owner' apartment which was nicely furnished and done and quite suitable for our family. The common facilities however are a little crowded, and as one reviewer put it: the kids areas are 'survival of the fittest'. I literally saw a mother get her face accidentally whacked by a wet ball while going down the pool. The restaurant and waiters are nice enough at lunch, though one should avoid the poor 'takeaway' frozen pizza. Also woe betide you if you approach the reception and can't speak any German.

We were there during the winter holiday and spent wonderful seven day. Hotel is in the good location in Mitellberg, rooms are good and clean with excelent view on Alps. Food was good, pool and spa are nice. Just few metars from hotel you have free bus for hotel guests which drives you to skies path, and to Obersdorf. Only problem that we have in hotel was that no one of employees do not speak english, only germany. I would like to say that we spent pleasent holiday in this hotel.

Having spent a wonderful but expensive week at a different hotel last year, three families headed back with a total of ten kids and we decided to try the Aparthotel. Hotel rooms were ok but kitchens are very tired; we had no kettle, very basic equipment but they were clean. Swimming pool is ok but starting to get a bit tired but the kids weren't bothered. Location is ok for smaller lifts but accept that the further afield skiing you need to take a bus. Kids play area is best suited to older kids since its unsupervised and gets very crowded so it's generally survival of the fittest. Restaurant is again ok - large, busy and pretty standard food but service of the busy waiters is ok - bolognaise, frozen chicken Kiev, fish finders for kids, etc - but for us, we were almost bankrupted by the policy of refusing to serve tap water. With ten and three sets of parents, buying mineral water when the tap water is perfectly good to drink is crazy from an environmental and cost perspective. A friendly waiter helped us and brought two jugs of tap water but his boss caught him and in front of us told him that he would pay for the water because he "is not free". We did ask to see the manager but that was the manager so overall a disappointing episode given the hard work of the waiters. Generally then, it really is a case of you get what you pay for. Other than the water episode, a totally adequate hotel for a cost effective family ski holiday but if you want to treat yourself and your family, there are better hotels. Would we go back? Yes, but we will consider spending a bit more next year and at least check out other options, yes too.

We have staid for a week with family in the Aparthotel. It is located close to the pistes and has lots of facilities. We enjoyed our stay. Personally I believe that the hotel could use some upgrading of its facilities and improve services such as internet access which were relatively expensive and not always reliable

Good location for cross country ski-ing - loipes start from hotel. Ski hire on premises. Nearest downhill nearby and bus stop very close to hotel. Spacious, clean apartments, friendly staff. Excellent salad, dessert and breakfast buffet. Choice main menu with English translation if requested. For self catering, small supermarket five minutes' walk and excellent pizza bar very close. Decent swimming pool. Restaurant very large and noisy at peak times.

The Aparthotel is a large complex located in the quiet valley of Mittelberg. The hotel is a combination of time share apartments that are also rented to the general public. The type III and IV apartments are spacious with big windows; some have balconies. The staff is very nice and extremely helpful. The hotel has a large restaurant for breakfast and dinner. Breakfast is the standard European type with meusli, fruit, yogurt, breads, boiled eggs, meat and cheese. Dinner had three choices with soup, salad and dessert bar. The dinners were good and the convenience of meals at the hotel made traveling with a family much easier. There is also a take away service for pizza and schnitzel. The hotel has a nice pool, sauna, and sport activity room. Many children used it to burn off that last bit of energy before heading to bed each evening. It is a short walk (150M) to a bus stop that will take you to any of the lifts in the valley. You may even use the bunny slopes to ski your way to the gondola or other valley lifts. Included in the hotel price is a Mittelberg card that may be "charged" with your lift ticket and allows for free transportation and some discounts. The basement has a ski rental area for alpine and cross country skis. Across the street are x-country ski trails and walking trails. We plan to stay again to enjoy the winter activities.
