This is Fahad and Abdullah, And honestly we didn’t like anything about the property except the view was OK but the sand and the sea were very dirty. We arrived on 1 March and could not sleep for even one night because of the insects and the bad air conditioner which was hot and dripping and the bedsheets were not clean and the whole atmosphere was not good to stay that’s why we looked for a better hotel and also there is a bird eating the wooden roof. Further more there are lizards and when we called the reception they said they don’t have such insects in here.
Overall I highly recommend this place. They had a nice view of the sea. the place has some history. which gives it a nice vibe. big garden and a nice restaurant area. Transport to the stone town the attraction point was a bit a hassle for me to be honest. Other than that, the food the staff, and the rooms and the whole place was dope. Everyone was extra friendly to me. I got a free massage at one point was very lovely. There was a nice public beach next to the area a few minutes walk - you will meet the locals around. Very nice experience.
This place is a gem Location is stunning Staff are absolutely wonderful We enjoyed our stay very much indeed If you are looking to relax in the most beautiful of environments look no further Do not expect super rapid service - everything here happens slowly which is part of the whole feel Particularly loved the a la carte breakfasts - best mangoes ever and the coffee was terrific as was the ginger tea which is made from scratch every time.
We would like to thank the management for letting us stay after our check out for almost a whole day and gave us an extra room to change/shower. The hotel is situated at an amazing location with a breath taking view (during high tide). Cozy swimming pools. Forget about the beach. The bay is filled with huge ships. But it looks cool - the ships are colourful! During low tide - not a pleasant view. The beach s not inviting for a swim. Food - terrible. The above reviews are correct. Overpriced and not good at all. Sorry. The Swahili Dinner was a very heavy dinner-mentally. Disco bar - right next to the hotel. If you wanna sleep and not party.. hmm, good luck. Well, if you fall asleep - guy screaming out of the nearby mosque will wake you up at 3am anyway :)). Waited a whole day to have 2 bulbs changed in our room to see smth. We got lot flowers and origami towels in the room, that was sweet, but we would prefer clean towels and clean couchins on sunbeds at the pool. Staff gathers by the entrance for its night breaks too. Thats fine, except a few rooms are with window to the entrance and you can hear everything. Overall, you totally don't get what you pay for, not mentioning the overpriced trips organised by the hotel :) But we had some great weather!!!!…
This is a peaceful lodge off the beaten track and works well for a pre or post Zanzibar trip. If you have 2 nights or 3 where you would like to just unwind in a quiet space I would suggest this lodge. We stayed for one night and truly enjoyed the kindness and hospitality of the team. The rooms are spacious and airy. The property does not have direct access to the beach for long walks but has a variety of pools available for sun bathing. Thank you to the general manager Jagath and his team for taking care of us.
I will forever treasure the warm hospitality, the delicious dinner and cocktails. I’m feeling extreme gratitude reflecting on the incredible evening shared at Chuini Zanzibar Beach Lodge with Jagath, Farida, Aisha and Chef Sheila💛✨ You can be super proud of this dream destination that you have created, Asante sana💛✨
I want to take this moment to thank the entire staff at Zanzibar Palace Ruins, from the security team up to General Manager Jagath Meyn. Ana & I have stayed in many 5 & 7-stars hotels around the world. Whenever we take vacation, we carefully review and measure the level of customer services, as we use this time to really catch up in our day-to-day life goals and also work on pending projects. Without any doubt, this is one of the best resorts we have stayed in the long time based on overall level of customer service. Upon arrival we were immediately & warmly welcomed by the staff and general manager JM, and we were upgraded to PREMIUM ROOM w/ Ocean front. The staff were extremely friendly, the restaurant very flexible (appreciate this!) and we can’t forget to mentioned our morning bartender-guy “ REMMY D.” He’s morning smile, and level of positive energy is out of this world! Every morning we looked forward to see him, and suck all the energy that we need for the rest of the day. He’s definitely a character for any movies. We love him! – He’s a keeper and deserve the HIGHEST level of recommendation. But again, the entire staff there had such a warm personality and they were always highly motivated & willingness to help whenever we needed. We felt we were the only ones there – actually we felt like ROYALS! We truly enjoyed how well you guys kept the property, and walking through the scenery of the resort was beautiful and it was a relieve to walk in such a quiet and peaceful environment and stone-aged. The atmosphere there was so special that it really felt like home to us. All respect and kudos to the entire staff from Security team, ground workers, housekeeping, kitchen staff, customer service (Estella), and the leadership team for job well done during our 13th year anniversary stay there; a true sample of excellent hospitality! Highly recommend this place to anyone, and definitely returning in the near future. I LOVE EVERYONE THERE!!!…
I have never experienced hospitality in all of its definition like I have here. Being able to experience this kind of hospitality, kindness and generousity has made me so grateful Chuini was my destination stay. From complimentary daily massages, room upgrades, staff treating you like family - always ensuring you have the best and are the most comfortable, going the extra mile in making sure you experience all of Zanzibar by just being here as well as personal gifts and treats. A special shout out to Stella (lodge manager) who has always ensured that every request is met and not just met but enjoyed and fully satisfied! Elisha (F&B manager), from the biggest smiles to the best cocktails. Treating us like family and leaving foot prints on our hearts. Zuhra (spa therapist), thank you, thank you, thank you! For being such a blessing daily with all your complimentary massages and kindness! Asante Sane to all the staff at Chuini Beach Lodge who have treated us like family and have blessed us in ways we cannot fully express in words.…
We visited several amazing places in Zanzibar, but Chuini Beach Lodge stood head and shoulders above the rest. The room was like a dream. The restaurant served top quality food. The best of all is the friendly and helpful staff. From the gardener to the barman and the managers - all made us feel like we were the most important people in their lives.
