Wow so happy we found this place. Fab room... very clean with everything we might need during our stay! Staff were very friendly and approachable. Great location, lots of places to eat, nice cooked breakfast with choices, room large enough, elevator, water very hot. 24 hr reception.
We stayed at the eventhotel pyramide for four days and it was just fantastic! The hotel is very stylishly renovated and furnished! Absolutely great design, you immediately feel comfortable. The room is very quiet and the air conditioning is very quiet and effective. The beds are super comfortable, everything is of high quality, from the bath towels to the silk pillowcases. The bathroom a dream to spoil. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The location is perfect and the area safe, even in the evening. Great for shopping and good food. Next time in Vienna we will book this hotel again - just great!
The public areas were nice in appearance. Apart from Habib at the bar, the staff were rude, unhelpful and abrupt. We stayed for 2 days. The first morning, breakfast was served in the Hemingway and was good. The second morning we were treated disgustingly. 100’s of people crammed into a small dining room while the Hemingway remained mostly empty. There were 2 instant coffee machines serving dreadful small Nescafé’s and the queues for them took up the whole of the breakfast period. At one point even one of them stopped working and they blocked guests from using the other dining room’s machine. There were people standing to have their breakfast. And a whole empty dining room next door. The bar was not open to even buy a coffee. Treated like cattle. Our room had a very bad smell, there was a shower in bath and no bath slip mat. My 9 year old almost had a bad accident. Disgusted with the experience…
Strangest hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Lots of rules, for example they won’t let you leave the restaurant with coffee or bring outside food or drink in the hotel. We watch someone have their water bottles confiscated.. The food they serve is terrible and not available at all times even though you are restricted from bringing in your own. The rooms are big but the decorating is weird - strange mix of styles. The bar staff was nice but the majority of staff were rude and obviously didn’t like anybody who primarily spoke English. The location is ok if you came to Austria to go to the mall…. I was surprised to read that they have air-conditioning because we did not have any control of the temperature in our room and it was very hot in October. I can’t imagine staying there in the warm months. Remember you get what you pay for and there’s a reason why this hotel is so cheap.…
Worst hotel I’ve ever been to in my life Awful rooms - super dirty and old Awful wifi - if you live on the ground floor you won’t even have it Awful food - literally didn’t even eat once Awful service!
We were given spacious room, I liked the style how it was decorated. It had nice view. We did not go to breakfast because it was very crowded and the food was scarce. However it has good location, walking distance to the mall and metro.
We have visited this place for at least four times before and expect from this kind of hotel to have a decent restaurant. The restaurant was not available for regular guests but occupied by a football team, like three times before. The only food available was pizza, some snacks or a burger. Unbelievable and unacceptable for a 4--star hotel. Staff was very friendly, rooms are big, breakfast ok but expensive.
Its only 6 weeks since I've returned from Vienna, but it already feels like it is an eternity ago, nonetheless here are my thoughts on the hotel we have stayed in during our Vienna weekend trip. Location - well the easiest to describe where it is - right across the street from SCS (Shopping City Sud). And in front of the hotel there is a generous parking lot that can accommodate easily 100+ cars and 10+ tour buses. So indeed as the name says, it was built to a purpose. Overall being situate just outside of Vienna you have several options to get to the city - cab / uber, train station like 4 min walking from the lobby, or if you arrived with your personal car ... options are there. Room - we went with an agency - room was decent, clean and functional - average from my perspective - even that when we were entering the lobby it was more promising. But we had a good sleep, room was warm - the heating was working and the minibar in the room had beverages so overall nothing to really complain from my perspective - but again not special. A nice feature the inside smoking lounge - that is a nice thing until it lasts - at least for smokers. Breakfast - well, here comes the pain - we were a lot of people at breakfast - and for some reason the options were extremely far from what I am used too when I have breakfast at hotel in Austria. Omelette not enough - and it took too much time till they refilled - just some sausage and salami - none of those very special - fruits, again not too many options. Good thing with fresh pastry and bread - the highlights stop there. Pricing - decent quality to the price ratio. (but don't choose to have breakfast - go over to 1 of the eateries at SCS, for breakfast - my recommendation.) Overall - this is a hotel that suites a purpose - it can be a good option for 1 or 2 nights, I've seen better and I've seen worth - this was just average.…
Bit old, needs a good reno. Beds are so low hard to get in and out of. Didn't like sitting in the bar area to have tea but there was no other option so ended up going across the road to McDonalds. Breakfast options were a bit better.
This is a defunct conference centre mainly shut up and run down. Very limited breakfast. Useless empty pillows. No Wi-Fi in rooms. No kettle tea or coffeemaking, face washers in rooms. Safe doesn't work. Old furniture. Only single beds pushed together. No shampoo and no response from staff. Does have train station and shops 400m away
