Located on the southern outskirts of Vienna and surrounded by idyllic villages nestled in the foothills of the nearby scenic Vienna Woods, merely a stone´s throw away from “the” Austria´s signature shopping plaza, the “SCS” (short for Shopping City Sued), the discerning leisure or business guest enjoys the breathtaking ambiance of the famed Eventhotel Pyramide. Mr. Dujsik, the visionary founder, managed to marry the concepts of an unmatched shopping experience with the stay at a truly unique hotel. The mall, the largest one in all of Central Europe back then, opened its doors in 1976; subsequently, the plaza was expanded to include the Eventhotel Pyramide, spanning a grassland area of 45,000 m² with a huge variety of exotic plants and a water-themed recreational area inside the eponymous 42-meter high pyramid.

Its only 6 weeks since I've returned from Vienna, but it already feels like it is an eternity ago, nonetheless here are my thoughts on the hotel we have stayed in during our Vienna weekend trip. Location - well the easiest to describe where it is - right across the street from SCS (Shopping City Sud). And in front of the hotel there is a generous parking lot that can accommodate easily 100+ cars and 10+ tour buses. So indeed as the name says, it was built to a purpose. Overall being situate just outside of Vienna you have several options to get to the city - cab / uber, train station like 4 min walking from the lobby, or if you arrived with your personal car ... options are there. Room - we went with an agency - room was decent, clean and functional - average from my perspective - even that when we were entering the lobby it was more promising. But we had a good sleep, room was warm - the heating was working and the minibar in the room had beverages so overall nothing to really complain from my perspective - but again not special. A nice feature the inside smoking lounge - that is a nice thing until it lasts - at least for smokers. Breakfast - well, here comes the pain - we were a lot of people at breakfast - and for some reason the options were extremely far from what I am used too when I have breakfast at hotel in Austria. Omelette not enough - and it took too much time till they refilled - just some sausage and salami - none of those very special - fruits, again not too many options. Good thing with fresh pastry and bread - the highlights stop there. Pricing - decent quality to the price ratio. (but don't choose to have breakfast - go over to 1 of the eateries at SCS, for breakfast - my recommendation.) Overall - this is a hotel that suites a purpose - it can be a good option for 1 or 2 nights, I've seen better and I've seen worth - this was just average.

Bit old, needs a good reno. Beds are so low hard to get in and out of. Didn't like sitting in the bar area to have tea but there was no other option so ended up going across the road to McDonalds. Breakfast options were a bit better.

This is a defunct conference centre mainly shut up and run down. Very limited breakfast. Useless empty pillows. No Wi-Fi in rooms. No kettle tea or coffeemaking, face washers in rooms. Safe doesn't work. Old furniture. Only single beds pushed together. No shampoo and no response from staff. Does have train station and shops 400m away

We are so sorry that you got a completely wrong Impression. We are one of the biggest congress centers connected with a 1000 bedded hotel. We have thousands of people coming with us during the year without any complaints. Sometimes mistakes happen, and we are glad for each feedback in order to perfect our service. Thank you and please give us a second chance in order to convince you of our high quality.

It is our first visit to Austria and only our 3rd night in Europe and we are staying at this hotel. I recommend you don't stay here!!! You enter the building and have high expectations because the foyer and ground floor area is beautiful and that is where it ends. The room that we stayed in is so outdated. The decor is from 25 years ago. The amenities in the room are very poor. The aircon doesn't work. The pillows are terrible. There are no kitchen/mini bar facilities other than 2 glasses. No tea. No coffee. No sugar. No kettle. No nothing!!! We requested a double bed and got 2 singles and there is a fold out camp bed set up in the room in case we have an unexpected guest !!! I wish I could use a few emoji to express my feelings right now! These people rely on tips for their service but I actually think they don't deserve any at all. You actually feel like you are inconveniencing them by ordering something. So to top it all off ,because there isn't anything in the room to make a cuppa, we brought our own tea bags and cups to the bar area to ask for hot water and got charged 2 euros for it....!!! What the even?!!!! Most ridiculous thing I have ever heard!!! Seriously. I only give real reviews. I don't only give bad reviews. If a good review is deserved I give it but if a bad review is deserved, I am sorry but this is what you get.

I have been in this place last year for three days business trip. The prices may he a bit high but I the accomodation was excellent. The rooms are big, luxurious and quiet, the staff is also nice and the food is great. Maybe not the best view outside , but I did not care.
