The nicest surprice. The place is a hidden gem:-) It’s located at the tip of Senja, with the north sea just outside. The hotel is very nice and the staff really friendly. The room was nice and clean and breakfast complimentary .

We had a private suite on the 2nd floor—perfect view, great kitchen, etc. In the bedroom, beds were separate as 2 single beds - a little strange:). Food was excellent even perfect. The personnel was very friendly and service-oriented. Also very good communication from the hotel with me before arriving - reminders, offers, etc. In the summary very good!

Plus: Amazing location and nice atmosphere, friendly staff Minus: no breakfast before 8 am and very crowded at small buffet area. Dinner menu not inspicering, the lunch menu was much more diverse and interesting (other alternatives to the sligtly boring Norwegian cuisine)

Be careful! They don't say this on their website, but they will sell one room from your apartment to other people! We booked a suite and were shocked when coming back from dinner that there were other people in our apartment! They did not give us any pre-warning that we should lock our inner doors to other rooms as there are other people coming in the same apartment. We don't know if they visited our rooms or even stole something as our doors were not locked within the apartment. No apologies or discount received even though we don't now dare to use one bedroom opposite to theirs in the corridor. The other bedroom is luckily connected to our living room and kitchen only, so our son now needs to sleep on the coach. Suite is also really warm in the summer, and you can't control the air conditioning by yourself. Views are amazing, and the food in the restaurant delicious so it is really a shame that they don't think it through and ruin everything by this kind of huge mistake touching one's privacy.

Place is magical. Clean, unique, luxurious, great staff, great food. Our room was wonderful, with a magnificent view of the ocean and mountains. The resort is a super place to stroll around and enjoy the Mid-Night Sun (we stayed in June). I cannot imagine staying anywhere else on Senja.

Great location. Nice hotel with multiple buildings/room types. Stayed in a second level Aurora room, highly recommend (cool architecture and amazing views over the water). Good on site restaurant. Hotel organizes a variety of tours as well.

We will do our outmost to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. This is what you are getting by mail when you get your booking confirmation. However, this is the worst service in a hotel I have received during my world wide traveling. For example they are not able to serve a coffee during the daytime, even though there is crew around. No lunch offering.

The resort so insane ! I was requested to upgrade my room to studio type with kitchenette, and they done it for me very quickly and efficiently. I like their spacious terrace where you can relax your mind with a cup of coffee! I was told there is no grocery shop nearby and if we want to have dinner in their restaurant need to book in advance. However, we bought our food from tromso and have a small cook inside the studio. I like it so muchhhhh!!!! Especially I’ve experienced their outdoor hot tub during 0’C !!! This is something I couldn’t forget, so insane.

Recommendation is to avoid at all costs. My wife and I (both in our 60s) had booked a couple of months in advance for a two night stay during a road trip of Norway. The promise of an idyllic, comfortable stay in a remote part of the Norway coast sounded too good to be true. BUT: 1) when we arrived we were told we couldn't eat dinner at the hotel and would need to drive along a winding coastal road under construction to the nearest town (a round trip of 50 minutes) if we wanted dinner. Reason was that they had booked in a large wedding group and consequently the restaurant was closed as they didn't have the staff to cater for other guests! We had not been given any prewarning of this. 2) After much unpleasant haggling, they reluctantly agreed we could eat an early dinner in the restaurant with the five other unhappy couples who had arrived and who were also told that they couldn't eat dinner at the hotel. The expectation was that we would at least be able to enjoy a nice quiet dinner albeit a lot earlier than we would normally eat. 3) What we hadn't been told, was that dinner would be in the same space and at the same time as the "pre-wedding" dinner that evening. What followed at dinner, after we had been sat for 30 minutes, were non-stop raucous Norwegian speeches (which we couldn't understand) with associated raucous responses from the guests. Service for the non-wedding guests dropped away completely as the waiters focused on the large wedding party. 4) After 30 minutes of the ongoing raucous speeches, during which my wife and I couldn't hold a discussion, we had had enough and cut short our dinner. 5) We couldn't get the bill (as the non-wedding guests were not being served at that time) and so went to the front desk where we were told the other non-wedding guests were also very unhappy. The restaurant manager reiterated that the hotel just did not have the resources to serve the wedding party and other guests. We were also told that the following evening (our second booked night) was the wedding reception proper with a live band. Given they had admitted they didn't have the resources to cater for us and that there was going to be a loud live band the following evening, we decided on the spot to check out as soon as possible the following morning (it was too late to leave that evening). Although the reception staff and restaurant manager were apologetic, they restated that the hotel just did not have the required resources. The invisible "management" told reception over the phone the following morning that they did not care about the lack of service and our dreadful experience and that we had to pay the full bill for the dinner and the room before we left.

Hi! I would like to clarify a few things about what you wrote after I ran a small investigation on what happened during your staying. During the check in you were given the necessary information about the room whereabouts, the facilities in the room, how to book dinner and what was included in your reservation. Since you complained during check-out about the cleanliness of your rooms, I personally went to check your room before housekeeping moved in, and I could not find the dirtiness you talked about: the room was still perfectly cleaned even though you had lived in it. During your staying because there was a lot of run-off due to heavy rain, the water was not drinkable since some soil went into the water. The municipality provided us with drinking water that we delivered to all our guests that were informed accordingly as soon as we received the above mention notification from the town hall. You asked to talk to me, and your were given a time by the reception since I was not available when you asked, but you never showed up. We are really sorry that you did not have a nice stay, but many of the things you wrote here are actually not responding to the reality of the facts, and it could have been much easier if we could have had a talk during your time with us.
