An example of how NOT to run a guest friendly hotel in these post pandemic times. We all appreciate how hard the pandemic has been on the hotel industry and how many have had to shut and customers have been forced to rearrange their holidays but this has been the only hotel I have experienced who have refused to be flexible. We actually bought for a significant sum a voucher for a stay at this hotel in a charity auction back in 2020. It could not be used due to the pandemic so hotel extended the voucher to end June 2021 . We booked again, this time to arrive on 28th June 2021 only for my wife to find she had covid when we were doing our pre flight tests. We advised the hotel immediately of this so they had several days notices before we were due to arrive that we needed too postpone again. Despite this, when we have tried to rebook they have just flatly refused to honour the voucher. Several pleas made by us and the charity have had no effect. Flat refusal. I imagine this is a lovely place to stay but we will never know. In the circumstances, would it really have hurt them to honour this voucher? A lesson in how not to behave when you are ion the hospitality industry!!…
This hotel is a true gem. The rooms and spaces have been designed with every conceivable thought and pleasure for the guest. The staff are efficient and helpful and the whole experience was welcoming and reassuring. I asked for a south facing terrace which was not possible with the hotel design but instead was offered an upgrade to a sky suite which was magical. The spa like bathroom, plunge pool in an interior garden and a terrace with a real fire was truly amazing and something I have not experienced before even having travelled widely and to some of the most exclusive resorts in the world. I cannot understand any of the negative reviews. They even opened the spa spa early just so that I could enjoy my hour’s swim before breakfast. Unbelievable customer service. The breakfast was fabulous with amazing views. The complimentary bottle of wine, flowers and gift of local honey are the details which elevate this hotel experience beyond the majority.…
The hotel is good but to be 5 stars needs some improvement: Room cleaning - My first impression when I entered to the room that was not so clean. Old carpet, curtain looked grimy as well as the sofa. Bathtub didn’t seem to have a deep clean. In the bathroom there was a cobweb. Reception - I stayed at Six Senses Douro Valley which the services provided were impeccable, and I’ve got surprised by the reception on welcome arrival that was totally different, Nobody at the hotel’s door to welcome you, there is no valet and the bags is unloaded by yourself. The receptivity by the front desk is nice. Wine experience - from 4 pm to 5 pm there is a wine experience, this was really good. Restaurant - this is the best. I had a dinner and breakfast, the food was extremely fantastic nothing to say, was really good.…
This is exclusive vine and spa resort, 100 km from Lisbon. The hotel is easily accessible by highway. All resort is a villa type. I had 120 km, two bedroom villa. In front of the entrance is a fireplace and an outdoor rainy shower.I was welcomed by a bottle of Alentejo wine tinto labeled with my name. Minimalist and contemporary design. Bed sheet are change every day. There is second turn down in the evening but of 3 night I had only once! Cleanliness is poor in the villa, even many ants can be found. A decay with age is visible. Outside pool is nice, clean a and safe. A plenty of towels and bottle of water ( still and sparking) are free of charge. Indoor pool has warm water but a lot of cobwebs on deck chairs are visible. Breakfast is very good,it can be served in or outside. Many food station including Portuguese cheese and locally grown organic vegetable..rest you need to order a la cart..like all types of eggs. Nice fresh orange juice. There are Champagne if you want a glass before breakfast. After all very peaceful escape.…

10/10 I particularly appreciated the kindness of the employees and the perfect service. The restaurant is really good and the environment so peaceful.Design and decoration on point. I will come back for sure
L'and and Vineyars is a dreamlocation to find absolute rest in the middle of an unspoild nature. The staff is extremely helpfull, and no effort is too much to give a good feeling to the guests. The warm welcome at your arrival, the bottle of wine in your room and last but not least, the open fire each night at your room, complete it. your day can't better start, than with a delicious breakfast served by lovely Sara!!!
We read about this amazing place on one of our favourite blogs recently and decided to take a break from the Algarve for a night and book in. We chose the package that included the tasting menu and the whole visit was an exceptional experience. The pool is beautiful, the architecture and interiors breathtaking, the beds, so comfortable and the service, faultless. The only thing I thought needed improvement was the Wi-Fi access, but who needs Wi-Fi when you are in decompress mode. I can’t wait to visit again and strongly recommend that you book your visit today.
Went for a 3 night stay in August this year. Absolutely loved every minute - really peaceful spot and appreciated how much care over Covid measures they took. If you go you must do the wine tasting - the oenologist is so charismatic and enjoyable and it was the highlight of our stay. Lovely and helpful reception team also. Highly recommend
Beautifully designed with a clean, modern and minimalistic features throughout the hotel lobby, pool and suites. Service was fantastic with many added features and activities available, such as wine tasting, room turn-downs and fire starting service for late evening fireside wine. Included breakfast was also delicious and a wide range of options. Overall a fantastic trip.
