Great hotel in a beautiful area
We spent 3 nights here in mid-September. Usually, we stay at Airbnb's, but for this part of our trip I chose to stay in a hotel. The Gran Ciasa was a good choice. We reserved a basic room for 2 and the room was spacious.. Lots of light and air through the windows and balcony door. The bathroom was also spacious with separate tub and small shower. The water pressure in the shower was about the best I've ever had. The windows and balcony door had power shutters that closed off light and most sound at night. We did not eat dinner at the hotel while here, but we did eat breakfast there all 3 mornings. Buffet style and some excellent choices. A very large variety of foods to choose from and all were very good. There is a nice lobby area to sit and relax as well as a bar with indoor and outdoor seating. The staff was friendly and helpful. We would stay here again if we come back.

Great hotel in Alta Badia with good food, wonderful spa with pool, several saunas and out door jacuzzi. Fresh modern rooms. This hotel is familiar and modern. Ski slopes of Sellaronda are just ~150 meters away.

We were recommended to this hotel by some friends who are frequent visitors to Colfosco. We were charmed from the moment we walked in to a very warm welcome from Sara on Reception. We booked Room 312 which is a corner room with a big comfy bed, views, a seating area and well equipped bathroom. We had booked half board and were glad we did as the food at breakfast and the evenings is excellent with lots of choice to suit all tastes. The friends we were traveling with had booked another hotel which they hated when they booked in and Sara came to the rescue by finding them an apartment in their sister property just up the road. There is a boot room downstairs for storing ski equipment which was useful. The wellness area is gorgeous with a great pool and whirlpool inside and a fantastic outdoor whirlpool which we used in the snow. Bliss. I had a massage which was one of the best I have ever heard. Paola and Charlie run the hotel extremely well which is reflected in the superb staff, food, faculties and friendliness in every area. Lastly the hotel is well situated for the slopes as well as visiting Corvara and San Cassiano nearby. Only one niggle - the wifi was sometimes intermittent in our room. We are all ready to book our ski trip for next year to stay at the wonderful hotel.

It has been a pleasure spending a week at this accommodation. The location is quite good, 1 min walk front the main door. Spa is one of the largest I have ever been. Food every day the chef showed as the Italian food with a new dish. From this old coffee machine you will have the best coffee ever. I will come back next year. Everything was perfect.

We went for a week of skiing. The hotel is not ski in ski out but is right across the street from the slopes, a few steps to grocery shop and ski hire shop. Very convenient! Our room was wonderful, had a mini fridge and a nice balcony. The food and service was excellent . A beautifully indoor swimming pool for non skiers or after ski, sauna, whirlpool wonderful facilities. Would highly recommend and will stay there next time we go.

We are not new in the area, but Hotel Gran Ciasa was a great surprise. Luxury with style and a home touch. All areas are super cozy: from the spacious bedroom with a great view, to the common areas like dining room and entrance. Top ski room with individual lockers... the best I came across so far. The SPA and the massage service are simply amazing... watching the sunset in the outdoor pool goes the extra mile. And don’t miss the yoga lessons in the morning in the great relaxing room. Breakfast and dinner are top quality, with lots of options and always interesting combinations. Last, but maybe most important, words are for the staff: AMAZING, everyone. We really felt in paradise and at home at the same time. Can’t wait to be back.

We booked a suite (53 square meter) in June for 4 days and this was beyond expectation. Wonderful architectural details, two excellent bathrooms, a balcony with a superb view on the opposite Sella massive, spacious rooms. Staff was friendly and helpful and meals were excellent, without exception. Wellness and sauna were great. We loved every minute in this superb hotel. What more do you want?? We just could afford to book this hotel in June, unfortunately prices in wintertime are beyond our means.

Very not very hotel. Homey, clean, great pool and spa. Location perfect. Beds excellent. We asked for room next to our kids and they did not accommodate despite reserving 8 months in advance of stay. Food good for breakfast buffet. Dinner buffet not good for finicky kids. Bar has great alacarte
