My husband and I stayed here for one night during our trip to north coast 500. The place is very well looked by the owners - Lynne and Weylend - who have modified an old office to their lovely home and then a BnB. The owners are very friendly and helpful couple. Lynne even made dinner reservations for us. The... More

Stayed for one night in the annex which is virtually self catering accommodation. Nicely appointed, spotlessly clean, very comfy bed and lovely big walk in shower. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice. Hosts were friendly and interesting to talk to. Would not hesitate to recommend this b & b.

Really well looked after by the owners - Lynne and Weylend -who have created a lovely guest house from the original post office. Great to have a healthy breakfast of fresh fruit and salmon instead of the usual fry up- although that looked just as tasty! Gardens look amazing, up on business but would definitely return for a leisure break!

The room was very tidy, friendly staff, beautiful garden. There were DVDs to borrow, even a fuit platter. The breakfast was delicious. The village is small but a good place to stay for a day trip to the Orkneys.

Lynne runs this beautiful place with passion. This is reflected in the beautiful garden (currently being expanded), the cosy rooms and the superb breakfast. It comes with no surprise that she knew exactly when we needed to come for breakfast to be able to catch the ferry for the Orkney day trip! The only drawback is that you need the... More

The Auld Post Office is an example to others about the standard that can be achieved as a B&B. The quality of the fittings, facilities and service that are provided are first class. I have no hesitation in recommending this accommodation

We were made to feel most welcome and Lynne arranged for us to eat locally which was superb. We had a fantastic and comfortable night and we would recommend the Auld Post Office to anyone looking for a nice relaxing getaway.

Originally booked into the auld post office for one night as we were touring Scotland. However, when we arrived and were shown our accommodation ( the self contained bungalow) we were so impressed we extended our stay to 3 nights. Lynn and waylan are the perfect hosts and went out of their way to make us welcome ( even booking... More

Stayed for 3 nights and had a fantastic time. The room was very clean with a view of the garden. The hosts Lynne and Weyland could not be bettered and treated us to a gin tasting one evening after we returned from dinner. Breakfast was excellent and set us up for some nice cliff top walks.

Stayed here for two nights while en route to Orkney. An excellent choice as it's only twenty minutes to Scrabster. We stayed in the separate self contained cottage which has all the things one would need. Ideal for a self catering holiday, if that's possible. Very nicely furnished and clean. Breakfast in the main house was gorgeous, very high quality food... More
