Where to begin... My husband and I took our first vacation in the mountains this past weekend at Hotellerie de Mascognaz and we had an incredible experience! A SPECIAL thank you to Giuseppe and Laura for their exceptional restaurant service. It's amazing to see young, passionate staff members who go above and beyond to make the guests happy. Everything was perfection, from the cozy room to the top notch service and the breathtaking surroundings! It felt as if we were in a secluded mountain village with all the comforts we could ask for. We also traveled with our English Bulldog, Rocco, and he had the best time! The staff and hotel are extremely pet friendly and we found everyone to be extremely respectful, friendly, and available. We will surely be back soon!

We are a group of friends who first met 25 years ago, and have to make a real effort to see each other ... this hotel, its setting, amenities and quality really made it a pleasure this year. We were accommodated in two apartments (sleeping 5 and 3) and had a nice living area in one. The pool / spa was great to relax and unwind. The restaurant had fine food and wine and everybody was polite, quite and helpful .. a thoroughly professional hotel.

Beautiful hotel in a stunning and peaceful location with kind and attentive staff. From the skidoo ride up from the carpark (which was magical) to the delicious dinner menus, it was all perfect. Very relaxed and calm, with really lovely staff who were attentive without being at all obtrusive. We stayed in the adjoining (family) rooms at the top of Chalet Etre and they were charming and comfortable. Breakfasts (in Chalet Etre) were excellent and abundant. Dinners were mainly in Chalet Lo Miete and the abundant mountain cheeses and meats during aperitifs were much enjoyed. The dinner menus were interesting and dishes were superbly presented and really scrumptious. The travel to and from Mascognaz to the Monterosa ski area was by skidoo then 4x4 - it sounds cumbersome but the staff were great and it was all organised very efficiently. We had an excellent stay at Mascognaz, thank you.

We visited in January 2019 with high hopes of a unique experience and it was certainly that. Wonderful concept and could have been a unique holiday. However, the room we were allocated was tiny and cramped and being situated within the spa block - while it sounds nice - meant the communal areas were unusable as they stank of chlorine. The food was the worst we have ever experienced in 20 years visiting the Alps. Even the breakfasts were horrible with limited choice, and food recycled day after day. Walking at night in crampons to access dinner in the restaurant area was exciting but would have been very unpleasant in a blizzard. Although we knew this in advance, the ski access is terrible and you spend about 30 min getting to the slopes. Complaints about the food were met with hostility by the very unfriendly hotel manageress. We should be fair and say that the location and main sitting areas are lovely and - if managed well - this could be a wonderful place. The drivers in particular were friendly and all all you could ask for. But the place as a whole has a long way to go and cannot currently be recommended.

this hotel is a total must visit quirky, with a good standard of amenities spa is lovely, the staff are extremely accommodating and polite especially the drivers who work exceptionally hard , very clean although a weekend for most people would be enough as there is not much to do in the town unless you ski/hike or mountain biking if i wanted to be picky there are a few minor details but for a mountain retreat they cope well. The breakfast was basic and cold and they didn't serve english breakfast tea at all, there is not enough water in the rooms if any for drinking , dinner was acceptable very much same every day , lunch were very good, no coffee or tea facilities in rooms and if you wanted a drink its quite a walk from spa side, not for inactive people as quite a lot of walking to rooms etc . i would recommend this hotel for the experience my comments are very picky but i am well travelled and would return as the experience out ways the minor faults stunning scenery / stunning views well maintained and the skidoo ride is surreal

We had a meal in the restaurant here, food was excellent quality but the thing that really makes this place is the location and the snow cat ride up to it. Totally amazing evening, in a fabulous setting. Service was excellent too.

The location is sublime. The skidoo access adds Bond style appeal - which outweighs occasional inconvenience. The rooms are alpine rustic chic. People are vivacious, friendly, helpful. Food excellent. Ski field is v good but needs investment on access gondola - evidently coming. Our second visit. It’s as good as Alpine gets.

The Hotellerie is an extraordinary place on earth: a super-cozy, super-charming and truly authentic mountain village on the Italian Alps that offers all the comforts of a four-star hotel, including delicious cuisine, wonderful complimentary mid-afternoon desserts and evening tartines for your aperitivo. Look at the stars shining on the Monte Rosa glacier in the breathtaking silence of the night. Listen to the bells of the cows pasturing right across a creek and a little waterfall. The experience is unique, joyful, peaceful, relaxing, romantic. The Hotellerie is also a perfect base for summer hiking and great passeggiate. The staff is most pleasant and professional, and knows how to make you feel special. We've been there in the past two summers and we look forward to going back next year.

My family stayed and attended a 150+ guest wedding at the hotel and our stay could not be more magical! The chalets are beautiful and clean, each with its own magnificent view and character. Breakfasts and dinners were superb! The freshly baked chocolate croissant is a personal favorite as well as the delicious cappuccinos, made to order. The dinner menu was crafted beautifully, offered with wine pairing especially made by the sommelier for the hotel incorporating flavors of the local area. Everything in this hotel has its own charm, character, and above all the attentiveness of the staff (especially Ivan!) made our stay very very special. We will be talking about our experience here for years to come!
