Small but varied menu which proved plentiful and delicious. The service was friendly and helpful and surroundings pleasant. It was very reasonably priced with excellent flavour in both our meals. We will be returning.

I booked this hotel as we were a rather large group (10+) of friends who were attending an event nearby. The pub itself does not look that impressive from the outside but is warm and friendly on the inside. Check in is at the bar (don't wander around the place like me looking for a front desk, there isn't one)... More

After a trip down to Dungeness from Hythe on the Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch Railway, our arrival back at New Romney saw my group of four hungry and a little cold! Rather than use the station cafeteria we decided to walk the 10 minutes or so to the town centre, where we had been told that we would find the... More

OK. Caught in two minds about The Ship Hotel. You have to read all of this to get a good overview of why The Ship could be a good destination for hotel customers. We pulled up in the car park and my other half said "This isn't it - is it??!" I had a strong urge to just drive away... More

We had the most fantastic carvary here for Mother's Day. The staff were polite and helpful and the food amazing. We were glad we booked as it was full to bursting and I'm surprised they managed to fit so many ppl in.

Venue very nice. Staff not helpful or friendly though! Sunday cavery overpriced. I had roast lamb but was full of grisly, unable to eat most of the meat. My husband had the beef but the three slices were so small. The carver should have added more meat free of charge. We asked for the dessert board, which was promptly delivered... More

Good Pub Hotel, friendly greeting, helpful staff, very clean (but small) bedroom, great value pub meals. There is some noise from the street but this is a high street pub so it's to be expected. Would use again if in the area.

Went for Mothers Day meal, the food was average, service good. My main criticism is the fact the man carving the meat used the same knives for each meat. I only eat white meat and was not impressed. More variety needed on vegetables would be a good idea.
