Poor staff makes this overpriced soulless place a nightmare to visit, better beer, staff and prices for a start, or failing that a bulldozer. Have heard the food is good on occasions but there are many better places within a short stroll.
Popped in for a couple of pints. The beer, Masterbrew, was fine but the hotel was very cold. There were two fireplaces but no fires lit and the heating radiators were cold. It was too cold to stay for a second pint.
My parents anniversary today and had a nice bit of food here, we had some lovely burgers, and egg, chips and ham which were the best I’ve had. The food was lovely and so were the staff, Staff were nice and nice to talk to. Food: 5/5 Staff: 5/5 Bar: 5/5
This is an old, charming and characterful building. Our room was really clean and comfortable. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The pub downstairs had a really good atmosphere. Breakfast was good quality food and arrived at the table piping hot. Very enjoyable. If I had to…
Very very friendly staff, large portions of food, be careful with fried foods thou as they are on the greasy side, very clean and not expensive, decent sized menu not to many confusing options and will return in the future
"Mind your head under the low beams!"
"Just ask the staff they will guide you"
"My room was lovely and heard other guest saying the same"
"Go elsewhere- staff can’t be bothered to provide the basics"
"Avoid- no soundproofing"
