With its little but refreshing pool in front of the Pacific ocean, El Belga Loco is a little and quiet hostal directly on the beach of Las Peñitas, close to the colonial city of Leon, Nicaragua. Each of the 7 rooms has fans, mosquito nets and a private bathroom equipped with a shower. Rest areas such as couch and tv inside the main building, but also hammocks and lounge chairs on the terrace give you the unique opportunity to relax after surfing or hiking and to cool off after visiting Leon. Drinks and snacks are available all day and breakfast is also possible. El Belga Loco provides you with WIFI throughout the property and free parking. EL Belga Loco is meant to be a "quiet, private and exclusive" place...and for this reason the access is limited to "guests only" and no children aged less than 10.

I stayed ten days in El Belga Loco and enjoyed everything. The room was nice with everything you need and the bed was very comfortable. Although the rooms are in the back I slept every night very well listening to the sounds of the waves. The common area with a pool and some hammocks is a pleasant place to hang around and relax. Everything is very clean. It is a bit outside from the center and most of the restaurants (but there are some very good restaurants close to the hotel). And to be away means on the other hand, you have the whole beautiful beach on your own and it is very nice and clean (compared to other parts of the beach). When you like it quiet its a perfect place. Unfortunately it is a bit diffucult to swim there (especially at high tide). But they have good bikes for free , so you can always easily reach all places around. The people in the hotel were all very friendly and helpful and organized everything I needed immediately. Thank you for the nice time, I hope I´ll come back one day.…

Their staff is pretty amazing specially Gustavo, the owner Silvana warmly welcomes you! The hostal is beautiful, clean and comfortable rooms and common spaces. We love it there! I Highly recommend this place! Close to good restaurants. The zone is quite and secure

Very peaceful, clean and spacious room with ice air conditioning and inches to ⛱️ beach, swimming 🏊♀️ pool, pool table,maca and excellent service also delicious food yummy food. We had such a wonderful time with our stay. The rooms were clean, the staff was friendly and the owners were very helpful, they offered great suggestions on where to eat and which tours to take and even helped make the arrangements. My husband and I work online and had no problems with the internet. There was even internet in the rooms which is unusual in Nicaragua so we were very happy with our stay! Highly recommend!

I checked out all of the hotels / hostels in Las Penitas. I found this to be the best value; Clean, bright and spacious rooms for a fair price. Comfy bed, 2 fans, and great water pressure in the shower. The terrace and pool area are stylish and spacious. The stretch of beach it is on is super clean, and is tranquil as it is doest have bars and noisy restaurants right beside it like many of the other accommodations do. there is a multitude of seating options on the terrace including 4 hammocks, a couch and countless intimate shaded and / or sunny seating spots. The mojitos are delicious and finally; many establishments here play unnecessarily loud music which isn't peaceful.......El Belga played great music that wasn't loud at all, which is perfect, so you can still hear the waves Sylvana and her husband are the perfect hosts And if you're a dog lover.....they have two amazing, well behaved dogs to play with I give El Belga Loco top marks and highly recommend…

I stayed here for 4 nights and had a great time. The personnel working here are fantastic and provide great service. The space is very comfortable and relaxing. Tours and day trips around NW Nica are also available at a reasonable price. All in all would highly recommend anyone to stay here.

Once you get through the gate, a true gem awaits hidden in idyllic Las Peñitas. The room, the service, the food and drinks are all wonderful and very reasonably priced. Fantastic shaded hammocks poolside and “swings” under a Palapa with views of the amazing sunsets complete a beautifully thought out and executed property. Heartfelt thanks to Silvana the owner and to Gustavo who looked after me impeccably during my one week stay. Les quiero!

We stayed here for 5 nights, longest period we spend in Nicaragua at 1 place. The environment of Belga Loco is amazing! Wide empty beaches where you can swim of surf in the ocean. The hotel is right at the beach, I mean we had breakfast at the bar on the beach every morning. Great way to start the day is you ask me. The accommodation has everything you need, big space, good bed and en-suite bathroom, they even have lockers for valuables. That was a first for us. The staff is great, Gustavo helped us understand Spanish very well and hopefully he could understand our sort of Spanish too He even arranged a discount for us by booking directly via them instead of using Booking. Great service. You can order food there and get it delivered from a few nearby restaurants. Other restaurant were all nearby, max 1.5km away. I really recommend staying here and enjoy the environment and atmosphere of Las Penitas …

We stayed three days in El Belga Loco. Very nice place: tidy, clean, good food. The staff are very kind and helpfull. Good location at the beach and some very good restaurants in the neighbourhood. Beautiful garden with a swimming pool. I do recommend the place!

We stayed 3 nights here and enjoyed the location directly at the beach, the pool, the big and clean room and espeyially the super friendly staff! We could use the bikes to get around and they also served drinks and snacks.
