We travelled with our two boys (6&8) and stayed in room 12. This was the perfect room with children as the pool was right on our doorstep, we could watch them from our verandah without having to pack everything up and head to the pool. The kids also loved the small creek that runs through the property, always stopping to spot the fish. The night markets are so close. Having access to the guest lounge on the day you vacate also is a huge plus, we didn't fly out until 9pm so could still have a full day then come back to the guest lounge to shower, repack etc. The staff were all incredibly friendly and accommodating.
How can I describe my idea of paradise. The location, the view, the beach, the facilities, the comfort, the cleanliness, the self contained units, the grounds, the pool, the service, the friendliness and efficiency of the staff. EXCELLENT TO ALL THE ABOVE. This was our 4th visit to the Cook Islands. We have stayed in 5 star and 4star hotels and then we found the Muri Beachcomber by accident and this visit was our second visit. Why look further. Beach literally on your doorstep. Breakfast, kayaks, paddle boards, bikes, masks and snorkels, wifi, airport transfers complimentary. Night food market right next door, small restaurants and grocery stores within walking distance, the best croissants on the island from the bakery across the road, the best coffee and breakfast if you want to treat yourselves 100 metres along the road and the bus stop at the end of the drive. No bar, no nightclub, no tennis courts, no sweaty gym, just the beauty of the lagoon and nature, the luxury of no stress, of a do as much or as little as you want. A laid back perfect holiday stay. How thanks to the all the wonderful staff and special thanks to Shelley.…
We stayed in Room 19. Great view of the lagoon and close to all amenities. Rarotonga is gearing up again after a long period of lock down o/a Covid 19 and so while the people are wonderful and the hosting 1st Class everyone is under a little pressure o/a low staff availability. The team at Muri Beachcomber were most welcoming and accommodating of our requirements. I would definitely stay again. It was so nice winding down in that environment.
Such a lovely place to stay. Location of accommodation is in the prime Muri location. Night markets at the end of driveway. Beachfront units all with sea views. 3 closest to water have best views. The units were spacious with separate bedroom. Kayaks, paddleboards, mask and snorkels, bikes available to use complimentary. Also transfers from airport were included. There was a guest laundry on site for visitors use. The best part of our stay at Muri Beachcomber was the staff. They are all so welcoming and friendly - gardener has been there for 17 years so that says something in itself!! Nothing is a problem to all staff, happy to crack open coconuts for you, make dinner recommendations, you name it. A great stay, cant recommend them highly enough
Everything about the Muri Beachcomber is awesome, location, beach assess, self contained units, facilities, staff, pool, guest laundry. The night markets are literally right next door 4 nights a week & the food is great & cheap. Highly recommend to all.
We had the pleasure of stayed in unit 4 which is 4 back from the beach. It offers a decent view of the sea and a meticulously maintained garden area. The room was well appointed extremely clean and had nice additional touches to acknowledge our daughters birthday. Office staff, grounds and cleaning staff can not be faulted. All were friendly and went out of there way to ensure guests had a great time and access to any required information. The office staff organised many of our activities and made extending our stay easy. They were always friendly and approachable. The grounds staff/gardener always had a sincere welcoming smile and the cleaning staff are just lovely and do a great job. After a neighbouring guest left, I saw the extent of the clean that takes place, they are fantastic. The deck facing the sea provides access to a 180 degree view of the beach and islands opposite. We ate breakfast there and had evening drinks on multiple occasions. Watching the sunrise snuggled in a bean bag with a cuppa was a definite highlight. The night market is right next door, which I thought might be intrusive, however it was not. However it was extreme handy for a tasty dinner. Also Muri Beachcomber is close to some of the larger resorts with restaurants where meals can be booked in advance and where happy hour can be enjoyed (numerous times). We booked massages with Zeb who comes to the resort, definitely recommended. We can’t wait to head back There are lots of activities neighbouring the property including snorkeling trips which are heralded by drums on a daily basis, which add to the fun. I’ve added a few pics but others have added far better ones than I. The first 5 and the last pic are from around the resort 6&7 of the adjacent island 8 an example of a night market meal Note there is an island opposite Muri beachcomber that can be accessed by kayak or you can just walk across (from further down the beach).…
Couldn't fault Muri Beachcomber. It was a wonderful place to stay, the position, the staff, the accommodation were all top notch. We would definitely book again when we return to the Cook Islands. A resort that would be very hard to beat. Erin & Ken
We spent a few nights here and the staff here were very helpful. The location is right in the middle of Muri beach so you get a great view of the lagoon. The rooms were nice. The free airport shuttle was a fantastic offering and made the end of our trip stress-free
Muri Beachcomber is in the best location with a gorgeous beach right in front, mini- mart with everything you need at the end of the drive way. The incredible Mooring Fish Cafe is opposite - go there for lunch it's so good. The sailing club is 50m down the beach for great meals, drinks and live band. There are 3 resorts within 5 mins walk along the beach for a nice meal out. The villas at Beachcomber are perfect size with separate bedroom and good kitchen. You get breakfast of cereal and toast each day. There's a BBQ in front of each villa if you want to cook dinner rather than go out. The lagoon cruises are also right next door AND kite surfing and wing boarding school. There's also SUP and kayaks to take out into the lagoon. The Muri night food markets are next door Definitely coming back. …
AWESOME. Might not be the most expensive accommodation on the beach but it easily has the best views with most of the rooms being beach front unlike the other hotels. Plenty of space and the option to fire your own barbie up. Nice pool but you will always be down on the beach as you can access it from your rooms. Close to lots of restaurants.
