Due to the peak season, we can just booked for "outdoor bath (SPA) special room" (露天浴池(溫泉)特別室 ) - expensive - quite aged hotel - the balcony was built a bit high if you were in onsen or sit to view Mt. Fuji + massage chair + Rooms were spectacular. my room is bigger than most in Fujikawaguchiko, (with dining room,...

WOW, this view. From the onsen, from the room, and from the very picturesque (think old Japanese bonsai trees) garden in the back, the view of Fuji is STUNNING. Our room was very cute and dinner was fantastic (and my partner and I love ryokans and have stayed at many). Not sure what people are talking about with food being...

The hotel was in a perfect location for viewing Mt. Fuji. We were able to just lay in our Tatami bed to wait for the sunrise. There was no need to wait outside in the cold. It was a blessing to just walk out to the lake and take in the view while the kids were sleeping. Adults can enjoy...

My hubby and I visited Shuhokaku on 17 Dec and stayed a night. We booked a Japanese style room with outdoor bath. We got a huge room with 3 parts to it, one was the dining / living / futon area, one was the shower and a private outdoor bath area and the last was the toilet. We were already...

A friend recommended this place as I was in a hurry to book a ryokan in the Mr.Fuji area. It was a mistake! The first sight after arriving we saw kids and large tourist groups running around. It is a family friendly place, but not the kind that we expected; and a family and tourist group friendly ryokan means it...

This is my second trip to Lake Kawaguchiko; my first time staying here. Fantastic welcome by the hotel crew, we were assigned a personal staff (Suzumi) to attend to our needs during the stay. She was fantastic 'host'. The hotel compound was great, onsen was open throughout the day - unlike some others which closes between 1000 - 1500 hour...

Our family of 4 spent a night here and we had a memorable stay. Checking in was a breeze. We were quickly lead to our room although we were there and hour earlier than our check in time. The room is cleaned and the staff room that time to explain the amenities within room. Ie; green tea, refreshment, heater, yukatas...

The best part of this hotel is nice scene of Fuji. The hotel has its private view from Onsen to Fuji. Room also very clean and good maintain. Breakfast and dinner are very great too. Staffs are very nice and helpful. Only problem I encountered is Kaiseki (a traditional multi-course Japanese dinner). We have to wait a bit too long...

What a view! We stayed here in October / 2016 and had a wonderful time. As all the japanese, the staff was very helpful, although english is not easy for them. We had a wonderful kayseki style dinner in the room. Breakfast was odd, as japanese breakfast is far different from ours. All the rooms face the lake and we...
