We arrived at 8pm, the views of the lakes with sparkling lights from all hotels surrounding the lake is breathtaking scenery. When I wake up in the morning the view from the glass windows are so beautiful, feels like watching big screen panoramic. Check in process is quite slow but fine. Front desk Staff are very friendly and helpful. He...

It is an old building but this must be expected otherwise how could it occupy such a valuable site on the shore of the lake. Though old, the place has been well maintained and there is no sign of age. The decorations are not modern nor luxurious but quite elegant. Sitting at the lobby, sipping coffee, you can have an...

Stayed for two nights in lake view deluxe room with private bath. From other guests' comments on the dated room, luckily, I believe our room has been somehow recently renovated. Room is really comfy and spacious, with nice view of Lake Kawaguchi. Having private bath in our room is very good, considering the public bath is average with limited view...

Agreed with other visitors that hotel was run-down. Room faced the lake, which was nice. The hotel has an enclosed observatory on the 7th floor for viewing Mt Fuji but sadly, it was completely rainy and cloudy on the day we wanted to view the sunrise. Dinner was rushed - perhaps they wanted to ensure that we managed to catch...

On Lake Kawaguchi. Nicely updated large classic old onsen hotel only about a 10-15 minute walk from the station. Although limited English is spoken, they do make every effort to treat you royally. A night's stay including dinner is a must. I cannot write a better review than the June 23, 2016 reviewer, so that's a must read. Our room...

We paid $400 AUD a night for this hotel $1200 for three nights, which is a lot even though Japanese hotels in general are expensive. Reading, the hotel reviews we had high expectations. We were very disappointed. Although the hotel is in a good location and has lovely views and viewing areas, the actual room is very dated and average,...

Our western style room not only had magical views but was large by Japanese standards and very comfortable. We enjoyed the Japanese robes and the food/restaurants. You can stay in a Japanese (ryokan) style rooms if you prefer. A walk in the garden is beautiful. Recommended

My experience at Fuji Lake was a mix ranging from fantastic to hopeless. Waking up early in the morning to see Mt Fuji in all its beauty accompanied to wonderful bird song (if you open the window) was just priceless. You can take a bath (Japanese style) or take a shower enjoying the same view (if you are lucky with...

We spent two nights at the Fuji lake hotel and were very happy there. We enjoyed our Japanese/Western style room that included western beds as well as a large tatami-floored area. We were in the East wing and had a lovely view of the lake. The room was comfortable and spacious. Staff is exceptionally pleasant and helpful, even though english...
