Our western style room not only had magical views but was large by Japanese standards and very comfortable. We enjoyed the Japanese robes and the food/restaurants. You can stay in a Japanese (ryokan) style rooms if you prefer. A walk in the garden is beautiful. Recommended

My experience at Fuji Lake was a mix ranging from fantastic to hopeless. Waking up early in the morning to see Mt Fuji in all its beauty accompanied to wonderful bird song (if you open the window) was just priceless. You can take a bath (Japanese style) or take a shower enjoying the same view (if you are lucky with... More

We spent two nights at the Fuji lake hotel and were very happy there. We enjoyed our Japanese/Western style room that included western beds as well as a large tatami-floored area. We were in the East wing and had a lovely view of the lake. The room was comfortable and spacious. Staff is exceptionally pleasant and helpful, even though english... More

What a wonderful stay! Quaint hotel with attention to details. From the moment we donned the kimonos provided for us, with the wonderful eclectic dinner, it was true relaxation. It is pricey but all were in that area. We got a room with a view of Mt. Fuji and we got to watch the sun rise over it. You can... More

We booked Fuji Lake Hotel thru' Japanican.com after a long search that could meet our need of a package that included an onsen, breakfast and dinner with Mt Fuji view. Upon arrival, we went to Tourist center to request the hotel to pick up us from Kawaguchiko station and the journey was about 5-10 min. The van was comfortable and... More

We had the room facing the lake and it was spectacular. We could also see Mount Fuji while eating our breakfast. The onsen was big, well maintained and had both indoor, semi and outdoor settings. The rooms were spacious. My room came with westernized beds together with a tatami area. The evening housekeeping set up the futon for us. It... More

The name of the hotel best describes the hotel :) "breathtaking mt Fuji view" There is in house "onzen" which is the public bath (separated according to gender of course)! It is indeed a must try local culture that you should brave yourself with! The hot spring water apparently will smoothen your skin (like skii) and there are the indoor... More

Stayed one night while on our trip around Japan and this was a real highlight. Room was split in two halves - ryokan on one side and western on the other. Our boys had a lot of fun in their sleeping robes and futons on tatami mats, in a room facing Lake Kawaguchiko. The traditional Japanese dinner was a delight... More

We were booked into this hotel for our 2nd night because our hotel has no hot water. The ryokan rooms are so clean and so beautiful. The outdoor onsen is amazing too! Our room faces the beautiful Lake Kawaguchi. And you can have breakfast while watching the mesmerizing Mount Fuji!! Definitely will come back here and stay again soon!

A dream wrapped up in a dream. Make sure you leave enough time to immerse yourself here. The journey from Tokyo to Fujikawaguchiko means passing through beautiful mountains, over rivers, past traditional houses, farms... and the first glimpse you get of Fuji-san will take your breath away! Hotel picks you up from the station. All staff were incredibly polite and... More
