If you're looking for a close view of Mount Fuji for your stay, you should stay here and you won't regret it. Special mention for the hotel staff reception, Mr Sugimoto. I left my wedding ring and bangle in the room during my stay. After contacting the hotel, Mr Sugimoto went all the way to assist in mailing it back... More

We went to Kozantei Ubuya after a week of busy-lovely Tokyo and it was the perfect thing to do. The whole experience is unique and when being in Japan one should make sure to visit an Onsen anyway but I believe this one is especially nice and special. The facilities are very elegant, the staff is super polite and the... More

The first day was cloudy hence we couldn't see mt Fuji. The second day, we woke up at 5.30am and was greeted by Mt Fuji. We were so excited, we got out of the hotel to take pictures. Thereafter proceeded with a run around the lake.the run was enjoyable with the breathtaking view. many friends told me i was lucky... More

We stayed at Kozantei Ubuya for two nights following 5 days in Tokyo and the stay was everything we expected it to be! We arrived from Tokyo with the direct train to Kawaguchiko station (direct from Shinjuku), which cost approximately 4000yen (around 40 USD/CHF). The tourist desk at the station contacts the hotel and they come down to pick you... More

A night at Kozantei Ubuya was a comfortable and pleasant. You can wake up with a spectacular view of the lake and Mt Fuji, definitely a perk to start a brand new day. Room was spacious with nice tatami and sleep on futon. Bathroom and toilet were separated, and was a small counter with basin, good for making tea. This... More

Beautiful hotel with attentive staff and beautiful views. Unfortunately, the weather was too foggy for us to see Mt. Fuji, but the lake and town still make a lovely panorama. Wi-fi doesn't work in the rooms which is slightly inconvenient but not a huge issue. Also, I didn't love the breakfast. A few more simple but healthy options (like yoghurt)... More

We just stayed one night on Dec. Every room can see the Fuji Mountain. And we booked the room that has private hot spring in our own room. The view of Fuji Mountain is very beautiful. The service is so excellent. Our dinner is sukiyaki with A5 beef. It was so full and delicious.

We spent 4 nights in the beautiful Fuji five lakes area and due to availability, we ended up staying at 3 different ryokans in the following order, the Mizuno Hotel (2 nights), Fujiginkei (1 night), and Kozantei Ubuya. The order also reflects pricing from low to high. All of our rooms had direct views of Fuji mountain and all were... More

After a long looking for a hotel to see Mt Fuji, it's finally here. This one is located on the best location that you can sit and see Mt. Fuji from your room, wide and large window. We went there with my family. The room is very spacious for 3 adults and 2 children. Fantastic!. When you arrive the Kawaguchiko... More

The main reason for staying here is to completely relax and destress in full view of the beautiful Mt Fuji. The onsen is fantastic and spotless, suite with private hot tub was wonderfully furnished and huge, kaseki dinner was good. It is expensive, yes, but worth it for the view and impeccable service.
