Everytime I fly to Japan I ask my friend to go to Yamanashi to enjoy the real Japan, its feeling, spirit, peace of mind and, at the same time, besides the soul, to make also the body happy with the hot springs and the food. Not far from Tokyo, a couple of hours by car, it is a very good...

Pre-trip After making a room booking indicating non-smoking room, the next day the ryokan sent me email via booking.com to inform that they don't have non-smoking room. I appreciated their notification. Being a non-smoker sensitive to smoking smell, I was anxious that if the room reeked of smoke, it would be a terrible stay. The ryokan promised that they would...

The things I most loved here are private onsen for people not familiar with public bathing and they also mix modern western bathroom utensils and technology which blends smoothly to its Japanese design.

Back from Mt Fuji climb this was perfect respite to lick our wounds. Onsen, massage and haven of tranquility. Location next to lake would improve it and food especially turret shell was hard work but fabulous place

Our experience in this Ryokan was completely spoilt by the lack of skills of the team there. We paid a fortune for a presidential suite for 2 adults+2children. They made us pay for the 2 children on top of the price of the room. So beware of that. We decided to try the "authentic "dinner which costs 16 000 yen...

Onsenji Yumedono Ryokan is a nice traditional Japanese relax experience stay. We arrived at Kawaguchiko station, asked tourist information center to call hotel for pick up. Hotel van arrived shortly within less than 10 mins. A lady staff named Hana assisted us to our executive suite and check in was done by her to scan our passports. Our room has...

Pro: Good email communication with the manager, friendly service, and very nice room, odd pick up service (will explain later) Con: 20 mins away from the tourist bus station. No waiting area. No early check-in. Overall this is a very special hotel that worth a visit. It has no FUJI mountain view but doesn’t really concern us. At the FUJI...

This hotel is situated (what I consider) a short walk from Kawaguchiko station, approximately 10-15minutes. Alternatively you can take a taxi from the station quite cheaply. The surrounding area is pleasant and peaceful. The hotel itself is lovely and although a little pricey it is well worth it for anyone wanting to experience staying in a traditional Japanese ryokan. We...

Right upon arriving at the train station it was a great experience. We were picked up and greeted by the hotel driver/car within 10 minutes of arriving. The room was very traditional, if you're looking for something Authentic this is the place to be. Our host was very friendly. Very courteous and polite. Always made sure everything went well. It...
