We stayed in number 50 cottage. What a lovely stay! The cottage was 2 huge bedrooms, and even bigger and grander bathrooms! water was hot and plentiful with good water pressure. However we were mindful drought and kept the showers short. There was a lovely comfortable lounge room with TV. There was also a quaint library area with books to...

We were pleasantly surprised with the quality of the "Tuishuise"self catering houses. The rooms were very large and spacious, and really managed to capture the essence of small old town living. The place was clean, and well equipped. My family and I greatly enjoyed our short stop over stay in Cradock.

This place was just awesome. The rooms, the service, the food and the ambiance were really something special. If there is a better place to stay in the Karoo, I haven't found it yet. I recommend the Tuinhuise for anyone planning to stay over I Cradock

Die Tuishuise felt like an experience as much as a guesthouse stay. Walking past the rows of cottages made being there feel like something different and special right from the start. Our cottage (Die Werf) had 3 bedrooms just for the two of us and was huge, with comfortable furnishings and unique decorations. It was much more space than we...

Die Tuishuise are about 30 cottages down the street from the Victoria Manor that have been restored and filled with antiques, but they're still very functional. It was living in a museum! They have lots of books about explaining the history and karoo culture. The cottage itself was great -- we had four rooms to ourselves in a house. We...

We spent two nights at the Tuishuise and were very impressed. The house we stayed in (Mays) was so special and one can see a lot of thought has gone into the decor and furnishings. Staff are extremely helpful and friendly and the food was exceptional! Thanks guys!

We booked as a family of 6 and were given a cottage with the name of Lion House. It was a real authentic Settler dwelling. The evening meal was so brilliant with Karoo lamb as centre piece. Breakfast another treat. This is a must if you go to the Eastern Cape.

I stay weekly at Die Tuishuise and have never experienced anything other than consistently high standards throughout the establishment. All the houses meet all my requirements and are very well equipped, have high standards of cleanliness and the dinner and breakfast facilities offer an excellent ambience and food range.

What a fantastic place to stay. We had such value for money. A whole house for two. Definitely dog friendly. Great food. I love the old world charm. Friendly staff. A place for romance and recuperation.
