Die Tuishuise is my preferred accommodation when visiting Cradock. Staff is always friendly and helpful. The accommodation is unique and very clean. Everything you will need is available. Feels like a home away from home. Will recommend to any visitor to Cradock. The location is convenient is the centre of town. Excellent service.

We loved our stay at the Tuinhuise; we had a complete 3 bedroom house from the Victorian age at our disposal. The house was superbly appointed, meticulously clean and fresh firewood was supplied daily. An evening fire is a must in Cradock, which gets extremely cold in winter. But no fear, we also had electric blankets and we enjoyed every... More

Very nice and cozy place. A three bedroom house that takes you back to the 1900's. Very well maintained. We stayed there for a night and will definitely be going there again. Service was outstanding. House was clean, bed comfortable, AC/heater. All of modern comforts in a very old house. It's a different experience for sure that neither my wife... More

These lovingly authentic restorations of old cottages in this lovely Karoo dorp are the 'only' place to stay in Cradock. Attached to the homely countryhotel, they transport you to a byegone era of when life was a little slower and more comfortable

We visited on a work trip and stayed one night, a Sunday, in Miller's Cottage (I think, I forgot to write it down!). The cottages are old and beautiful. Ours was comfortable and spacious with suitably creaky wooden floors. Everything was clean and fresh and we were made to feel welcome by everyone. Dinner was the highlight, in the gorgeous... More

On arrival in Cradock, we thankfully did not stay at our first B&B enquiry. We moved on to Die Tuishuise, & thankfully so. What an experience, our "own" cottage for my wife & I to "rattle around" in. The staff were exceptionally efficient, Gibson at front desk, Max to show me the cottage, Rosemary to book us in & Amos... More

I am a professional field and tour guide specializing in photographic, walking, wildlife and motorcycle tours and safaris. The individual houses are stunning and it feels like time travel. Our particular house had two bedrooms, a dining room, large kitchen, bathrooms; we certainly could not complain about lack of space. With the exception of breakfast the second morning (the lady serving seemed to have a bad day), service was absolutely outstanding. The food, both breakfast and dinner, was... More

This must surely be one of South Africa's finest and most unique accommodation establishments. One is transported back in time to superbly renovated houses which boast all the so-called modern comforts. It was like visiting Granny 70 years ago all over again. The attention to detail is quite amazing and everything is done to maintain the unique ambiance, from fresh... More
