Back here for the 5th time. It is my go-to place for an escape from Athens every summer now. Just a little more than two hours from Piraeus, a small piece of peace on the island, spotless, quiet, fun, wonderful stuff, and one of the last affordable places in Sifnos. Oh, and Areti's gemista (stuffed vegetables) are to die for!

Must be one of the best camping in Greece!! Amazingly clean, beautiful, many shady spots, not too crowded all in all just perfect!! Mr. Makis and the staff are so welcoming, very polite and ready to help you with everything you need. Just 1 min away from the super sandy beach of Kamares. Totally recommended for anyone that wants to relax and enjoy the holidays to the fullest!!

Five star camping. The location, the setting, the trees, proximity to town and beach, the people, the bathrooms, the communal eating areas, the small special touches eg tables, chairs, hammers etc and most importantly the people are all five plus star. Sifnos is also gorgeous, wild and full of natural beauty. Love love loved it. Thank you Mr Makis!!

We rent to tents at makis camping, end of august, the price was 25 euros per night per two persons, which is a real bargain if you consider that it was august and that the camping is directly on the beach. The place was really clean, always they where ladies cleaning. The atmosphere was like a hostel, meeting people at the kitchen or in the small bar. The only disadvantage was that the camping is not very big so the tents are really close. All in all, a good experience.

Can highly recommend staying at Makis Camping on the lovely island of Sifnos. It's a short distance from the port of Kamares, and two minutes from the beach. Great facilities for campers, reasonable rates for some lovely rooms (some with sea views) & really friendly and helpful owners.

Really clean camping and Makis friendly and a professional. The toilets where really clean and the facilities really comfortable. The only thing is that the camping is quite small so if you are searching for a shadow you have to hurry. Thank you for everything Makis

Have been camping all over Greece for several years. This has been by far the most hospitable, cleanest and enjoyable camping site ever stayed at. On top of all Makis personality and genuine Greek warm and honest attitude towards his guests. Surely made me wish to go back again this year!! Of course all this combined with Sifnos island magic - especially for trekking enthusiasts who have much to discover!!!

l stayed 3 nights at Makis camping last july. It was the third time for me! Sifnos is a nice place for hiking and Makis knows the best places and he gave me a lot of information and showed me the paths on the map.The camping is small but very nice and near the port.l can't wait to visit it again and see more places.

I am in Sifnos and I work here for the season. My problem was I could not find any accomodation that would accept my dog... So the camping site was the only solution. I do love camping, but I was a bit stressed because work is long hours and camping is difficult... that's what I thought! Makis is really friendly with my dog (my dog does not bark, does not dig holes, does not pee next to other peoples' tents and is really friendly with kids), he will go out of his way to find solutions to your problems. The camping site is really quiet at all times (my sleeping hours are really precious). Everything here is sparkling clean, showers, toilets and the kitchen! Plus, the beach is only one minute away and waters are shallow (well, not my personal favorite, but it's great for kids and people who don't like deep waters). I am very happy here and I do recomend it for people who like camping!

I can't believe what I read down here... I've been to Greece several times & I visited a lot of islands, but Sifnos (and Makis' Camping) stays the most beautifull place I know! The owner of the camping is such a charming man. He' s always very friendly and helps you with anything. I'll alwys have the feeling I'm arriving with family. His place is also very clean. I prefer a few very clean toilets and showers instead of twenty dirty ones. Another important thing I adore: at night it is so quiet you can sleap on! This year I'm surely going back to Sifnos & Makis' camping. It's the perfect way to relax and get energy to start working in september!!
