Must be one of the best camping in Greece!! Amazingly clean, beautiful, many shady spots, not too crowded all in all just perfect!! Mr. Makis and the staff are so welcoming, very polite and ready to help you with everything you need. Just 1 min away from the super sandy beach of Kamares. Totally recommended for anyone that wants to relax and enjoy the holidays to the fullest!!

By far the best services i have ever encountered in a camping. The camping was FULL and everything was working smoothly! The toilets and the showers were ALWAYS clean, the prices in the market are good, and Makis is always there for anything you need. This camping is a reason to visit this island. I think it will be even better if you visit it off season.

We stayed in a room (not in a tent), which was clean, new, air-conditioned, with a balcony and a sea view. There was a cleaning service every day, and towels were changed every day, too. There were even hooks around the room and inside the bathroom for us to hang our clothes on, which is rare in any type of tourist accommodation. There are two cons for me to mention, and these are: 1. I regret having picked the couch to sleep in so I could give my friend the double bed, because the mattress on the couch must have been synthetic as I found myself sweating a lot during sleep. 2. Also, I would have liked to be able to select not only the temperature on the air-conditioning remote, but also the fan power. On the whole, however, the property was very clean and well-cared-for, and the staff were kind and ever-so-helpful. I especially appreciated the fact that there was someone at the reception 24/7,and that there was a beach only a few steps away from the property. I also appreciated, near the reception, a. the spacious luggage storage and b. the rack of reading material (left behind by travellers eager to make their luggage lighter); I don't mind dusty books, and there were ones in various languages, such as Sifnos travel guides to help us plan our little escapades, for example. There was even a voluminous Larousse cooking dictionary in French (!) which delightfully accompanied my morning coffee every day. Had a great stay there, definintely going back!…

What an amazing place! Really nice camping spots with plenty of shade, next to the beach, equipped with complete kitchen area, nice canteen etc. The whole camping is spotless, i’ve never seen such clean bathrooms! Mr. Makis is an inviting and friendly person who created an impressively nice camping place.

Fourth time in Sifnos and I decided to stay at Makis camping, which I've checked the previous year. And what a stay it was! Spotless camping area and bathrooms, friendly and inviting atmosphere, caring staff (thank you Areti and Kostas!), a mini market with great prices and also food (limited choice of dishes but the food is made fresh every day and they have the cheapest greek salad on the island and one of the best, too).

We're from the US and we've camped all over the world. Maki's was one of the best tent campgrounds we've ever been to. It is really great for backpackers like us. Great location, not far from the port so you can walk, wonderful facilities for cooking, plus they have a small market and they prepare meals. Very laid back vibe to the atmosphere, and the employees are some of the nicest we met in Greece.

Makis camping is a nice camping area in Sifnos. Mr Makis a real greek gentleman, he welcome me from the first moment and he was a really good and helpfull hostess. Camping was clean,warm water always. the kitschen was always clean and ready to use the crew very friendly.also was good priced for that time of the year(Mai). Highly recommended!!!!

Really clean camping and Makis friendly and a professional. The toilets where really clean and the facilities really comfortable. The only thing is that the camping is quite small so if you are searching for a shadow you have to hurry. Thank you for everything Makis

I cannot say enough great things about Makis Camping. The owner and all the staff are very friendly and helpful, always ready with recommendations and suggestions of what to do on Sifnos and look after everybody really well! The whole place is immaculately clean 24/7, who knew a campsite could be cleaner and better organised than built accommodation? All the tents for rent are spacious and of great quality and have been placed under canopies or trees so that they never get hot (we stayed in August and didn't find the heat uncomfortable at all) and are supplied with mattresses, sheets and pillows at no extra charge. There are super clean toilet and shower blocks, with proper new showers (and proper hot water!!). The small café on site has good camping supplies and breakfast/snack foods on hand and there is a beautiful outdoor seating area where you may eat/drink things you've bought elsewhere. The campsite is only a 10 minute walk from the port so it's a super easy arrival and is only a few minutes walk to the great waterfront restaurants (and bakery) in Kamares and a beautiful sand beach right in front of the campsite. There is a speedy and relatively frequent bus service to other parts of the island (keep a copy of the timetable on your phone) or taxi firms if you'd prefer. Having experienced campsites on other islands in the area (that all charge the same prices) this island is the ONLY one I would return to for camping. Sifnos is also generally just a brilliant island :). If you are planning on a camping holiday on a great Greek island I cannot recommend it highly enough, we LOVED IT! This is a beautiful camp on a beautiful island, right behind the beach, perfect for watching the sunset. Facilities are clean, hosts are very helpful, kitchen with everything you need. Would stay here again anytime.
