The in house chef were simply awesome, They made the food from fresh vegetables from the nearby farms. Had alot of fruits and other options available all the time. tea anytime. just ask... More

This is closest what nature can bring .it's right there right now ..and you wouldn't want to trade this for any 3or 5 star luxury . This camp is luxury of an ethereal variety .those wanting to pucker noses at rustic and raw facilities with community bathrooms and washrooms or those expecting 4 star meals;stay away!!! And those who want... More

Visit date: March 23-25, 2016 This is my first time to this camp but I have stayed at their other camps before. The camp is accessible by road. Parking is available. Day weather is lovely, but the night is a bit chilly still at this time of the year. There's a lot of vehicular traffic to and fro Mukteshwar, but... More

Beautiful camp with the beautiful view, that's what they have all. Bad food, high disgusting facilities with arrogant staff to add on. Deepu who claims to be the owner of the camp is difficult ot tolerate. Pathetic services altogether. If you travelling with family and friends please avoid this camp. But, it is good if you are travelling with the... More

Went with my family (wife and 4 yr old son), stayed for two nights. Very close to main road, so no hiking specially when you are with kids. The view from each tent is amazing so no favourites. The guys managing are very friendly and were helping in each possible way. like serving tea at your tent on request, etc.... More

The people running this place are doing an outstanding job of it and regaled us with tales of the village, of leopards and of past camp visitors alongside sumptuous local cuisine and a bonfire under the stars. The activities (rock climbing, rapelling, jungle trek) were all great, even more so because of the clear instructions given by Ravi bhaiya and... More

This place was highly recommended by a friend, so I chose this place over other plans, and I am glad I did that. It was an experience in itself, from the beautiful surroundings to the trek and rappelling, this beautiful place has so much to offer. The staff was friendly, the food was awesome and the ghost stories over the... More

I visited Camp Purple on a office training program. the camp is right next to the main road and still manages to offer peace and quiet. The hosts and amicable and are also experts in adventures around Mukhteshwar. The tents are clean and warm. The only drawback is the washrooms. One, they are at a distance and secondly they can... I visited Camp Purple on May 11 with my family. It was one of the best experiences we have had. It is a camp but with basic amenities well in place. The kids were thrilled with the tents and all the adventure activities organised by the enthusiastic young team there. They even took us overnight camping in the forest one... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Perched on the Mukteshwar ridge in an apple orchard is Camp Purple, a name inspired by the ever changing colour of the sky at sunset. This sleepy Himalayan town with some of the best snow peaks views is a walkers dream strewn with meadows, jungles and temples. Located at one the highest ridges of central Himalayas (7,200 feet), 55kms from Nainital, 313 kms from Delhi. The ridge stands formidably out into a sea of mountains from where everything is falling around. The horizon is also below you with wide open skies cluttered with stars. Every season brings surprises. With the blossoming orchards in spring, to succulent peaches apricots and plums in summer. From the magical sunsets of monsoons in techno colour clouds to yellows and browns of autumn to the burning red on the endless Himalayan snow covered peaks in winter. If all this does not drive you mad there is rock climbing/rappelling at the cliffs, deep jungles for explorations and completely mast pahadi Camp Purple team to take you around their villages for a friendly Himalayan meal. ... more   less
