Architecture: this hotel even though is a new construction is a labour of love. the attempt to replicate authentic details, natural materials and honest construction has all resulted in creation of nothing less that a Sikkimese Palace. im sure it is crafted (im using the word crafted here as the main building is) with much pain and hardwork. The Chumbi Mountain Retreat spa is like big courtyard and hotel look like a small kingdom set in Middle pelling. You need to go 2 km from upper pelling to reach this gem. Hotel staff are very courteous(which is USP of Sikkim) and they are so sincere in their hospitality. Rooms are well decorated with all modernized amenities which will...

The hotel is in a great location overlooking the Himalayan range. Just out of pelling centre but is possible walk about 10minutes uphill. Clean well presented hotel and friendly accomodating staff. There are great terraces to sit and view kajunjunga. The only comment I would have is do not have the expectation of western service to match the look of...

The resort commands a great view of the Himalayan ranges from the rooms itself. Decor is superb with wooden beams on the ceiling. The rooms and suites are well decorated but lighting is insufficient as well as frequent power cuts when the room heater does not work. There is no wifi which is a huge negative point. Food served at...

Truly an amazing property that has been built with love, dedication and hard work with an exceptional eye for detail. The basic theme of the hotel is based on a monastery and this is reflected ALL over the property. The extensive woodwork is of a standard that is comparable to the best of the best if not better. Staff are...
