This hotel was booked for me by a local business. I arrived from Paris for a meeting in the afternoon, checked in that evening about 6 which was quick. Since I just arrived from the US that morning I was really tired and wanted a meal and get some sleep, but dinner didn't open until 8 --- that's fine ---... More

We stayed at the hotel on the 7th September on our way back from the South of France to Haslemere. This is the fifth time we have made an overnight stop here and look forward to it every year. The location is lovely, looking over parkland to the lake. On arrival, and having driven over 400 miles, we always have... More

I've been twice now to sing in the Noirlac festival. It's a simple hotel with nice individual touches. The staff have been excellent. They kept the bar open for us after our concert at Noirlac Festival in the former monastery up the road AND I left a book behind which they sent back to me totally free of charge. Amazing.... More

Not an obvious stopping over point but we used this on a leisurely drive from Cherbourg to Serignan. The hotel is privately owned by Claudi and his wife who are both hands on and highly visible. Claudi used to farm the land and liking people used to invite lots of friends to the family home until one day (27 years... More

The hotel sits on a nice property adjacent to a very large lake. We were there in cold/cool weather, before spring, I imagine in spring and summer it is much prettier. The rooms are small with a modern decor. The bathroom is small with shower. The lobby area is very comfortable with a full service bar. The restaurant was quite... More

Hotel in need of extensive make over. Decorations very poor, bathroom with mould on mastik around the bath and cracked and discoloured sink. Don't believe the previous reviews. The restaurant was awful. The bouef bourgignon consisted of reheated potatoes, reheated meat served on cold plates. Disgusting. The breakfast was the most basic I have ever seen in France and was... The room was clean and tidy although the decorations were starting to show signs of wear and tear. We had an excellent meal in the restaurant and the service there was extremely good. Breakfast offered an extensive selection of foodstuff, adequate for most tastes and appetites, with no restrictions on quantity. There was a wedding party on the night we... More

We had a three-night stay. The staff were courteous and helpful, our room was clean and comfortable, with a fine view across parkland to a lake. We saw deer. The decor is modern and stylish, and there's a heated outdoor pool, still open when we were there during a warm spell in September, though it closes when the weather gets... More

We have stayed here a number of times on our journey to and from Spain. Very friendly, excellent food, great pool for a dip after journey. Clean and fresh refurbished bedrooms. Do book in advance if you can.

Returning from southern France we found ourselves stranded at St Amand-Montrond due to our cars alternator packing up ! Anyway guy at garage suggested this place and directed us there.
