Hotel Heritage Mandawa is a haveli that needs considerable renovation. It tries to accommodate groups but its infrastructure cannot handle this. The dining room is in another building and very narrow and cramped. There is hardly any place when they serve a buffet meal. Groups take over the dining area making it difficult for couples or families to get a...

This was the worst hotel we stayed in. The building itself looks magnificent but the rooms we had very very poor. Shabby bedding, dark rooms, the restaurant was like a staff canteen. The food very poor. There where some rooms on the ground floor that where much better, such a shame we did not ask for a better room, I...

After having 3 nights booked and paid for in advance, I was removed from the hotel after a night and transferred to the owners second class hotel because "Bollywood actors" were coming in town. The wi-fi didn't work at all, and the bed hurt my back.

A magnificent building and good enough room. Pity we couldn't get the hot water for the shower to work. The evening meal was a buffet with no other choices which wasn't so good. The locals wait outside the hotel to ambush tourists and take them on a walking tour of the decrepit Havelis. We went with a guy called Raj...

The perspective is that this is a reasonable hotel in a small town in India, so perfection is not likely. The decoration of the place is wonderful and our room was large enough and looked great. However, and there has to be a however, it was not very clean, our toilet seat wasn't fixed to the toilet, one bedside light...

I stayed 4 nights in this beautiful, heritage, haveli hotel. I got one of the most beautiful room! It was wonderful, all of the wall and ceiling was painted with incredible, colourful murals. I admired my room for hours, because the so many details. The staff is very helpful and freindly. All of the haveli is beautiful, every room has...

Hotel is nice. They will offer you a tour but its better to go outside yourself. We went for a walk and got a great tour from Raj and his little cousin., They took us around the town, if you have time I would highly recommend you give him a ring. He speaks perfect English and knows everything about his town...

This hotel is very beatiful from outside. Our problems started in the room..the wi fi didn't work, the washroom was dirty and the shower lost water. The AC was very noisy and was above the pillows, so sleeping was difficult.

I stayed at the Heritage for one night in April. The hotel is beautiful it stands out from the rest. Once I checked in and was settled in the room a knock came at the door and I found the manager greeting me, he had a hotel guide with him and suggested that I go visit the Havilas with him,...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
This is Hotel Heritage, Mandawa which is in Rajasthan. It is roughly 170 kms away from the Pink City of Jaipur. The hotel is constructed in an area of around 3000 sq. yards. The building has two floors, ground and first. It has large rooms, which have been divided in categories such as Suites, Deluxe, and Standard Rooms. Each room has an attached modern bath. The decorum of these rooms has been created in Rajasthani culture and is seeped in history. Hotel walls boast of miniature paintings, which at places depict amorous postures and at others depict chapters of Indian history. Whereas on the one hand the hotel depicts the ancient culture, on the other hand it provides all the modern amenities a foreign tourist is so used to. The hotel has a restaurant where besides authentic Rajasthani cuisine you can also enjoy continental fares, which will let you keep in touch with your roots. You can enjoy a candlelight dinner as well. There is also a well stocked bar for the ones fond of Bacchus. The greatest plus is that all our guests are welcomed with garlands in the traditional Rajasthani style. You can enjoy an evening of Rajasthani folk dance, music and puppets as well. Special shows are organized on the request of the guests. Books are available here for the reading pleasures of the guests. ... more   less
