One of the most spectacular and unique settings you are likely to find in Rajastan! The grounds and the room are beautiful and unlike anywhere I've ever stay before. There's not many better places to enjoy a kingfisher and watch the sunset than on the desert resorts grounds! However the drinks are far from cheap and it was the only... More

Just attended a destination wedding of my relatives on 17/01/2016. Entry to the resort was average even when entire hotel was booked for our 2 days event. No decoration at all on front and some drinks were offered on arrival. Was given room no 23 and the room has only three 7 watts yellow CFLs for the name of lights.... More

We stayed here during last week of Dec as part of group tour on the way to Bikaner from Jaipur. The tour guide had mentioned that this is coldest place in Marwad, and it proved to be so in the night. The property is very unique since it is not like typical hotel. The entire property is setup like a... More

I prefer staying in boutique accommodation befitting local style and this was no exception. The location was out of town a little providing gorgeous tranquility- transport wasn't an issue for us as had an Intrepid tour bus to explore. Delightful mud huts painted with traditional lime paste in designs by local village women were spacious and comfortable. Walls were bejewelled... More

The Rooms and the doors are fantastic mud brick and wooden structures. We were at first delighted when we arrived - however, the rooms were dusty and the bathroom full of mosquitoes. Beds were good. The restaurant provided adequate meals but service was carried out by grumpy reluctant staff. Tablecloths were also not clean. I wouldn't stay there again.

Stayed during group tour on the way to Bikaner from jaipur. Great decor. Great rooms. Awesome traditional feel. Just a great hotel. The whole place is made up like a village with mud houses. the walls are very thick providing great insulation.

There are 3 things I like in a hotel: a working air conditioner, good service and safety. I had all 3 of them on my recent visit to the Desert Resort. However, this hotel is also unique because it embodies all that is Rajasthan, the desert state of India. You can physically see how it's "desert-like" with the architecture style.... More

The property is excellent, the village experience is very good, the rooms are done up in village style, the walls are plastered with mud and cow dung mix, because of this there care no mosquitoes. They receive you in maharajah style, the welcome is done with trumpets, drums with a guard of honour by guards mounted on camels. At the... More

we had a very nice and cool room in this place near the swimming pool. the buffet diner was excellent, and I normally hate buffets. the staff was very helpful. the only downside is the expensive alcohol.

This was a very different kind of hotel built to imitate what a local village would be like. Each room was either a single round 'hut' or part of a bigger complex and all the buildings were made out of mud and cow dung! All were decortated with white traditional designs. Rooms very 'ethnic' and quite comfortable but my only... More
